S61 mPT #4- Heroes

Robert Phelps was no doubt someone Aaron Wilson looked up to early in his career and he was fortunate enough to play on a line centered by Phelps for a few seasons, I think Teddy actually assisted on my first career goal.

Growing up, Colin Lambert was very inspired by retired Steelhawks bust, Franklin Trey. He feels some kind of connection with him... like they were connected by something. That all changed when he met Trey in a grocery store and he was a total dick to the cashier and stole like 15 milky ways.

Jamie Campagiorni was the player who I initially modelled by build after with my first player. Campagiorni was the first ever rookie of the year in the SHL, and his overall two-way game was something I tried to emulate.

Coming back to the league and falling in love with FHM and the new environment was a lot of fun. I wanted Klompus to be exactly like Timonen and spent a lot of time in NL trying to make that happen.

Both in character and out I really looked up to guys like Mike Izzy, Katth, and Fuzz. There is a pretty wild alternate timeline to consider in there somewhere.

This is an easy one. When I was in WKP or well BAP when it was still WKP, we traded for Joe McKeil. Joe was an animal, not only did we trade for Joe but we also brought in Ivo who was an animal. Those two were scoring beasts who I modeled my player after to some success.

Pavel Jeziak looks up to his father, the former Montreal Militia and West Kendall Platoon player Travis Jeziak, who played 400 games in the SHL as a gritty two-way forward, capping off his career with a cup win in season 41.

I came in the league knowing nothing and nobody. So I just really want to have a Hall Of Fame worthy career. On my own terms. I have never been the person to want to be like someone else. I want to be the first Giannis instead of the second X.

When I joined the league I was luckily drafted to this beautiful place called the Carolina Kraken in S53. This star studded team had just recently won a four star cup with some absolute stunners, Tom Fiddler, Joseph Weston, Michael Fitted, shit I could keep going for a while. But, the current team also had some wonderful faces, Frans Eller, Jimmy Wagner, and some new rookies along side me. I looked up to a lot of the guys in my class on the team. They were top earners, and kicked ass. Shout out Dwight Knight and Vítek Víteček for being straight ballers.

For me, it was always about becoming the best defensive player that I could. Because of that, I always looked up to Tor Tuck @ErM and Tommy Tuck @Muford. Like, legitimately, I looked up to those guys to try to model my game after. Their ability to change the way the game was played was generational and while I will never hit the level they achieved, they were always someone I was striving to be like.

Back when I first joined the site in S30 I checked to see if there were any german players who were sitting quite hi on the all time points list and I actually found 3 of these: David Winter, Chris McZehrl as well as Joe McKeil so I modeled my first player after them

I was lucky enough to have Jason Visser as my role model when I made the jump from SMJHL to SHL. He wasn't a role model for my game on the ice because I played a very different game, but he was a hero off the ice to me. He was a super star to everyone across the league, but to me, he was the vet that encouraged me at the milestones I hit as a new first-gen skater.

As someone who's never actually watched hockey in real life, building my player was somewhat difficult initially. I tried to instead put it in terms I understood - I just wanted to create a grinder-type player who sacrificed his own individual stats and accomplishments to help the team. I didn't really look up to a particular SHL or SMJHL player. (59 words)

This time around I wanted to emulate my career after the one and only, the greatest goat of all time, Cameron "Michael Jodan" Carter II. He is quite simply put the greatest player to ever touch the ice and I want to follow in his footsteps and get many Dar noms like he did.
