a. The goal scoring race this season ended in a tie between Evil Allbran and Lias Ekholm-Gunnarsson, each potting a phenomenal 60 goals. They'll be lining up on opposide sides of the faceoff dot this all star game. Which of our league's best scorers would you rather have and why?

b. Borje Samuelsson lead all the league's defensemen in points this season with an incredible statline of 22-59-81 in 66 games played. However, the best defensive defenseman in this all star game is Adelie de Pingu, who put up 16-40-56 in the same number of games played while still recording the best average defensive performance of anyone who made primetime. Which of these defensemen will have a better showing this weekend and why?

c. The eastern conference will be lining up in front of netminders Casey Fantoben and Brick Wall, while the west will play in front of Justin Time and Jon St. Ark. Which team should be more comfortable with their backstop tandem? Why?

d. Why should YOUR player have made the all star game, and why is this such an egregious snub? (If your player did make the all star game, argue for one of your teammates who didn't instead!)

a. You know that really is a tough one simply because both are such exceptional goal scorers. If there was anything that might tip things in Evil Allbran's favour though, it is that Mikko Rashford is likely a linemate with Ekholm-Gunnarsson, and if you have been paying attention at all to the news surrounding Rashford, well, that is probably the best linemate you could possibly ask for to put up the goals. (WC: 72)
b. While I love to see defensive defenseman getting the nod, I feel that at the all star game, those offensive defenseman will shine the brightest given that most players will likely be looking to have a chill time out on the ice. Defensive defenseman seem to play best when the game is at its highest tempo, and I don't imagine the allstar game ever matching that level of compeition. Therefore, Borje would probably rock it out in the more mellow pace of the event.
c. With how well Fantobens played for the Buffalo stampede during their Challenge Cup playoff run, I would be hard pressed to go with anyone else. The east really does seem to be the stronger of the two tandems, especially with Brick Wall having that positive reputation and being regarded as the equivalent of a brick wall.
d. Vaseline Podcalzone should have made the all star game because he learned how to score again! He really had an underrated year by all means and still played pretty solid hockey! A 25 goal season is not something to simply write off. Also, Podcalzone's linemate William Salming ought to also receive more consideration given his outstanding point per game season for the Argonauts while also playing a very strong and physical game.

3. Written, 3 TPE, And Now, For the Main Event (150 words min.)
Tell me about your teammate who made the all star game! Who are they, what makes their game special, and why are they going to utterly dominate this event? (If more than one of your teammates made the game, pick one of those players other than yourself. If you are the only player on your team selected for the all star game so far, then and only then may you pump your own tires.)

The only Seattle Argonaut in this year's All-Star game will be number one franchise center Canadian Max Manning. He led the team in scoring. Manning scored 41 goals and assisted 46 goals. Altogether he had 87 points. The gap to the second best scorer was 21 points. That guy was myself, William Salming. We played in the same line again whole season so for sure I can tell you about something Max. His game is special because he just doesn't play bad shifts. His focus to the game is incredible. He loves the game and that's why wants to stay always on the ice as long as possible until he is forced to come back back to the bench due to fatigue. But he recovers fast in the bench because he is a freak athlete and always in excellent shape. And we haven't even yet discussed about his goal-scoring ablility which is awesome. He has won at least twice the goal-scoring title and once again had over 40 goals even though Max is slowly regressing.

Which of your teammates (not yourself!) should be the last man in for your conference? Why should they get in, and why will it be a literal crime if they dont?

From the Seattle Argonauts, last man in to the All-Star game of season 71 should be a player named Landon Fischermann. He scored as a defender whopping 52 points in 66 games. He had 13 goals and 39 assists. Those are great totals for an all-around defenceman who can be a quarterback in the first power-play unit but also kill penalties very well. Also his plus-minus was +11 even though we didn't have a best season here in Seattle. Fischermann is also a great athlete and he has to be because otherwise he wouldn't be able to play 25 minutes in a night which was his average ice-time this season. Fischermann shines especially in endurance tests every summer when Argonauts have them in its training camp. But yeah, I was pretty surprised to not see Landon in the All-Star game list because he had a tremendous season as a Seattle's number one defenceman past season. Hopefully he gets the respect he deserves via" last man in" -voting.

A - I do not know who those players are or who they play for but I like the name of Evil Allbran. He sounds like he knows what he wants from life and that is to score a fuck ton of goals. So I will pick him for this pointless all star game. [53 words]
B - So you said Borje was the best defender or I could pick someone who isn't close to him stat wise? No I want goals, you want goals, everyone wants them so I am very easily picking the better player of Borje Samuelsson for this game. Easiest choice ever, plus now he will feed Evil Allbran too. [57 words]
C - I mean this is super easy too. Casey Fantoben just won a ring and was GOATed in the playoffs. I want that. Biasedness aside? The best keeper in the SHL and has a ring to prove it against the most stacked teams. The stats don't lie. I feel BAD for the other goalies who can't compare. [56 words]
D - Are you joking? I am nowhere near and only on like 1k TPE. I hardly should be on the all star unless every D player here sucks badly to the point I make it via default. Let's not go full deluded, it'd be nice but my players way too young to make it and we all know it. [ 59 words]

I mean this is an easy write up for me since Casey Fantoben made it by being literally 1 of, if not, the best goalie in the league. Utterly dominate this event? No, no, no. They're going to do what they always do.

We finished 5th in the regular season right? Well then we owned the 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st seeds in the playoffs and that was mainly thanks to the wonder goalie. Casey's already played against the best of the best, putting lesser best of the best against Casey will just have them doing the normal god tier performance. They should all just not even shoot and give up to save face. I'd call Casey a Brick Wall but well...Brick Wall is at all stars so a bit awkward to steal his name I feel.

They're just one of the best honestly and I am proud to call Casey my team mate. Give them hell and all that jazz.

I'll do this 1 since then I don't have to admit I aint watching or caring about this since I'm not in it. I am thinking of giving it to Jay Sink. A good defender but primarily because the name just makes me chuckle when I see it. I love pun names and that one is pretty good.

Now why should he be the last man in the conference? Funny name innit blud. Just pick him. He is on the team that won our conference the ring yet again and he's a cool dude. Boom, what more do you need. He also got goals and assists (Do not look up how many that ruins my agenda here) and also managed to get blocks, hits and wins. Now that to me ladies and gentlemen sounds like a true winner and a great reason to pick him. Plus the name. Great player name. So pick Jay Sink.
