This is an awesome song you could listen to whlie working out at the gym. Very uplifting and very good with what they do hope you enjoy. You make me feel invincible Earthquake, powerful Just like a tidal wave You make me brave You're my titanium Fight song, raising up Like a roar of victory in a stadium Who can touch me 'cause I'm (I'm made of fire) Who can stop me tonight (I'm hard wired) You make me feel invincible

if two of your three members are in the band i dont care if you call it box car racer its still blink-182
Anyone that has been to a large event or wedding with me knows my jam.
"It's gonna take the lot to drag me away from you
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do"
Africa by Toto is my anthem and I am always ready to throw down with my terrible singing voice.
There are so many songs that are so enjoyable and have catchy lyrics that it is really hard to pick just one, or just one band. Can we just say in general, outside of U2 music is pretty great?
this line is from the hit 2022 song pushin p. young thug said this because he just fucked a cup of water. this speaks to me because I enjoy drinking water.
This is tough for me.. I am going to go with old (well sorta old lol) and new.
Fall Out Boy - Sugar We're Goin Down
Am I more than you bargained for yet?
I've been dying to tell you
Anything you wanna hear
'Cause that's just who I am this week
Lie in the grass next to the mausoleum
I'm just a notch in your bedpost, but you're just a line in a song
That last line is just a hit!
Jordan Davis Ft. Luke Bryan - Buy Dirt
Buy dirt
Find the one you can't live without
Get a ring, let your knee hit the ground
Do what you love but call it work
And throw a little money in the plate at church
Send your prayers up and your roots down deep
Add a few limbs to your family tree
And watch their pencil marks
And the grass in the yard all grow up"
'Cause the truth about it is
It all goes by real quick
You can't buy happiness
But you can buy dirt
Just great feels in this whole song

We can't make it creepy so I won't say Bruce Springsteen his lyrics from I'm on fire.
But I will go for At the drive-in's track Napoleon Solo. They wrote this after they got a phone call before one of their concerts that friends on the way to the concert had a deadly accident:
Cut and paste
Were you sitting down
On the beaded impotence of New Orleans
A hint of suspense when that telephone rings
This is forever
It paved a wave of distance
Between a syntax error
From Austin's yellow brick road
This is forever
From this Texas breath
Exhaled no sign of relief
This you know, this you know this is forever
March 23rd hushed the wind the music died
If you can't get the best of us now
It's because this forever
Makes no difference our alphabet
Is missing letters
17 embalmed and caskets lowered
Into the weather
A drizzle brisk and profound
From this Texas breath
Exhaled no sign of relief
This is forever
We're struck by the chords from their hearts
This is forever this is forever
From this Texas breath
Exhaled no sign of relief
You know that this is forever

I'm gonna give a quick rundown (as inspired by the supplied lyrics) of my favourite all-time Pitbull lyrics. I am a qualified fan, in my opinion as I own a hand-made gift feauturing Pitbull lyrics ("Reach for the stars, and if you don't grab em at least your on top of the world" which is followed up by an equally classic "think about it, cause if you slip I'm gonna fall on top of your girl, aha") as well as a "Live Laugh Love" Pitbull tapestry.

She don't wrestle but I got her in a headlock Yabba-dabba-doo maker her bed rock, miami on fire, red hot

You know me I'm off in the cut
Always like a squirrel, lookin for a nut

She's a queen that lives like a king
Drinking, smoking, licking, sucking, fucking
First name sofa, last name King Good
She's so so so so fucking good

Now mathematically this doesn't make sense but in this scenario one plus one equals three...
... back it up and drop it low
Tap that like a bongo
(double whammy of lyrics there)

I don't beleive in religion but I believe in God, and baby...
He just produces banger after banger, despite the fact he is a consistent womanizer despite having a wife, and his past use of slurs. But he's Pitbull, Armando Christian Perez, from the 305 in Florida, Dayton County, he can get away with it. Even though when in Timber I do always pause when he says "Slicker than an oil spill, she say she wont but I bet she will (timber)" cause that just rubs a fella the wrong way with the undertones. But yeah, those are my favourite lines.
Your task: What are some of your favorite song lyrics? Could be current favorite or all time, leave some lyrics here and a blurb about why you like them or what they mean to you. Try not to make them creepy and/or by U2.
"T-tell your boyfriend if he says he's got beef
That I'm a vegetarian and I ain't fucking scared of him"
It is a classic line from 3Oh!3's song Don't Trust Me. Beautiful lyrics, filled with teen angst and edge. Nothing beats something like that.

Thank you Fever, sköldpaddor and OD for the amazing sigs!

All my life, I've always been someone that listens to music in spite of lyrics and never because of them. I'd get annoyed if they were particularly stupid, sure, but I wouldn't have a song elevated in my mind just because of what the singer is saying.
Thinking back on songs that I can pick out in my memory as ones where I actually paid attention to the lyrics, I'd choose "Strange Ways" by Madvillain as one that I remember fondly. A lot of DOOM's lyric work was about flow and almost trickery, but I remember the message of Strange Ways hitting its mark with me.
