With season 60 around the corner Anchorage Armada had to give awards to their season 59 best players in 12 categories. With everyone award ceremony happened on-line, where everyone was from their homes. We saw all kind atmosphere. Some players still took it seriously and dressed in suits and was just drinking vine, some were in pool drinking margaritas and having fun with friends. No matter how everyone spends their time we all are one big family.
So before award ceremony has started I just wanted to say that this season was tough and somehow magical. We saw some great goals, some great plays. Big thanks to teams all time leader Pablo Salvatici. He was huge for Anchorage in last two seasons. We wish him all the best in his future.
Ok, lets wipe tears and have some fun.

First three awards will go to best players in three stat categories, I think it will be ok to get these awards away quick

Playmaker - most assists in the season 59
Cole Carter (46 assists)

Goal Machine - most scored goals in the season 59
Tokkulu Lakkamaa (26 goals)

Stats King - most points in the season 59
Pablo Salvatici (69 points)

After some short break we have returned to Anchorage Armada on-line awards show. Where everyone wins and no one looses, because these sites from players places is awesome. Just saw someone jumping into pool with Paul Binder, it looks so fun. Meanwhile teams captain Bean Beanman did some crazy trick with beer bottles. Like I said we are all winners here.

Our first award will be for teams Best Defenseman and nominees are:
Bean Beanman
Gregory Goode
Jean-Locke Zidane

All three of these candidates have been great. Goode won leagues best defenseman award and was teams best defenseman in both goals and assists. Beanman has been teams captain all his life and after he moves up to SHL Armada will probably retire his jersey and letter C on jersey. Meanwhile Zidane has proved his place in defenseman elite. Not much goals, assists, but he does a lot of dirty work and helps in defence. Congratulations ...
Jean-Locke Zidane
Zidane was great in defence for team. His 92 penalty minutes, 87 blocked shots, 280 hits and 86 DRG were all best in team. No doubt Zidane is great and dedicated defenseman and he will be one of the best defensemans in SHL when he will go up.

Next award will go to teams Best Offensive Defenseman and nominees are:
Gregory Goode
Josh Jennings
Valdis Vejonis

Vejonis and Jennings has showed their potential not only in defence but in offence too. Both created many important goals for team-mates. Congratulations ...
Gregory Goode
Goode was defenseman who lead teams all defenseman in all three stats (goals, assists, points), second best defenseman in +/- (after Zidane), tied in teams powerplay goals. Of course his 244 shots on goals were best in team too. Coach trusts Goode so no wonder he played average 23 mins on ice last season and almost average 4 minutes in game in powerplay too.

Our third award will go to teams Best Goalie and nominees are:
Guy Fieri
Bean Gamble
Willie Macdougal
All three goalies got some play time. Of course teams number one goalie was Guy Fieri. Willie and Bean got some play time too and showed some great performance. Congratulations ...
Guy Fieri
Altough with speculations that maybe teams captain Bean Beanman made some protests on behalf of Bean Gamble it all stayed only rumours. Fieri showed some experienced players skills. 31 wins was third best in league, but he played 7 games less than best goalie in wins, so wins % best was Fieri. Fieri allowed average 2.53 goals in game, it was one of the best stats in league too.

Fourth award will go to teams Best Defensive Forward and nominees are:
Tokkulu Lakkamaa
David S. Pumpkins
Pablo Salvatici
All three of these forwards have been great in both sides on ice. We heard rumours that Pablo Salvatici got this nominee because he bribed committee. Armada made it clear that these rumours were false. Pablo showed his skills not only in offence but on defence too where he was second best in hits. Eyebrows were lifted when committee nominated Pumpkins for this award. He showed his potential in both ends of the ice, but there were far better candidates for this award for sure. Lakkamaas nominee was interesting too. He was teams best goal scorer altough he did some great job in defence too. His stats were in the middle of group. Congratulations ...
Tokkulu Lakkamaa
Tokkulu showed his dedication in both ends of the ice. On one had he scored goals but to score goals you need to play good in defence to get puck. Tokkulu did just that.

Fifth award will go to teams Best Forward and nominees are:
Cole Carter
Tokkulu Lakkamaa
Pablo Salvatici

No doubt thats for this award committee will nominate all three forwards from first line. They all had great chemistry together. When they were on ice they showed magic. All three of them dominated on ice. As you remember they all got their awards for winning individual stats line. And in league too they got three out of four best point places. Congratulations ...
Pablo Salvatici
Pablo showed his skills not only by being teams best point scorer, but he was all leagues best point scorer. I think that tells alot about his potential.

Sixth award will be awarded for Break of the Year or Most Improved Player and nominees are:
Cole Carter
Gregory Goode
Josh Jennings

Cole shocked fans with his outstanding performance all season long. Goode improved in all aspects as well. Not only in offence but in defence too. Josh as Goode improved compared to last season a lot, altough Josh joined team only in the middle of the season 58. Congratulations ...
Cole Carter
In season 58 Cole was in no-mans land. He played average. Last season was different. Coaching stuff trusted him and shocked fans by putting Cole in first line with Pablo and Tokkulu. And from the start of the season Cole proved that he belongs there, he belongs to the top. No wonder Cole was named all leagues most improved player.

Next award will be awarded to Best Rookie and nominees are:
Guy Fieri
Bean Gamble
Benjamin Jansson
Willie Macdougal
Alf Magnusson
LaTrell McDonald
Mikhail Novikov
Before season 59 team lost some great players. Managament did some great job in draft and free agents market to bring in some great talent and no doubt that some of them will be nest SHL superstars. Congratulations ...
LaTrell McDonald
LaTrell came in as a dark horse but from the get go he proved all his critics that he is a real deal. 38 points showed that he has came in to win. LaTrell was teams fourth best goal scorer with 22. He was second best at shooting %. His talent is unbelivible. LaTrell was in race for all leagues best rookie award.

Second to last award will go to Best Player in post season or Play-off MVP and nominees are:
Cole Carter
Pablo Salvatici
Jean-Locke Zidane

All three of these guys already won awards this evening and they deserve to win this specific award. Pablo and Cole showed they offensive skills in attack while Zidane cemented teams defence. Congratulations ...
Cole Carter
To some maybe this was surprise but Cole showed why he is teams future. He was not only teams best points scorer, but he was best in assists too. In these both categories he was best not only in team but in whole league too.

Last award will go to Seasons MVP and nominees are:
Cole Carter
Gregory Goode
Tokkulu Lakamaa
Pablo Salvatici
Jean-Locke Zidane

No doubt all these five players have deserved this award. All have showed their leader abilities on and off the ice. As you all saw all five have been great in their own aspect of this game. They all helped Armada go thru season to the finals again. But only one of these five great players will get this award. I think we all agree that he was great last season, he showed his leader skills, helped grow his line partners, he was voted all leagues MVP. Congratulations, thank you for your career in Anchorage, and good luck in your new home Atlanta.

Pablo Salvatici
Team mates will miss you. Atlanta got some great player, great team mate. He played in another level.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With little bit emotions Anchorage Armada season 59 award ceremony has ended. Congratulations to all winners, congratulations to all nominees. Thank you for the great season 59. Keep working hard to return that trophy back to Anchorage. Fans will be always behind you.

Award ceremony host Jennifer Spears
