Quote:Your task: Explain why turning injuries on would be a bad idea. Or a good idea, if you feel like frightening your fellow nerds today.

Imagine putting in time out of your week every week for several years only to have your high TPE player miss time because of bad RNG. Depending on how long they're set to last, you could wind up missing out on your highest TPE season. There are better ways to make things interesting, ways that don't invalidate the effort people put into participating in the league.

Turning on injuries would be a great idea, if we also turn on suspensions. It adds more realism to the game, and makes things like aggression, fighting, bravery and hitting somewhat more useful.

I think injuries would be fun to turn on only if the threshold for actually being injured was low. It would give defenders better reasons to focus on different attributes and allow for different metas. I do think it should somehow be capped in a way so a team with younger players isn't just getting wrecked with injuries and can't even compete. All depends on how the sim would go about it tho.

Injuries belong to all sports. That's way they should be of course ON. That is my only argument. You would just need to accept bad luck sometimes. It would grow you also as a human being.

I think injuries turning on would cause a lot of salt and annoyance, especially if they're injury prone. So I say turn them on, I want the chaos.

Turning on injuries would be a boon to the simulation doctors and nurses who are lacking simulated work to feed their simulated families. Why does no one think of them and only of their players? Selfish.

We are having trouble stocking the teams as it is without adding the risk of players being out due to injury. Additionally as someone who would probably have terrible injury luck I would just drop out of the league rather than deal with it after losing three player careers to it.

Not only would we run out of players for rosters, it would totally suck for people whose players are injured. What's the point of a fake hockey league if you can't watch your fake hockey dot move on the screen?

The positive would be that it would be much more realistic. The negative though (which is probably why it shouldn't be done) is that we would lose activity I think because if someone's player is out for the season, they may just lose interest.

Turn on the injuries I say. Hockey, especially the simulated kind, is already a roll of the dice. Let's see how durable all these quick and speedy scorers are. Let's give my player a chance to get called up for the playoffs.

Turning on injuries would be fun for five minutes. The toil thses injuries wpuld take would destroy careers. Having an Arron Rodgers situation would not be fun for anyone.

Injuries would be interesting, however if players got hurt and had to miss the season it would really kill the user base. we also dont have enough users to fill in for injured players. All in all a bad idea

Turning injuries on is a bad idea, and I think most will agree with me. No one wants to see their hard work derailed by any more sim randomness than there already is. Please this is a terrible idea.

I feel adding injuries would be a poor idea. Strictly on the basis that we want everyone to enjoy their time here. From a pure enjoyment standpoint I wouldn't want to see my player hurt for any duration of time.

Unfortunately injuries would just make some players have repeated injuries if their luck is bad enough and drive them away from the league. It would just not be fair in the end to anyone to me.
