S71 PT #0: Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me?

Prompt 1

Honestly I dont think the realization that he exists only in an online forum based simulation hockey league would bother Tenderloin that much. I mean he came from a dead hunk of meat anyway and was taught all the concepts he knows, so this next step probably wouldn't be all that world shattering for him in my opinion. At this point in his life he can barely understand the concepts of the game he plays for a living, let alone the concept of realities within realities. I think he'll be just fine with this turn of events and probably just shrug it off as something he doesn't need to worry about. He would continue to go about his day to day life with no changes whatsoever because thats just how Pork Tenderloin rolls around, generally unbothered by most things, and unable to comprehend the vast majority of things that happen to him. Thems the breaks.

Prompt 1:

Who the fuck cares if I, Brock Samson, am fictional. The important thing is that Frank Dux, as immortalized by Jean Claude Van Damme in 1988's Bloodsport, is based on a real person. I may be a fictitious entity crafted by a guy who doesn't super care but is helping out his wife, I may be named after a character in a TV show that dude legitimately loves and his amusement at making me obsessed with Bloodsport is really all he cares about with this, but I know that Frank Dux exists. Did he ever fight in a kumite? almost definitely not. Is he full of shit? Almost definitely yes. But does Jean Claude Van Damme kick major ass portraying Frank Dux in 1988's Bloodsport? Fuck yeah he does. And what could matter more than the film that brought Forest Whitaker into the public consciousness being fantastic? That's right, not a thing.

PROMPT 2

Jimmy Wagner logs on to the Dungeons and Dragons Hockey League to do his weekly tasks and is greeted with a humorous sight, a newly created player named Gym Wagoner with one Jimmy Wagner listed as his player likeness. He laughs to himself as he looks over the profile and nods as he goes down the list. The player is built like Wagner was back in his first years in Carolina, speedy but not much else going on. He posts a "Welcome" from his account - BlkCat72 and goes through his tasks.

Eventually, prompts answered and training bought, he sends a message off to his fake GM - "keep an eye on this one" he says over the integrated chat system, he might be on to something. Worst comes to worst it'll be good for a laugh. Jimmy closed the laptop and made a promise to himself to check in on Gym Wagoner next month as they start to develop.

PROMPT 2:

Collin Gibbles was as surprised as any that some fan would choose him to base their fictional hockey player on. It's not like Gibbles has had a HOF career outside of his longevity, so the choice to model a player after him seemed strange considering all of the other greats that they could choose from in the SHL. Still having seen this, Gibbles decided to go under-cover himself and make a player in the league to see what the whole thing was about. It was amusing at first to see how someone else would represent his play style and mindset on and off the ice in this fictional league. He had to be sure to mask his identity and he was sure once the regular season started again he would get exposed since his travel schedule would not leave a large amount of time to engage with the league. He would however find time to shitpost on the forums and maybe recruit one of his kids to join as well.

Prompt 1:

After learning that he's a fictional hockey player in a computer simulation, and learning all about the simulation itself, Mat Smith feels existentially bummed out. Not only are all his achievements, awards, and accomplishments, what he's given his blood, sweat, and tears for, not real, they also weren't really earned as he's also finding out how much his skill actually affects how he plays on the ice. When he was at the top of his game and felt the strongest between the pipes that he ever did, this wasn't a case of him being one of the best goalies in the world, or in this world, for a little while, it was random chance deciding that he was going to be unbelievable for a few seasons. The only thing that Smith does take solace in is the fact that all his teammates and former teammates are also real people who this person who created him is also friends with and talks with them every day.

Prompt two:

Nikolai was sitting at home in the off-season when he received a call from his agent, former SHL player Alexander Roach. “Hey Nikolai, did you know that there are some people impersonating you on an online forum?” Curious of what was going on, Nikolai opened up his laptop and went to check out this forum that his agent told him about. He quickly found the website, and took a quick look around. He quickly discovered that it was just a harmless role playing site where people spent a truly ridiculous amount of time pretending to be hockey players in a fake professional league. Finding it amusing, he sent a couple messages to the person who was using his image for the online forum to have a quick chat, but he was pretty chill about the whole thing. Nikolai ended up sending a couple of autographs to the guy who was pretending to be him, and got him into a Stampede game in the next season.

Tommi Koivu, the seasoned defenseman for the Hamilton Steelhawks in the Simulation Hockey League, was enjoying a quiet evening at home when an unexpected message popped up on his phone. It was a notification from a fan, congratulating him on an outstanding performance in a recent game. Confusion washed over Tommi as he had not played any games recently due to an injury. Curiosity turned to concern as he dug deeper into the fan's message. To his horror, he discovered that someone had stolen his identity and was pretending to be him on social media and online forums. His heart sank as he realized the imposter had been interacting with fans, sponsors, and even team management. Tommi's anger surged, fueling his determination to put an end to this deception. He contacted the league's officials and local authorities, providing them with evidence of the fraudulent activities. With their assistance, he unveiled the imposter's true identity, a disgruntled former teammate seeking revenge. As the imposter faced legal consequences, Tommi regained control over his online presence, working diligently to rebuild the trust of his fans and teammates. This experience only strengthened his resolve to protect his identity, both on and off the ice, ensuring that the true Tommi would never be overshadowed again.

My player reacts with mure unbridled exaltation. He’s shocked by the consequences and the implications that someone could be representing him, but then he comes up with a great idea. He’s going to join this online sim league and do what this nerd ass fan is doing, but beat him at his own game. He’s talking about getting professional photoshoots done for sigs. Getting someone to record a live interview with him in order to get media done. Getting the teams jersey people to get him legit jerseys made of the team and wearing it on the ice for practice for some real shots. Then giving his team full jerseys for his simulation team. Once he wins a trophy he’s going to get his whole team flown to the rink and get some championship photos made. Then he’s going to do it all over again as an anime character. Or he might just send the guy some photos or something.

Prompt 1:

It was a rainy thursday afternoon when Meta Knight was informed that he was a fictional being. It was one of the worst days in his fictional life. Not only was he a fictional being for a lame hockey site, but he was also a fictionalized version of a fictional character from a children's game. HE WAS DOUBLE FICTIONAL. Not even 1% real at all. Of course, this was the hardest news to take. He was less relevant than most of his teammates as not only was HE not real, but he wasn't even based off anything REAL. Just a stupid little ball with wings really. Basically a flying puck. How could he continue like this? There is really only one thing he could do... Continue training for the fictional hockey league, to one day become the fictional champion of fictional hockey, and be a fictional legend for his fictional hockey team, and maybe even be a fictional hall of famer in the fictional league.
