Trent Wiseman - personal thoughts

Trent's body ached as he stepped off the ice, the cold seeping through his gear and intensifying the soreness that lingered from the game with the Great Falls Grizzlies. Despite his efforts on the defensive end of the Ice, the team had still fallen short of victory. The disappointment for him was palpable as he felt like this game was one they should have won, but Trent found solace in the acknowledgment of his coach, who patted him on the back, recognizing his unwavering commitment to solid defense. In the midst of the defeat, Trent took pride in his consistent performance on the ice, particularly in the idea of him leading in blocked shots for their team. Each game seemed to bring a familiar pattern around four blocked shots attributed to his name. It was a skill that made him feel like it set him apart in some aspects of his game, a skill that he worked on in high school and felt like he perfected through relentless practice with Colorado and with some determination along the way. Even though the team faced challenges, in Trent's mind he knew the team could bounce back as they did go on a bit of a run before so he knew it wasn’t impossible for the offense to take one bad game and turn it around for them.
As he caught his breath in the locker room, Trent took a moment to think on the season's progress. The team's record of 7-3-0 placed them in fourth position, to him it felt like a commendable standing. all in all despite the losses, Trent felt a sense of accomplishment in contributing to the team's success. Two points on the season might seem terrible to some, but for him, it was something as he was not supposed to be that point guy in some ways, he was there to block shot, get hits, and make passes to break out of the zone. His focus wasn't solely on personal statistics or the number of goals he scored; instead, he embraced his role as a defensive defenseman it just felt right to fall into that role. His commitment to stopping and forcing the opposing offenses out of his zone became a big source of inspiration for him and he felt like it helped his teammates get going as with every blocked shot it felt like some momentum was gained even though it might be a little it could change the way the game goes. Looking ahead to the games they had yet to play, Trent remained optimistic. The season was still young, and there were great opportunities for the team to climb even higher in the standings (if they could knock Quebec down a peg or two). As he un-tightened the laces of his skates, Trent felt a renewed sense of purpose. The scoreboard might not always reflect the team's efforts, but he was determined to keep blocking shots, defending the net, and playing a crucial role in every game that lay ahead. For Trent, the main prize was not individual stats, the main prize to him and what he felt like the whole team was winning the Four Star Cup that stayed away from Colorado after they won it as the Colorado Mammoths back in season 27 or the third season they were around.
