OOC: Some friends knew it already, but full name reveal because why not! Also briefly mentioning what I'm looking for as a bit of unofficial open-book scouting thing.

Some interesting news in SMJHL deep-dive prospect scouting came out today, as the agency for goalie hopeful Anastasia Söderström announced that she intends to declare for the SMJHL draft in a press release. Söderström hails from the small city of Sundsvall, Sweden, and while statistics are difficult to find, she appears to have put up a 19-5-1 record for a competitive travel team with a 1.46 GAA and a .934 save percentage in her most recent season. Söderström, who turns 15 in May, is one of the youngest players in this year's SMJHL draft class, but is not short on size or athleticism at 5'11".

When asked for comment, an unnamed scout cited Söderström's puck-tracking ability and hockey IQ as a strength, pointing to her ability to be stingy with rebounds and see the puck through traffic. The biggest test for her as she moves to the SMJHL will be whether she can adapt to the higher level of competition and physical playing style of North American hockey, as well as how she can handle the media circus at her young age.

Söderström is represented by Marianne Maltais, the multi-sport superagent who also represents Calgary Dragons superstar centre Sophie Bordeleau and Chicago Butchers running back Jake Jefferson.

Out-of-character scouting mention to J war rooms: I'm willing to play pretty much anywhere on this player, impress me. I don't mind backing up for a year since I plan on staying down the full four seasons, but I'd prefer to start if there's any chance of that being possible. Again, I'm an open book and have been out of the J long enough that I don't really have anyone ruled out, so once I formally create at the offseason post feel free to hit me up with your best sell for the draft.
