Cale really enjoys helping out the community and wants to help grow the sport so he does a lot of school talks and readings. He goes into classrooms around the city and reads to kids and answers questions about being a professional hockey player.

Sven Petterson has a foundation built around helping kids that do not have the means to get equipment, pay for ice time, skating lessons, etc. Growing the game in all communities is important to him - he doesn't want the cost to be a barrier to kids having an opportunity to learn and play this wonderful sport!
Any good Lutheran Christian strives to follow the core tenant of being charitable in a down to earth way. For August, he focuses on food banks. Not just donating money to help them keep going, but also donating non perishable foodstuffs.

Alvin Wong is very involved in the Yukon community. As the newly elected captain of the team, he has started several initiatives on and off the ice to help increase community engagement and awareness to certain issues that are dear to his heart. A few examples of his philanthropic endeavors are the Malamutes Rescue center that he has donated half of his earning to in order to provide a safe environment and home for abused, retired, or deemed at risk malamutes, helping them recover and find a new loving home. Also, he is a staunch supporter of "Firing Tanner into the Sun" initiative that co-GM @
BadWolf has started, he has encouraged all fans and even his own teammates to donate to the worthy cause.
