Blunt Man started his career in the same place he had wanted to start it, Carolina. The Kraken had connections to Blunt Man's agent through at that time former player Ravyn Tedisko (RIP), Blunt Man didn't get off to the hot start he wanted notching just eight games and going Four Wins, 3 Losses, and No Overtime Losses on the year. Sitting behind Kraken Legend Frans Eller he was able to just learn the speed and talent of the Simulation Major Junior Hockey League. He didn't have to come in and play immediately as a workhorse and I think this benefitted his growth substantially. He would be the back-up for the Champion Kraken but he wanted more. Having his name on the Four Star Cup without it being in the starter spot wasn't going to work for him and so he decided to take everything he had learned from Eller and the coaching staff and dedicate it all to winning another one for the Carolina Kraken.

In Season fifty five the Kraken lost star goalie Frans Eller to a call up after the Wolfpack had their goalie decide he didn't wan't to play for them anymore. So it was time. Blunt Man came out firing absolutely shattering the season Frans Eller his idol had just one season ago. He notched Twenty Six Wins, Ten Losses, and 1 Overtime Loss as his team finished second in the regular season behind only the eventual champion Newfoundland Berserkers. Blunt Man notched a 1.99 GAA and .920 Save percentage both 2nd only to Matt Lewis Smith in Carolina Kraken/Montreal Militia history. He also knocket out 6 shut outs during the regular season. This was it, Blunt Man had taken over in his second season and he wasn't letting go of that starter spot even though his teammate and good friend Ragnar-Alexandre Ragnarsson-Trembley had put up some equally good numbers as a rookie (being fed the easy wins lol) Blunt Man had made his case clear, he didn't mind the extra rest but the crease was his come playoff time. That time didn't take long to come either it felt like as the playoffs were soon upon them. Somehow Blunt Man got better in the playoffs blazing his way to a .927 save percentage in his 11 games played. First up was the Vancouver Whalers, They made short work of the Whalers winning Seven to one, five to one, five to three, and three to two to complete the sweep. Next up was the dangerous and feared by most Newfoundland Berserkers. Blunt Man was not one to be afraid of them as he had beat them plenty of times already so why not do it again. Everyone was giving him crap about it and said that he should be afraid of the deadliest team in the J. So he went out and did what he does. Getting the win in shutout fashion four to zero. Carolina would then hold on to win the arms race in game two by a final score of seven to five. The Berserkers would claim the next two games and home ice advantage winning four to one and four to three respectively. After a hard fought goalie battle it was again Blunt Man who folded in game five as the Berserkers win that one by a final score of two to one. Game six the Kraken rallied behind a huge speech by Blunt Man who bascially made it clear that they would have to win it on their own ice because they were not skating the cup around on the Kraken's home ice. This speech seemed to work as the Kraken went on to curb stomp the Berserkers for the second time this series by a final score of six to three. So there they were. Game 7 of the conference finals and Blunt Man stood on his head, the Defense was amazing but unfortunately a generational talent was in net on the other end of the ice and the Kraken would fall by a final score of two to zero. This was devastating to Blunt Man who wanted so hard to follow in Eller's footsteps and to miss it by so little still leaves "what if" questions to this day.
