It's that time again when the All-Star Committees awakens from their deep slumber to prepare for the S73 All-Star Game! 

This season the All-Star Game will be hosted by an SHL Western team and I am personally very excited for this! The SHL All-Star Committee has deliberated, voted, and decided this season's All-Star Game Host will be...

EDMONTON BLIZZARD

There may be a scheduling conflict at Rogers Place for the All-Star game as the venue has already been booked for Disney on Ice. As a result, the All-Star festivities will be hosted at the West Edmonton Mall, and we cannot think of a better venue, where else can you catch the All-Star game and then go see some cute penguins, ride a rollercoaster, and slip down a waterslide all without having to go outside! 

As is tradition (as of right now), the host GMs (@HabsFanFromOntario and @Eggcracker) will be hosting a GM sleepover party at the arena. Don't forget your sleeping bags, BYOB, and there will be games (like but not limited to) pillow fights, zamboni drag racing, pin the wig on the HFFO, tamper role-playing, and much more!

The All-Star game is not complete without a new set of sweet logos...

All-Star Logo Contest 

Here are the requirements :

The logo submissions include two (2) variations: One (1) for SHL and one (1) for the SMJHL.
The logo must be the same in every other way except for the league abbreviation.
While not necessary, we strongly recommend incorporating the host team's colors and overall theme into the logo (EDM team info can be found here)
You can find a few examples of recent winning logos at the bottom this post.

The committee will vote on the logo submissions and the total of the votes will determine the winner(s). In case of any tie, the committee from the host team will have the tiebreaker. If the tie persists, the committee head will select the winner of the tie.

The money prizes for this contest are as follow :
$4,000,000 for 1st place, $2,000,000 for 2nd place if the contest receives less than 5 submissions
$6,000,000 for 1st place, $3,000,000 for 2nd place, and $1,000,000 for 3rd place if the contest receives 5+ submissions

The logo contest for this season's All-Star Game opens now and will close on Friday, November 10th @ 11:59pm EST.
