Nirvana's dumb is my favourite song. The break in the chorus is particularly beautiful to me.

Karl just really loves the lyrical masterpiece that is known to the masses as "WAP". It is full of metaphors and hidden meanings that only start to become clear after several thousand listens.
For example, the following lines have many different meanings, depending on the listeners perspective:
"There's some whores in this house" can mean that you need to be wary of people who are close to you. Guard your secrets closely.
"I said certified freak, seven days a week" Is a call out to the mental health epidemic. It shows that even famous people deal with mental struggles and being public and open about it is really enlightening, helping break down walls that we as a society have built up. Brave woman.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah" means 'yes'
"Bring a bucket and a mop for this wet ass pussy" Talks about the importance of always being prepared. You never know when you might encounter a drowning cat and by being prepared for it you can save the day. It's an odd example on purpose to drive home the point of be prepared for anything.
"Swipe your nose like a credit card" This one is a throwback to one of my favorite shows. In 'Scrubs' whenever Dr. Cox would get in a ranting mood at JD, he'd swipe his nose and cross his arms. This is saying to stand up to authority. Question their actions, because they may not have been questioned yet. You know it's a throwback because no one swipes credit cards anymore, so it is telling you to look for the reference at a time that was common practice.
"Extra large and extra hard" This is simple, just talks about the importance of working out. A tie in to the mental health call out earlier, physical health is on the same line.

My absolute favorite song of all time is Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

It was one that always talked to me a ton but since my mom passed away last year it has become even more sentimental to me.
A lot of good picks so far, but some lyrics that have always stuck with me is from Semisonic's "Closing Time". One of the lines goes, "you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here." I think I say that line out loud a few times a week.
