S64 PT #1: All or Nothing

PLAYER PROMPT
Brick Wall isn't one to bask in the limelight, per se, but he's not as camera shy as many would assume. While his time in Great Falls, Montana has given him the perk of naturally avoiding much publicity due to the small population, he still has picked up a few tricks for dodging media when he's out on the town. Believe it or not, a simple set of glasses and baseball cap is usually all it takes. Hide the eyes and hair, and most people aren't going to be able to tell you apart from their average Joe neighbor. Another trick? Avoid outdoor seating at restaurants when possible, and opt for a corner booth. The closer you stay to the walls, the less people are looking your way. And when all else fails? Just give the most absolutely boring, milquetoast answers possible. The paparazzi eventually get board and go and pester the "cooler" players. That being said, Brick is going to need to learn some more advanced strategies, as there are definitely more eyes on him in downtown Montreal than in the entire state of Montana.

Task 2

Jaska Seppala of the Buffalo Stampede has never shined away from the spot light. He absolutely loves when the cameras are on him because the more exposure he gets from the cameras the more opportunities he has of getting brand deals and making money. It is not hard for Jaska Seppala to get the camera to point at him with how charming he is. Just one wink and the camera is right on him. Some of the other things that Jaska Seppala can do to get the camera on him would be playing pranks on his teammates. Whenever Jaska Seppala's teammates are getting interviewed. Expect Jaska Seppala to be there to put the camera on him. This one time Steve Harrington was talking about his charity or some boring thing to the camera and Jaska Seppala threw a cream pie right at him. Steve loves Jaska's cream pies so that a good time

Mrs. McSaves loves the limelight. Anything that gives her the opportunity to share her thoughts about basic human rights, give inspiration to fans, and bring the experience of being in the SHL to light for fans gets Mrs. McSaves hype.

Have you heard about the epic rap battles happening in the Detroit locker room? If you haven’t you’re in for a treat. The team was looking for another way to create some chemistry for the team, and to make the locker room another positive environment.

The raps include roasting the GMs, each other, and cleverly timed inside jokes. If you are looking for another way to connect to the team, getting your hands on one of these exclusive tracks is the best way to get to know the players you know and love.

Mrs. McSaves is about to share one of these live. Is she nervous? Of course. But is she ready? Absolutely.

The Winnipeg Aurora are absolutely the Young Guns, the new popular team everyone should be talking about. What makes us different from every team in the league? We have some of the best draftees in the league, and next season, a lot of them will be on the main roster. We are talking a full youth movement into the stratosphere. Seasons after seasons of improvement. We have a dynamic and cohesive locker room, a strong game plan, and a lot of fun.

Sure, I've had to put my aspirations of being a Apex Legends stream on hold for now, but considering the caliber of team I'm on, I dont see a downside.

Plus, if you focus east coast as well, Montreal will be working in the same direction soon, and will likely be the Aurora's main rival, which can make for some VERY entertaining Canadian sports TV if I do so say myself, and I just did.

Hockey Prompt - Written Task

AJ Williams enters his second season with the Newfoundland Berserkers after coming off a Four Star Cup in S63. The Berserkers are off to a hot start with a 17-0-0 record and don’t look to slow down. Most of the talented players from the Cup winning team have returned this season and pose a huge threat to the rest of the league.

There are many players to look at like S63 Playoff MVP Emeril Lagasse who currently leads the Zerks in points. Captain Mikko Rashford also returns to Newfoundland after his Defensive Player of the Season in S63. But an almost surprise star this season for the Zerks would be AJ Williams who leads his team and the league in goals with 11 in 17 games. Williams is at the 350 second season TPE cap, but the way he plays, you would think he’s a veteran to the SMJHL. Williams is on pace to smash his S63 stats, having 18 goals and 30 points last season in 66 games. Williams currently has 11 goals and 17 points in 17 games and looks to continue his dominance while playing on the third line and averaging only 15 minutes a game. Williams recently got drafted to the Toronto North Stars who look to develop the sniper into a top goal scorer in the SHL. Williams is excited to move up to the big leagues but for the time being has his eyes set on winning another Four Star Cup with the Berserkers.

Christian Kinsinger doesn't mind the camera. He's a pretty big fan of it, just not necessarily in his job sense. Kinsinger doesn't really want to get the media rolling cameras around, or take part in hockey related videos. He does however love doing podcasts in place. Talking hockey just on the microphone is something Kinsinger loves to do, but he just doesn't want to do that same thing with the camera on. A much more relaxed and chill podcast setting is easier to deal with and stay focused on the conversation when there's not the lights and cameras to deal with. Kinsinger isn't afraid of the camera in a personal setting, as he occasionally streams on his personal Twitch channel in his free time. Once again the more relaxed setting of just playing some video games on Twitch it's easy to deal with the camera because it's not job related and the streamer is fully in control.

Colin Lambert doesn’t mind being on camera at all. The problem, however, is that the camera always finds him at the most inopportune times. Colin prefers to experience the gentle breeze of the Tampa Bay locker room in the nude, and always seems to be caught on camera without any clothes. Every behind-the-scenes video Tampa put on their social media has Lambert totally blurred out. This is especially unfortunate for the fans, because they don’t get to see the small, Total Recall-esque baby that grows on the side of Lambert’s chest. Maybe one day when his career is over, the fans will officially get to meet the baby that Colin has named “Umberto”. For now, Umberto hides in the shadows, plotting his rise to stardom after Colin’s retirement. He’s already got a tiny pair of overalls picked out that he’s going to wear. Maybe hold a little pitchfork as well. He’s a big fan of Grant Wood’s famous painting “American Gothic”.

Hockey Prompt:

Coming into Season 64 of the Simulation Hockey League, the Texas Renegades are once again aiming to go all the way to the top of the mountain and claim another Challenge Cup. After a disappointing exit in last season's playoffs to their archrivals in Chicago, the off-season saw big changes for the Renegades. Their long time general managers and coaching staff, which had led the team to two Challenge Cups, stepped down and new front office members were brought in. On the player front, the Renegades made a big splash to acquire superstar defender Ryosuke Sato from the Toronto North Stars, who is expected to immediately step in and anchor one of the best defenses in the league. The Renegades are an older team full of veterans players now, and while most may be on the downside of their careers, they are all out to prove that they still have what it takes to be the best team in the SHL.

Lyle has never been a flashy player or person.  He has never sought out the spotlight and has always felt more part of the team, rather than an individual.  So when he heard that the Spectrers would be followed by a camera crew for the season, he wasn't too sure what to expect.  He is the veteran of this team, the captain, he tries to lead by example but he also understands that this new batch of Specters are coming into their own and he won't be the one to take them to their pinnacle.  So, he decided to take a back seat during the filming of the show.  It is the young guns time to shine, both on and off the ice.  You will see Lyle's pre game speeches, his intermission pump up talks and his post game reactions for the Specters wins and losses.  Until the day Lyle hangs up his skates, he will continue to try and bring his level headedness and knowledge of the game and the SHL to his Specters teammates, this is the Lyle you will see on camera, the same Lyle that has been a mainstay in New Orleans for the past 14 seasons.

PLAYER PROMPT

While Jonathon Hagan isn't one to seek the limelight, so to speak, he's not one to try and avoid it either. However, he's known as the team party animal, and so would certainly end up in the final cut with his large parties, experiences out on the town, and other escapades. It's also helped by the fact that he's cocky, and it shows in his behavior. His contribution to the final cut of such a show about the Montreal Patriotes would likely be something along the lines of: stories of his escapades with his teammates on the road, his massive benders out on the town, interviews spliced where he's talking about how good he is, and how he's a future superstar in the league, and then clips of him mic'd up at various games, chirping other players, coaches, the officials, and just about anyone in his sight,
