If a player can pick up the puck on their stick behind their own blue line and carry it down the ice and score lacrosse-style, then their team should win the game, simples!

If a goalie is able to have possession of the puck for at least 5 seconds while positioned behind the opposing goalie the team with the puck instantly wins. This is balanced because it requires an insane amount of risk to get your goalie that far from the net.

If you play in Winnipeg and there is an aurora in the sky, the aurora automatically wins. If Winnipeg plays an away game and there is no Aurora, the Aurora also still wins.
Only in the event of no aurora the game needs to be played, in that event, if Montagne plays, the winnipeg aurora still auto win.

I'd add a big hoop about 10 meters up in the air in the middle of the rink, maybe hanging just under the jumbotron. Make it fairly small, maybe 30x30cm. If a player shoots the puck through that ring from their own side of the rink then that team wins the game.

My new and totally not copied from anywhere rule would be, that both teams can use an additional player whose whole job is to catch a golden puck that is slithering around the rink. Whoever can grab a hold of it, automatically gets 50 goals awarded to their team. I think this rule is very fair and doesn't undermine a teams overall hockey skill at all. 10 points to Nevada btw for the House Cup.

A team can now win a game if the goalie shoots the puck to the other net and hits the other goalie's water bottle and it lands a clean bottle flip. It probably won't ever happen

If the puck gets deflected into the camera hole, you automatically win the game, I think this is hard to do in and of itself. Would be funny seeing players whipping pucks against the glass. (35 words)

New rule to help me win? Errr....My team starts with a 5 goal lead! That way we can relax. Now we would still potentially lose games but honestly most teams aren't beating those odds in 7 games or a lot of the regular season.

Easy as fuck.

Just make it so a goalie goal is an instant win. It’s so rare for it to happen and so impressive that I would love to see that end a game.

In order to spice up overtime games in the regular season, shootouts will now start with each goaltender shooting against their counterpart. If one goalie scores and the other does not, the game is over.

My new rule for an instant win is if a team scores a goal without having a forward involved. The goal has to be scored by the defenceman AND assisted by the other defenceman AND the goalie. If a team can accomplish that, the game ends and they win instantly.

I don't know about instant win, but for pros, it should be pretty close to it. My rule is that for every time a player swears on the ice, the other team gets a penalty shot. Let's clean up this game and see some high scoring action at the same time.

If you can score a goal from behind your own goal line, it is an instant win. I like this rule because it gives teams a chance late in blow out games. It also would be hilarious to see teams desperately icing the puck trying to score late in games.

Person with the most sheep on the ice wins. I mean I just don't think anyone owns more sheep than Wendolene Ramsbottom, famous sheep herder. Give me all the wins.

It will be like harry potter. The game means nothing at all and you can get as many or as few points as you would like but if you catch the golden puck you win.
