I LOVE traveling 1st class!! The seats were so big and the attendants came by three or four times an hour to ask if I wanted anything. I looked through my French phrase books, still relishing my success with ordering my coffee in Paris. But I knew that I wouldnt be able to just memorize phrases and get by in Quebec. I had called my new GM before I boarded the flight in Paris, just to let them know I was on my way and everything was okay. I told her that I was practicing French and she replied that was great to hear, she wanted me to be able to understand all of the cheers of the fans in the arena.
I started to feel drowsy though and I put my head against the seat when there she was again, an attendant. She gave me a pillow and a blanket, as I started to snuggle down, she pulled this little cover down over my seat. Oh wow! This is so cool!! I fell asleep and dreamed of playing in front of a packed arena and Ma and Da were there to see me for the first time in a Citadelles jersey, maybe it will happen, who knows? I woke to the attendant asking me if I would prefer steak or lobster for lunch. Steak? or Lobster?? I somehow said steak, I dont know why I did that. The steaks at home are okay, but most of the time they are so small and ...well...tough to eat. I sat there wishing I had chosen the lobster instead when she returned with a steak. WHAT WAS THIS???? It wasnt a steak, it was a side of beef! I had never seen a steak this big! Yea, I was in Colorado and New York, but remember that I was on a fixed budget and steak just wasnt on it. Here we are, steak, a huge salad, pureed potatoes, asparagus...everyone else was getting wine, I got some tea. But wow, this steak was HUGE! Somehow I was able to eat all of it. Then she asked me what I wanted for dessert, I couldnt eat one more bite. But then she said one of the choices was creme' brule...omg I love that! So I found room for that...and some coffee. She didnt tell me there were chocolates as well! These had to be Belgian, Belgian chocolate is the best! We finally landed in Quebec and I was whisked off of the plane, I guess that is an advantage of being a first class passenger. I got through customs and immigration and went to get my luggage where I saw a man standing there holding a sign that said "Mr Boudreaux". I walked up to him and he told me he was my driver. He would take care of my luggage. I sat on a bench and called Ma and Da. I was in Quebec and my driver was getting my luggage.... This is beyond cool! Defender St Louis Scarecrows: S78-
