WHO ARE THESE TASKS FOR? S73 SMJHL Rookies (S74 SHL Draftees, AKA anyone with "[S74]" next to their player name)

Note: Rookie tasks are available to a user only once during their lifetime on the site, not once per player.

TO CLAIM TASKS: Make a post in this thread and link each task you completed (please keep all claims you are making at the same time in a single post). Afterward, a Rookie Task Grader will come by and grade each task to verify if the task is complete and award site money.

Once a Rookie Task grader has edited your post (you will be notified via a ping on the site), please create a separate post in the thread for any additional tasks completed, as well as link any previous claims you have made.

PAYOUT:
- $1,000,000 per task completed

Watching my first stream of the 73rd season was actually the streamed all-star games of the SMJHL and SHL courtesy of Ace.  I have watched live streams before and it was usually a mix of copyright free music overlaid or mixed in with the audio files from the game with primary interaction occurring in the chat boxes to the right of the screen, however this stream definitely elevated the bar.

Not only was there the usual staples of game audio mixed in with copyright-free music, but Ace turned it up a notch with a podcast-esque live stream of himself while simultaneously providing live play by play and analytics about players on the "ice" as if he himself were "Doc" Emrick.  It was friendly, it was welcoming and more importantly it was refreshing.  One of the original reasons of switching to the FHM engine in the SHL was to improve user participation and if the sim team can take anything from last night's performance and capitalize on it...the future outlook of SHL live streams looks very, very nice.

Sadly for me the 1st stream I got the pleasure of watching was one where my Regina Elk only played 1 game. It was a barn burner though as the teams combined for 16 goals in the 1st game of the season with my player not having to wait very long to score their first point and goal as a SMJHL player. As someone who is on the defensive end of the game - I know in the past players have had to wait quite some time to see that 1st slapshot from the point hit the twine in the back of the net for their 1st. To get the monkey off my back earlier feels good and despite our poor goalies getting that GAA into the sky for the 1st game, it is nice sometimes to be a part of those games from the wild wild west where every other shot seems to be going in. Lets not do to many of those during the season though as I fear for my Plus/ Minus.

7. I’ve watched a few SMJHL streams and while they tended to be a little late (understandably so) they have been fun. However, most of the time, I just pause on my team’s section to see if my player did anything. In this particular instance, The Yukon Malamutes did quite well, securing victories over the Maine Timber (4-2), the Colorado Raptors (6-2), (Langston Hardison-Laurent 1A), and the Detroit Falcons (8-0). Yukon recorded losses to the Knights (1-4), the Battleborn (4-5) (the first period mired by penalties) and a shootout loss to Anchorage (2-1). The stream would often go black for line changes and golaue Swaps. To be honest I did not pay much attention to the other games, but the Nevada Battleborn – Colorado Raptors game was eye catching since the Battleborn put up 11 goals, a total only surpassed by Yukon so far. I also did notice that there is a high degree of shots per game. Oh also someone like to make fun of Kahri in the live chat.
