For the second Front Office Award, we go to the Joe McKeil, awarded to the top coaches of the season! Our nominees are:
Hamilton Steelhawks The Steelhawks had yet another stellar season, winning the season by 15 points, and having a number of stand out seasons by their players, including MVP nominee Aaron Wilson. Calgary Dragons The Dragons tied for their division lead, really outperforming their TPE levels to have a stellar season. They also got some standout seasons from Joseph Weston, and goalie Cale Amundson. Texas Renegades Tied for second in the league with 100 points, Texas won the Western Conference, and coaxed some breakout seasons from Burlock Sulfergold and Edward Williams. Your winner is…. Now on to the Bojo Biscuit, given to the best defensive defenseman as decided by the committee. Your nominees for this award are:
Adam Barron Barron was an all-around leader for the Stars, driving play with great possession numbers, positive shot and goal differentials, a 1.45 TK/GA ratio, and solid hit and block numbers. Truly a stalwart on the blue line! Alex Petrenko Petrenko was once again a defensive presence for the Pride. Also with solid block and hit numbers, Petrenko played almost 2 mins per night shorthanded, and was 4th in the league with a crazy 2.09 TK/GA ratio. Kaspars Claude Claude was an all-around player for the Wolfpack, with solid possession numbers, a positive GA/TK ratio, and a very clean game, with almost 13 hits for every PIM amassed. With that, we are on to the Jeff Dar – awarded to the best two way forward, as decided by the committee. This is an abstract award, with many different factors affecting the different voters on the committee. Your nominees are:
Edward Williams Williams broke out in a big way, scoring 68 points, to go along with almost two minutes a game shorthanded, a positive TK/GA ratio, and 125 hits. Henrik Lekberg Osterman A stalwart in this award, HLO earned yet another nomination this season, after another stellar year. Also scoring 68 points, HLO further put up 42 takeaways, with a 1.3 TK/GA ratio, and 120 hits. Reid Sutherland Also with a bit of a breakout season, Sutherland scored 70 points, with 101 shot blocks, and a 1.16 TK/GA. With that, we are on to the Ryan Jesster award, for Rookie of the Year! Your nominees are:
Nike Kikz Jr. Second overall in rookie scoring with 39 points, Kikz put up 40 hits and 38 blocks, along with a decent TK/GA ratio for a rookie. Noel Blanchet One of the only rookie forwards with positive possession numbers, Blanchet finished with tied for 3rd with 38 points, but with an impressive 85 hits, and a great goal and shot differential. Kermit Murphy With an impressive season, Murphy tied for 8th in rookie scoring with 34 points, 6 back of the lead, as a defender. Murphy logged top pairing minutes as a rookie, and still had positive possession numbers, along with over 100 hits, and 63 blocks. Your winner is….
