Hello new players!

From the Trade Deadline to the posting of the first task completable for TPE, whether that be the Interested Prospects Threads, Early Bird PT, Mock Draft, etc., DFAs will be able to complete weekly DFA Bounties. These Bounties will function practically identically to PTs, but with money instead of TPE, and will be posted in this part of the forums. By writing 250 words or completing a graphic for a certain prompt, DFAs will earn $500,000 for their bank accounts, with a cap of 4 completed bounties ($2,000,000).

Since the trade deadline was last Monday, I am pleased to bring you the first S69 DFA Bounty:
Written Task: Only the best of the best make it into the SMJHL. Junior players from all over the world come to this league in the hopes of being drafted, becoming a successful SMJHL player and continuing that success in the SHL. But we all have a history too. What is your history? Where did you play? How did you do? How did your career look so far, and what aspects of your player in their pre-SMJHL career is going to make your player succeed? (250 word min.)

Graphic Task: Pictures say more than a thousand words. Show us a pic of the young you, playing hockey. Include your player name and a render of your younger self, and at least one statline.

Reward: $500,000

Only current SMJHL Draftable Free Agents (S71 SMJHL Draftees, SHL class of S72) are eligible for this bounty.

There is no need to claim this anywhere. After grading the money should pop up in your account 'automatically'.

Deadline: Sunday April 30th @ 11:59pm PST

Colt Fox is not from an area that anyone would call a hockey hotbed. However as a child he watched the Texas Renegades play with enthusiastic joy.  He looked up to players like Alexandre Daigle and Chris Partlow. Nonetheless he has slowly built himself  through the United States national team development program  Playing on the team's under-17 squad, he recorded 20  goals and  30 assists for 50  points in 54 regular season and tournament games. Additionally, he joined Team USA for 34 United States Hockey League (USHL) games, during which he added an additional seventeen assists. The following year, he was promoted to the NTDP's under-18 team, with whom he scored  eighteen goals and 32 points in 58 regular season and tournament games. After his time with the USNTDP's time he moved onto the Ontario Hockey league and played for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Where he won the Emms Family Award and Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy.

Austin Morley has had an unconventional path on his way to hopefully being drafted into the SMJHL. He has never played a minute of hockey at any level. The closest Morley got was being a bench warmer on his highschool lacrosse team. It took him well into his college years to really reach his athletic peak, where he tried several different sports at the collegiate level. He tried lacrosse again, football, soccer, and even tennis. Nothing gave him the true feeling of exhilaration that he yearned for. That was until just a few months ago when austin was invited to go ice skating with some people from work. He had never been before but was willing to give it a try. While there, he definitely had his work cut out for him. He fell countless times, but the challenge of doing something new and uncomfortable was full of the excitement he was looking for. Upon leaving the skating rink, Morley saw an advertisement for a community hockey league. He decided to give it a go and it became an instant obsession for him. In the community league, Morley gained a name for himself being one of the most relentless players on the ice at any time. His motto was “if you’re going to make a mistake, make it at 110%”, and boy did he make a lot of mistakes. The things that will make Austin Morley successful in his career are his relentless pursuit to be the best, his will to win, and his tenacious heart.
