The New Orleans Specters are a team in the SHL who were founded in S46 by JKortesi81, who is a classic user in this league who is well respected. Kortesi is still their GM even now actually, which provides the team with an incredible stability that is needed to succeed. Their overall regular season record after S56 was 327-174-49 which is a fantastic record for a recent-ish expansion team. The team also managed to win their first championship in S54 which was a great success for them.

Given the record, it shows their success for sure and they were able to get into the playoffs fairly regularly. Interestingly, they managed to get into the playoffs right away in their first season and basically almost every year of their early history.

They already list one hall of fame player on their team which is the Left Winger Oisin Fletcher, who had a legendary career for the team.

There have been quite a few awards for the team as well. They have won the Cole Reinhart Trophy once, the Presidents Trophy once as well. They won the GM of the year award once as well. Aleister Cain won the Mike Honcho trophy. DeMaricus Smyth won the Ron Mexico award that awards the MVP title, as well as the Sarmad Khan (the MVP voted on by the users). He also won the Sergei Karpotsov trophy and the Jay McDonald trophy that same year. Blastmeaway won the Damian Little Trophy. And finally Piotr Czerkawski won the Jay McDonald trophy twice for them.

Notable first round picks for the team are Jimmy Slothface, Charlie Serpe, Lyle Odelein III, Mitchell Van Der Heijden, Olli Saarinen Jr., Erben Kasius, Bork Lazer, Connor Hutton, Vladislav Malik, Jon St. Ark, Cian McFelter and Robert Feltersnatch.

Nicholas Williams looks like the NOLA career points leader, or at least was after S56 which is the last time the team history page was updated. Jimmy Slothface might have given him a run for his money though, as he was catching up very quickly with some awesome seasons, similarly to Lil Manius who was also doing a great job.

Former first round pick Vlatislav Malik was the Specter that scored the most points for them this season at 59, followed by Xavier Doom at 50.

Sadly, New Orleans is far from their best time in the league and their all time record might be worse now. This season they were in 17th place out of 20 teams with just 26 wins in 66 games, a rough season for a once proud franchise. That being said, this was a step up from last season already, where the team was in dead last place with only 14 wins, which must have been a very rough season for them. Hopefully that is a sign of a process and the team can return to their once known glory. Improving by 12 wins in a season is a good step and maybe they can take further steps forward in the future.

I would love to see this team back in the playoffs and maybe winning a title again in the future. Best of luck to them!
