S61 PT#3: Locker Rooms

The Buffalo Stampede gets to redo their locker room for the first time in a few years. First, it would include all the recent trophy they received along with the retired jersey the general managers finally decided to announce after a few years of saying 'it's coming, just be patient'. Second, there would be a really nice taco bar that wouldn't only be open on tuesday. Every day of the week is now Tuesday Tacos for the Buffalo Stampede players. I would also want to add a very nice personalized arcade machine for each of the players, so they can play their favorite game whenever they want. Or maybe having a kind of ludotheque to rent games and enough game consoles to please everyone. I would top the facility with a spa on the roof, cause it's amazing to watch the town from up there. As for the opponent locker room? Bland, dark room. Nothing more.

Baltimore's locker room is reflective of a close, tight knitted group. Previously I had come from Manhattan where the locker room was very active and filled with friends, players and alumni. It was very much a message a minute. Baltimore is a locker room that is slower but just as tight as locker rooms I've been in recently. This is a place filled with long time players and friends. Everyone gets along very well, you can always find someone willing to talk about SHL or life, maybe play a video game or just chat. We also get really excited for every sim. It helps that we are one of the best teams in the league this season but everyone gets excited for every goal, every assist and every point a player produces. Baltimore feels less like a locker room and more like a family. You just absolutely love to see it.

I’m answering for prompt number 1, designing the new dressing room.
First off we need to get a few things out of the way. We’ve got rubber flooring throughout. A gym and tub area with cold and hot tubs, full gym for workouts and cool downs after the game or practice. Every player has their own stall which is fairly sizeable and allows all the equipment to fully dry. Each stall has an iPad loaded with information and videos on the opposition, including footage for visual references. Fresh towels are provided throughout the day and there are professional massage therapists ready to work on the players if there is a want /need. Now the opposition locker room some others may have taken a chance to make it really shitty. Karl doesn’t understand that logic at all. Rather, give them an amazing experience. Make it so they want to come back and play here. The rooms should be big and comfortable. Don’t worry about sabotaging the opposition, if you have to rely on that to win then the win isn’t worth the score sheet it’s written on. ![]() Buffalo Stampede LEEOUT
hello and welcome to the memoirs of luffy d luffington and I am here to write about the task two which is going into a deep dive in the wonderful world of the best shl locker room and that is of the buffalo stampede. Here in the locker room we bleed and green and gold on a regular basis and everyone is always spamming the dead locker room meme even after a second of inactivity because everyone thinks the best locker room in the world is somehow dead. Sure when you take a quick 3 minute shower and come back to 754 messages, we are dead alright. The vast majority of people here in buffalo will tell you that there is nothing better in their life then sitting on discord all day talking to the boys and girls of the green and gold. Nothing ever gets left out and details are spilled throughout the entire day.

I will be responding to prompt number one.
Honestly, a locker room is a locker room is a locker room - Gertrude Stein TM. If you’ve seen one, then you’ve them all. Obviously, our locker room cannot be a complete nightmare. What do I mean by complete nightmare? Well, it can’t be: too small, too smelly, filled with mold, occupied by weird rink squatters, occupied by weird refs, etc. As far as amenities go, however, it is best to keep it simple. Ample space for the entire team, with shelf and cubby space to accommodate clothing, valuables, and gear. Clean showers are a given; I’ve seen some hellish showers in my lifetime. Luxury amenities - steam room, workout area, sleep pods - are simply superfluous. It’s just a place to get changed, dude. Nothing more, nothing less. Do I have any diabolical plans for the opposing team’s locker room? Nope. Kill them with kindness, that’s my motto. They get what we get - an ample, clean facility. ![]() ![]() Registered S27, S29, S32, S40, S42 Challenge Cup Champion & Parm King
The Calgary Dragons locker room at The BIG Parm is already pretty great but I have some ideas on how we could improve it. First of all I'd set the air conditioning at 62 degrees and lock the thermostat so nobody could change it. I tend to run hot so I need it to be ice cold in there and Barry Batsbak is always trying to turn it off cuz he weighs like 170 pounds. Next thing I would do is move the pre-game buffet table right into the middle of the locker room so I could eat constantly right up to when we go out on the ice. I need as much nourishment as I can get before games. As for the bathrooms I would install bidets because I tried that once in a hotel and while it was a weird sensation and I didn't really like it I've never been so clean and refreshed post-dump in my life. As for the visiting locker room I would crank the heat up and break the thermostat so they had to sweat it out at like 80 degrees in there. I'd also only put one small garbage can in the middle of the locker room and would only have two toilets in the bathroom and I'd replace the urinals with one of those piss troughs because those are just nasty. The visiting team has to feel like they are coming into a hostile environment and they should not be comfortable.

In the barracuda locker room many people do many things and have many positive effects on the team overall like zultan who commonly uses his staff to smite those that disagree with him ortrella who carries the toll with him at all times just in case we need to pop the hammer yeah I'm saying then there's premiere romanov who just casually walks by glances and says no fuck that then Dwight you know that guy hes just fucking dumb And tells people they have bad hair it's things like this that keep us a tight knit group and never let us stray too far from our ultimate goal which is fucking the the league it's honestly the only aspiration we have as an organization and I hope to God we can do it this year because you will be loving that media Now it's time to say let's go barracuda it's that time a year where we come strong fuck the penalties

I like the continuation of the PTs from the last one. I am writing Prompt 1.
With the sudden influx of number twos into the locker room (from both teams I might add) the locker room washroom facilities have begun to be a bit of a bottleneck. Players have begun to miss shifts on the ice because of the constant lineups and the time it takes to get all the gear back on. To help combat the sudden influx of bathroom breaks, the locker room has now been outfitted with individual stalls that can be accessed behind each player’s equipment stall. This way, the removal of gear and defecation can happen within the same space, and everyone will have a private stall for their in-game defecations. While this has somewhat lowered made the smells of the locker room to become somewhat fouler, even through the revamped ventilation system, at least the flow players to and from the locker room matches the upgraded flow of the sewage pumping out of the locker room. ![]() ![]() ![]() SMJHL GM Senior Member
Prompt 2
In the Maine Lockeroom it is always nice to see the silly group of guys in the room just giving expect when Randy Marsh thinks he is the hulk and could take on anyone even tho Big Newff the tiny winger could take him down with one right hook, as everyone waits for the real matchup when they get called up the rest of the team from all over the world try and make sure they all will be able to attend the boxing match between the Maine Captian and his alternate, while not only is there a friendly presence in the locker room but it is a second family for most of the talented rookies even though we have lost some young tress on there way to glory through different reasons but the best one had to be when one guy began to call everyone else out when they were helping him and trying to make sure he understood that there was a mistake and issue but then he couldn’t accept he was right so the Maine locker room stuck together and tried to help as they were being torn down. ![]() ![]() ![]() GP | 9 G | 35 A | 44 P | 8 | 19 PPP | 135 H | 86 BS GP | 16 G | 20 A | 36 P | 6 | 18 PPP | 116 H | 87 BS | 12 GP | 0 G | 8 A | 8 P | -1 | 1 PPP | 12 H | 26 BS |7 GP | 2 G | 4 A | 6 P | 4 | 1 PPP | 25 H | 8 BS GP | 2 G | 3 A | 5 P | -8 | 3 PPP | 17 H | 18 BS | 5 GP | 1 G | 4 A | 5 P | +4 | 0 PPP | 4 H | 4 BS GP | 58 G | 135 A | 193 P | +38 | 75 PPP | 439 H | 329 BS ![]() ![]() Round 2 Game 5 ll [pbl]Outlaws Regular Season Record S64 Round One Lose 5 Games ll ![]() ![]() 66 GP | 19 G | 23 A | 42 P | +6 | 4 PPP | 18 H | 128 BS 66 GP | 27 G | 25 A | 52 P | +16 | 6 PPP | 355 H | 118 BS 66 GP | 21 G | 25 A | 46 P | +20 | 2 PPP | 104 H | 73 BS ![]() ![]() Registered Probably shouldn't be a GM
With his given up childhood dream of being an architect.. Wait.. that was this kid's dream..? Anyway, Hutton decided to do prompt number one, and help with the development of the new locker rooms for the Specters arena. He hasn't really been known to go over the top with anything, but he would make a far more modernized and updated room than what was there from years ago. With the budget.. he opts to go with ebony wood which would end up going pretty well with the general colour palette the team would be going for. As a player, maybe a lazy one, he definitely goes all in with comfort. Nice, cushioned seats, TV's, snack bars, all nice, new, and shiny. With the extra money he pushes for an overhaul in the other facilities as well, but the GM actually just ended up pocketing the rest of the cash. Hutton plans to use that against him for his next contract.

Answering for prompt 2. Although I recently stepped down from coGM of NL, I still obviously spend far too much time in the LR that got me hooked on the league and is the main reason I stayed active. My favorite times are probably the various games that we've gotten a huge groups together for throughout the years. It started with our skribb games, where we got to witness Andrei's surprisingly immaculate laptop drawings, as well as ham's complete inability to draw anything that resembled anything close to yoshi. From there we got hooked on various trend games (as well as some longer standing ones) such as; dozens of consecutive losses in hax-a-gone in fall guys, Ty raging at me for counting to 10 too fast in among us, modded stardew with unlimited multiplayer while burd loses all our money continuously dying in the mines, a certain gold DPS justice carrying us in overwatch, and of course too many league games considering one game is too many.

The revamped Seattle dressing room would have a number of modern amenities. Attached to the locker room would be a state of the art training facility where the team would have access to the best equipment and injury rehabilitation that money can buy. As well, there would be a "mini-rink" available for doing everything for working with the team's goalies or allowing a small group of skaters to work on close quarters skill development on demand. The dressing room itself would be redesigned to be an open concept, circular room with spacious stalls, an incredible sound system, and multiple projector screens that would allow the coaches to play video clips on demand in between periods or before games. Attached to the dressing room itself would also be a large and open lounge area with a kitchen, entertainment centre, and a storage area for team apparel. Finally, there would be on-site daycare for players with children.
