S71 PT#3: Hangups and Hangovers

Nibbles has never been one to party to hard no matter what the occasion is and the local club scene has never been a fun time for him because well he is a squirrel and gets stepped on a lot. So even though the team just beat their arch rival Nibbles would definitely be heading home early and while he would have celebrated with his teammates in the locker room that is where he would have ended it. He would have headed home and watched the game again to see what he could do better in the next one. He also would want to make sure his body is well rested and able to perform at the highest possible level for the next game. He does not care how his teammates celebrate the win because Nibbles knows that the only thing that he can control is how he himself prepares for the game and makes sure that he is at his peak for the team every time he steps on the ice.

Walt "Clyde" Frazier will show up at the club. You can believe that shit.

Walt will have already picked out a super fly outfit and have it pressed and ready to go after the game. After his shower he'll wash off the soap and brush the gold teeth. Use oil of Olay 'cause his skin gets pale, then he'll grab the file for his finger nails. He's true to the nightstyle on his behalf so he'll put the bubbles in the tub so he could take a bubble bath. Clean, dry, will be his body and hair, so he'll throw on his brand new Gucci underwear. For all the girls he might take home he's got the Johnson's Baby Powder and the Polo Cologne. Fresh dressed like a million bucks, he'll put on the Bally shoes and the fly green socks.

He'll step out the locker room, stop short ,oh no. He'll have to go back cause he forgot his kangol. Then he'll dilly dally , run back through the alley and bump into a girl named Sally from the Valley.

Well after a decent interval for him and Sally to get "reacquainted" they'll both hit the club and celebrate like bandits with his teammates until dawn

If we have a big win over out rivals, which if I'm playing for the Newfoundland Beserkers then that rival is the Maine Timber, there is no way I am missing out on the massive rager that is going to happen. I will be there first in line to get in even if I haven't had time to take off my jersey from the game. That might be the cheapest night I would ever drink. Everyone would just be buying beers and having a grand old time enjoying yet another win over the Maine Timber. I am assuming in this scenario that John Hopoate scored a hat trick and the game winning goal in the dying seconds and became a national hero. But the think Hoppa likes more than playing hockey is drinking with the fans and just having a good time. Why bother playing hockey if you can't enjoy the benefits.

Dwight Knight has been part of the Tampa Bay Barracuda team since he was drafted to the Simulation Hockey League. The Amenities that were talked about last week were lucrative but not deal breakers. They were more about showing that the team valued Dwight as a player and listened. The problems with this councilman and the ineptitude of the the firm hired to break ground on the new stadium are outside of Dwight's hands and he tries to rally the gang to understand that collegiate weight rooms are equivalent to professional facilities. Dwight remembered that some of them were actually more advanced than the professionals when he was transitioning to the sport. He heard rumors that the North Dakota Fighting Sioux, Now called the Fighting Hawks were at the forefront of training and rehabilitation. With equipment that was light on the joints like underwater treadmills, that are still present in the collegiate facilities that the Barracuda will be using. It also is good for Dwight he gets to be exposed to Collegiate social life. His first day around he got invited to join a fraturnaty but the frat was disappointed to learn Dwight was not enrolled in the school.

Quote:Written Task: It's the night of a huge win over your arch-rivals. Your fans are going nuts, and you know there's gonna be an absolute rager going down at the local club your team's owner also owns. What does your player do? Do you show up at the party and bask in the adulation? What else goes down? If not, do you play the disciplined professional and be in bed by 9:30? If so, why? What goes through your head knowing at least some of your teammates are not doing the same? (150+ words)

Absolute rager? I think everyone knows that Spack Jarrow would be down for that. There is no way that the place wouldn't be stocked with his own rum. But there is always a plan behind the party. First Jarrow would show up and enjoy the Instagram posts when everyone is fresh and things are looking glamourous. But Spack is no innocent rookie. No he knows how these things go down so by 11pm, just as the vibe starts peaking, Jarrow finds an opportunity to slip out the back door and leave. Nothing good comes from being in a nightclub beyond midnight as a "celebrity". At best your going to get some ugly social media photos being snapped as words begin to slur. At worst? Well we all know the bad shit that can go down when you combine 2am with alcohol. Best to avoid any potential life and legal situations and head back to the crib or boat and stay more lowkey and the people wanting more.

The night was wild, buzzing with the energy of their epic triumph over their arch-rivals. The Detroit Falcons had smashed it, and the fans were going bonkers. Billy Herrington, the star forward, stood at a crossroads, grappling with his options. A mischievous grin stretched across his face as he decided to hit up the local club owned by the team's owner. Why not join the raging party and soak up the adulation? The idea of immersing himself in the revelry and celebrating with his teammates was just too tempting to resist. Entering the club, Billy was instantly swallowed by the uproar. "Billy! Billy!" the crowd chanted, echoing his name. He raised his glass, acknowledging the fans who elevated him to hero status. The moment felt surreal, his heart swelling with pride. But deep down, a small voice nagged at him. He knew he should act like a responsible pro, prioritize rest and recovery. All those grueling practices and intense workouts were for a reason – to be at the top of his game. Looking around, he noticed some teammates losing themselves in the revelries. Mixed emotions flooded his mind. He understood the allure of letting loose, but duty tugged at him, urging him to make a different choice. He respected discipline and the sacrifice it demanded. As the night wore on, Billy bid farewell to his ecstatic fans and headed home. The echoes of celebration still reverberated in his veins as he sought solace in his bed. Thoughts of his teammates lingered, a blend of admiration for their ability to embrace the night and concern for the potential consequences. Ultimately, Billy's decision to prioritize his well-being and professionalism, despite the irresistible temptation, spoke volumes about his commitment to the game. He knew that true success required sacrifices, and as he drifted into a peaceful slumber, he relished the victory, knowing that tomorrow's practice was another step toward greatness.

uh oh! plans have gone very awry and now the Atlanta Inferno of the eastern conference of the Simulation Hockey League are going to be spending a few seasons playing in a building that is notably not a Simulation Hockey League arena. That is very sad and bad! thankfully kezia mackenzie (right winger for the Atlanta Inferno) is an easy going person who also had the great pleasure of playing for the Regina Elk of the Western Conference of the Simulation Major Junior Hockey League, and as such is quite used to the concept of playing in low capacity buildings such as the one which their team will be spending the next handful of seasons in. Kezia understands the inherent value that can be gained from playing in an intimate environment such as the college building the atlanta inferno will be spending time in. also Kezia gets paid a lot so its fine (153 words)

when connor o'byrne was younger, he was always the guy on the team who went the hardest and set the standard for the rest of the team to follow at any given party or celebration. now, as hes gotten older, expanded his family and focused on his body and mindset more, hes dialed back on that party boy mentality and usually just has a beer or two and is out of there by 11pm. however, every once in a while, connor will be challenged by a youngin of the team and prove that he is still the guy that can absolutely take over a party and lead an incredible celebration. connor o'byrne loves to use his paychecks from the shl for good at ragers, buying a round for everyone in the club, leading dance offs and in general leading everyone to an absolute blast. however these nights are very uncommon because his body tends to give him a very hard hangover afterwards

Not sure why we demo’d the old stadium before building the new one. If anything, that’s the dumbest part of this situation. Rule 1 in construction is to never demo something until you’ve got the replacement in hand. This isn’t even something that should be blamed on the poor construction team. This is the owners fault for signing off on it. As far as next season goes, I think it will be fun playing in a tiny stadium. It will feel more intimate and knowing it’s only temporary will make it easier to do. It will make the team and it’s fans appreciate the new arena even more as well. Fans will be upset they’re missing out on games and in fear of missing out again, they will buy season tickets early. But, I still blame @hotdog for this situation we’re in as he should have had better foresight. Thanks hotdog!

DAD is not wasting his time during the season. He does not want to destroy all his efforts by going to the club during the season, as it does not fit in DAD's values. During the season, DAD is very well disciplined and he follows a strict schedule during all season. During the offseason, DAD can sometimes go hangout with friends and family, but not during the season. Even if DAD knows that some teammates are going to the club, as a an assistant, he has more responsibilities like showing the example to the younglings and everyone on the team. He know that it is not a good idea to celebrate during the season. All the team is working hard to win more and more games and we cannot act like playing for the Renegades is something easy. DAD will certainly be furious if he knows that some of his teammates are willing to throw all the team's effort for a single night out.
