Hey Guys,
This article will be for everyone who is in the SHL or is a send down. This is not applicable for people who just got drafted in the S74 draft If you don’t want to read and just look at a spreadsheet Link is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...sp=sharing TPE in general is pretty linear, with not a ton of opportunities to get ahead of your classmates if everyone is doing all the point tasks, predictions, training, and activity checks. But the one way to slowly start to gain a lead is to get fantasy TPE, and simply just predict better than everyone else. Whether thats through the season predictions, awards predictions, and then the weekly hattricks and primetimes. So i'm going to do a little deep dive on who was the best at predicting, and then explore on who earned the most TPE this season Hattricks & Primetimes What is a hattrick? A hattrick is where the PT department gives you 3 hypotheticals, and its your job to say whether those hypotheticals would happen. You get 1 TPE for participating, 1 TPE for one correct answer, and 1 additional TPE if you get all 3 right. For primetime, there is 3 different matchups, and you have to correctly guess who would win each matchup. It is 1 TPE for participating, and .5 TPE for each correct answer, so that is 3 TPE you can also earn. So, we have 5 primetime’s and 5 hattricks. So hypothetically, the max TPE you can earn for doing these tasks is 30 TPE. In terms of the amount of people who did all 10 or less we can take a look at the participation numbers as well We had 190 people did all 10 3 people who did 9 57 people who did 8 7 people who did 7 22 people who did 6 7 people who did 5 22 people who did 4 5 people who did 3 15 people who did 2 1 person who only did 1 So lets take a broad look at how much TPE people have earned from it ![]() So as you can see, the majority of people have earned TPE was between 19-21 TPE. And then a bunch between 1-18. Then a select few who earned 23 and 24 tpe out of 30 possible TPE you can earn. So lets see those select few and congratulate them Bruins10: 24 Keven: 24 Jumbobone19: 24 Hungy Fella: 24 KaleSalad: 23 downer: 23 CapnCooper: 23 enigmatic: 23 NYR73: 23 Evil_AllBran: 23 golden_apricot: 23 Leafs4ever: 23 puolivalmiste: 23 Tomen: 23 mcpumpkin: 23 By-Tor: 23 JNH: 23 Acsolap: 23 tomtommen: 23 gurbs: 23 Wearingabear: 23 Average TPE Earned: 17 Median TPE Earned: 19 Top 15%: 21 Coaching, AC & Training Data For this section, we are including SMJHL rookies. This section will focus on just some fun data about the number of people who did all of the weekly gimme tasks, as well as coaching. Obviously there isnt anyone who can really lead in TPE, as we had 194 people who earned the max TPE they can get with 91 TPE. This will help give more general stats on everything and create a clearer picture of what it takes to earn in the league. Activity Checks ![]() For the season, we had 290 people claimed all 9 AC’s, which is amazing to see. One interesting thing to look at, is the 36 people who only did 1 AC. I assume it was everyone who joined for a week and then quit. But its encouraging that we have 413 people do more than half of the AC’s. Training ![]() This one is a big harder to visualize. But we can break it down We had 209 people who did all of the weekly 5 TPE training. Again with 209 people completing that Then on the SMJHL end, we had 33 people do all 9 weeks of 3 TPE earning. Then after that we have smaller and smaller slices of every other TPE that people have earned. Coaching ![]() This one, I find much more interesting. So in total we had 392 people purchase coaching this season. Out of that, 275 people purchased max coaching on the SHL side Then in the SMJHL, we had 68 people purchase max coaching. Then 49 people purchased a mixed bag of coaching. Funnily enough we had 6 people purchase 1 TPE of coaching. regular point tasks mPT’s, PT’s, ASW, CW, Lindsay So from out of these, it is 15 tasks you could do this season(and kinda last season because of ASW and CW). Out of the league, we had 126 people complete all 15 tasks. In total we had 328 people do 1 of the SHL tasks you can do. From the 126 people though, only 114 of them got the max TPE you can earn out of those tasks, with is 41. So somewhere you got 12 people who did the ASW and CW who didnt get the full tpe amount. So in terms of numbers 126 people in the SHL did everything they could to earn that max 41 TPE number. Congrats to those 126 people Average TPE Earned: 28 Median TPE Earned: 32 Top 15%: 41 Awards, Playoff, IIHF, Fantasy, and Mock Draft These are the variables that people really want. The rest of the predictions to get you ahead of your class by TPE. Sure doing max of the PT’s, doing all your AC’s and Trainings. Purchasing max coaching every year is great. But this is where you can really distinguish yourself over your career. Get the extra 50 TPE or whatever over the lifetime of your player to really be the best you can be. So lets go through the general stats The Average SHL user earned 20 TPE off of these predictions The Median was 23 TPE The top 15% was 26 TPE So lets just get into the top 23 people who earned 32 or more TPE
Congrats to them Who Actually earned the most TPE this season THIS IS FOR SHL & SEND DOWNS ONLY. SMJHL ROOKIES ARE NOT IN HERE So, it all comes down to this. Who earned the most TPE this season. Well… its a little complicated. Just for the fact that we have Training Camp. Where the youngest users get the most TPE. so I am going to split it up into 2 categories. Who earned the most TPE in general Who earned the most TPE without training camp In order to get a more holistic view of who earned the most TPE just because they were young, or because they predicted right, did everything they could Including Training Camp General Stats: Average TPE: 139 TPE Earned Median: 164 TPE Earned Top 15%: 185 TPE Top 50
No Training Camp General stats: Average TPE Earned: 128 TPE Median TPE Earned: 152 TPE Top 15% TPE Earned: 176 TPE Top 50
Conclusion Congrats on the max earners! Hope you can look at it and say “wow this isnt a waste of my time and this is interesting data” And if you don’t see your name, click the spreadsheet link and look up your name. And hopefully you said “wow I did a good job” Thanks for reading ![]() Head Office Queen of Wiggles ![]() HOF Committee Winnipeg Aurora ![]() IIHF Federation Head froggie ![]() Fantasy League Manager Posting Freak ![]() Registered ambacas ![]() Graphic Graders I <3 Coffee
