NEVADA BATTLEBORN S60 UPDATE

Hello everyone! We are thrilled to be embarking on what we are confident is going to be a very exciting year here in Nevada. We are extremely happy with the way our draft shaped up and with the injection of life and positivity and animals this draft class has brought into our locker room!

We have a couple of announcements to make today. First and foremost, we are very excited to share with you our new team branding! This logo adjustment was already in the works when @SecondSucks22 brought me on board, but I am proud to have been a part of the process and I’m a big fan of the way everything turned out. Huge thanks to @DrunkenTeddy for the new logo, and to @Nokazoa and @Jearim for absolutely everything during this weird and wacky transition, and to SMJHL Head Office for reviewing and approving our new logo. Special thanks as well to our team for giving their input and voting for the new logo!

Without further ado, we present the new (merchandisable) Nevada Battleborn Logo and jerseys!

CAPTAINCY

Moving on to the second segment of our entertainment - we are very pleased to announce our captaincy for the S60 SMJHL Season, as voted on by the team. We discussed naming captains from the veterans on the team, but elected to turn the decision over to the team, and after all the votes were tallied, the results were fairly clear-cut.

The S60 Nevada Battleborn captains are:

Alternate Captain - Wing Wang - (@platanocat)
Wing Wang is by far the best wurmple on the Battleborn roster, and we believe he may in fact be the most talented wurmple in the league. A Las Vegas native, Wing Wang brings dedication and humor and cocaine to the locker room every day.

Alternate Captain - Willie Miller - (@Sebster)
Willie signed with us near the end of last season, and we knew very quickly that we were determined to keep him on the team. We are thrilled that we were able to draft him when we did, and we look forward to getting to spend a full season with him now that we’ve brought him back for keeps. Also, he is a human.

Captain - Melvin Majestik-Moose - (@SchwarzNarr)
We believe Melvin to be a generational talent, and we could not be happier to have been able to select him in this draft. Melvin, despite being a moose, has the makings of a true leader, and we are very proud to see him wear the C for Nevada this season.
