The one thing that I could see making All-Star games a lot better is to take inspiration from one of the better All-Star weekends in recent years, the John Scott one, so to copy that, would result in the All-Star game including one or two players who probably shouldn't have made it, but did to provide entertainment.

It's very tough to figure out a "skills competition" for a league that relies on written words for player growth - but since we all have a bit of prose inside ourselves, I say we should put all the players that were selected to the All-Star game into an elimination bracket, and make them do rap battles for supremacy over their peers.

Maybe something like "WWE Style" schedeuled "grudge" matches of bitter rivals or players against their former clubs, basically any matches with added storylines that we might otherwise not see

A game with some real consequences. Obviously you don't want to injure the players, but maybe the winner gets home ice in the finals? I think that would spark the players to give a shit

I would love that there is a similar stuff to NBA in real life. Two best players get divided in two teams. They are the captains and they can choose from selected players a team. Like a draft. Pretty awesome in my honest opinion. Would be cool which player is a great GM too if they have to put in work their drafting skills.

I think the all-star game is a great idea for the pro leagues, but for a league that is community driven and that is really focused on making all users feel special, I think there needs to be more angles for as many active players to get their chance at an all star game. Maybe a like rookie vs sophmore game, a veteran game, a 3 on 3 tournament based on divisions and all that stuff to try and get as many people named to the all star game.

All Star games are always a bit of a crap shoot. Even in the real NHL, most people don't watch. One thing that could spice things up is to take the All Star nominees and then do a draft-style team pick 'em with GM nominees assembling the teams.

For myself to be interested in the All Star Game it would have to be played in a sport that is enjoyable so perhaps soccer/football or tennis or baseball. Not Ice Hockey or whatever it's called.

I think we should simulate steroid use and crank every single player up to 100 overall or whatever the max is in FHM, and we should just let them all loose on each other. One line could be a scoring line, one could be a grinding line and one could be a straight up goon line. Turn on injuries and let's see everyone beat the living daylights out of each other.

I think an interesting route would be to go a similar way to the NBA All-Star Game and have two Captains that draft their teams from the pool of All Stars. It would mix up teams, players would get the ability to play with players they never have the opportunity to in the current system, and would add a little spice to see who each Captain would prioritize or leave behind (which could lead to some fun Media pieces).

Perhaps select all-star GMs for the all-star game and have them pick teams from a pool of every all-star selected. Consider a 3v3 format similar to the NHL for faster paced hockey that is more exciting.
