The Vancouver Whalers have made the playoffs and have earned a first round bye for the second season in a row. The Whalers are an absolute powerhouse, finishing the regular season only one point behind the first place Maine Timber, the Whalers look to make a splash in playoffs. They are led by nine players with capped TPE and are a threat on the offensive and defensive sides of the puck. Team point leader, Thomas Liebold finished the season with 103 points which was good enough for the third most points in the league and his 64 assists set a franchise single season assist record. Forward Wednesday Addams is also a major threat finishing the season with a league leading plus 73 rating and 94 points the Whalers are excited to make a long run in the playoffs and hopefully win the SMJHL Championship with a talented group of young players and an elite coaching and management staff

Quebec City has no chance against us. Plain and simple. We took one of their best players from them and they still expect to beat us? Hah. Look at how deep our team is and how dangerous they are. We have Rowan O’Brien, Mercedes Bayle and now Jiggle E. Puff to form the best first line in all of the SMJHL. The defense is stout, with Willow Soderberg Snooks blocking every single shot in sight while Philippe Le Bel and Guy Incognito help make the powerplay into one of the most lethal things this side of Saskatchewan. The goalie tandem as well, oh baby. Ally Mathieson and Zach Cuff Jr are both absolute legends in between the pipes saving everything left and right. And finally, don’t forget about the fanbase, the Regina fans are so passionate and always ready to chant and sing and get into the heads of opposing players, those owls don’t stand a chance against us. | PTS: 7 | BLK: 45 | +/-: 6 | PTS: 4 | BLK: 10 | +/-: 0

Well once again the Armada have made the playoffs and this time they face off against the Yukon Malamutes. This isn't going to be pretty or easy, but the Armada will prevail. There will be many different reasons on why we will prevail over the sled dogs. Our goaltenders are better and more experienced, our defense is stronger, and our forward depth is just too much. Up front sure the Malamutes have Svatos that scored 53 times this year but then it drops off to 30 goals, we on the other hand have 2 43 goal scores in Tony Soprano and Joseph Reed and then a 35 goal scorer in Barg Hazbite. Our scoring depth is just too deep to not overcome their team. When you look at the defensive core, we both have 2 players who can be counted on to put up the points, but I think the defensive skills of the Armada are just a little bit stronger. When you get back to the net, while the Armada lean on Peter Lasma, the Malamutes are running out an unproven rookie goalie in Jim Wen. This is where the experience I think will prevail, Lasma is a second year goalie and Wen is a pure rookie, Lasma has the veteran know how and guile to pull this off.

Philip Fry stood in shock as Hairy Bettmouse, the PGHL commissioner, revealed the sinister plot to take control of Earth's hockey and bleed it dry of its resources. His alien team, having grown to love the sport and their hu-mon coach, refused to let this stand. Together, they hatched a daring plan. They would agree to enter the PGHL on the condition that if they won the cup, Earth would gain its independence from the PGHL's oppressive demands. But this was just part of their strategy. While competing in the PGHL, Fry and his team used their unique skills and camaraderie to dominate the league. Alongside their alien fans, they gained allies within the PGHL who shared their discontent with Bettmouse's reign.
At the climactic championship game, Fry's team faced off against the PGHL's best. In a heart-stopping match, they emerged victorious, securing Earth's freedom. But their plan wasn't done. Using magnetic skates and a high-velocity puck, Fry skated across the hull of Bettmouse's mothership and fired the puck down the exhaust port of his communications tower. The resulting explosion disrupted the PGHL's control over Earth. As the timeline shifted and the threat faded, Earth's hockey remained untainted by alien advertisements. The plucky extraterrestrial team, their hu-mon coach, and their fans celebrated not just a hockey victory but a triumph of freedom and sportsmanship across the galaxy.

The Los Angeles Panthers made the playoffs this season and are going to take on The San Francisco Pride in the first round. This is the Battle of California. The two California teams face off and it has a rivalry rating that will make the players play with a certain edge. The Panthers are clicking, morale is high in the locker room and the players really want it this season. This drive is going to push them past the Pride. San Francisco will pick up some wins against the Panthers, but ultimately, the Panthers will be more motivated and determined to advanced in the playoffs and make some more noise. This season may or may not be the season the Panthers chase the championship, but they will surely demonstrate some good hockey in the opening round and see what happens as the playoffs advance. There’s a lot of leaders in the locker room that are pushing guys to perform their best.

Prompt 1.
Lucky for me, for Earth, and for all of the fans of the hockey world and the Simulation Hockey League, I was already prepared for such a situation to occur. In fact, I have watched numerous times, nay, studied, a very important documentary about a similar situation that happened oh so many years ago, and I am ready to put my knowledge to use. Of course, the situation that occured back in the days was about basketball, but the same concept applies and I am confident in my plan. Stealing some of the alien technology with my teammates, we will rip a hole through the fabric of space and time to access a different universe where hockey is not simulated, and we will kidnap the greatest player from that part of the multiverse, a man named Jon Scott. We will bring mister Scott back to our universe, and with his talent and ours combined we will challenge these aliens to a hockey game with the intergalactic rights to hockey going to the winners.

“I thought I was a goalie, but STA told me forget being a goalie they make nothing, and no one cares about them. Guess what I was a center all along and I had no idea. Now I am the toast of the town, and I am getting offers from all the GMs and Scouts.” – Spidey Talent Agency, on Activity Check |
