So the SMJHL draft what happened a week or two ago at saturday where i was drafted for the first time in SMJHL by yukon malmutes and john peanut being drafted first overall by great falls grizzlies
2nd overall was will tomander by detroit falcons and my team yukon malmutes didn’t get a first round pick but their first pick was the 21st pick and in round 2 squidwardo tentacles myself i was drafted 49th overall by previously mention yukon malmutes The draft had 7 rounds with a lot of teams just passing on the 7th round and a few teams also passed in the 6th round with regine elks already passing in the 5th round also the last pick in the draft was by st louis scarecrows ben gunner nuksjaer So we are going now to see what kind of stats the top 7 draft picks have put up in this season First we have the first overall pick john peanut He so far has in 15 games 5 assist and 0 goals making 5 points with the average time on ice being 20 minutes per game so at the moment hes at least at the moment leading in rookie defender points but only time will tell if he will take that lead Next we have the second overall will tommander He has gotten 4 goals and 8 assist making 12 points in 17 games and with the average of 18 minutes of icetime so so far the 2nd overall pick has been doing good in the SJMHL Then we are moving to the third overall of the draft Nick Kodiak Where he has gotten 3 goals and 7 assists making 10 points in 18 games and his average time on ice per game is 17 minutes he has also had a pretty good but not as good of a season as the second overall will tommander has Now we are moving to our fourth overall player robdrigo banes He has gotten 5 goals and 4 assist making it 9 points in 16 games and the average ice time being 18 minutes per game so i would say he has had pretty much as good as a start as nick kodiak Now moving to the fifth overall pick Deep tought He has had an amazing rookie season with 7 goals and 17 assist making it 24 points in 18 games what is in fact the most points by a rookie this season in SMJHL and he has been so far the best player in this list with also 20 minutes of ice time per game Moving to our sixth pick of the draft mikkel enevoldsen he has so far had a good season with 1 goal and 13 assists making it 14 points in 15 games with a great icetime of 20 minutes per game he has also been putting putting good numbers as a rookie Now for the seventh pick of the draft froya solberg He has had 5 goals and 7 assists making it 12 points in 16 games and having an average ice time of 18 minutes per game So in conclusion this draft season has been pretty good in the SMJHL or at least in my eyes
