Made playoffs: longest playoff drought
Round 1 win: Winning in the 1st round
Round 2 win: Winning in the 2nd round of the playoffs (could be conference final depending on the season)
Round 3: Winning in the conference finals
Finals Lost: last time they lost in the finals
Win: Last time a team has won the cup
Made playoffs:
Now with 16/20 teams making the playoffs, the playoff drought is significantly shorter than before. And now with tanking teams basically guaranteeing themselves to not be in the playoffs its more predictable. So right now there is only 4 teams that are in playoff droughts
Now this has become a bit more interesting with droughts. Because its one thing to make the playoffs, its another to win the first series. So lets take a look at the last time teams has won in the 1st round
And then a couple seasons who didn't win this season whatsoever. But these are the major ones. The biggest one is obviously Minnesota, who hasn't won in the 1st round since S46. Approaching 5 IRL seasons of not winning the 1st round. They are down BAD.
The next ones are teams like Tampa Bay who 8 seasons ago was the last time they were a good team, and the next 8 seasons they were rebuilding. And now seemingly getting better now.
Toronto and Manhattan both embarking on their rebuilds about 6 seasons ago.
New Orleans facing against Chicago for like 4 of those 5 seasons must be frustrating.
Round 2 win:
Now we can get into some of the interesting bits. This is the last time they were in a true playoff push. To try to win the cup
Round 3 win
For some teams they havent won in round 3 because of the change in the playoff structure they never made it to the 3rd round. As for the most part in the SHL it was Round 1, Conference Finals, Finals. Or Wild Card, Round 1, Conference Finals, Finals
Those teams are Minnesota, New Orleans, Toronto, Calgary, BGaltimore, San Francisco, Montreal
So for the droughts right now is those who have made it to round 3(conference finals) since we switched to the 16 team playoff structure
Texas: 12 seasons
Hamilton: 11 seasons
Chicago: 10 seasons
Los Angeles: 9 seasons
Tampa Bay: 9 seasons
Atlanta: 8 seasons
Manhattan: 6 seasons
Seattle: 6 seasons
Buffalo: 3 seasons
New England: 2 seasons
Winnipeg: 1 season
Challenge Cup Champions:
The last time a team has won the challenge cup
The following teams have not won the Cup
San Francisco Pride: founded in S28
Montreal Patriotes: founded in S60

Thanks Luke! You are the best.
from S28-S52 it was a thing where if San Francisco won a playoff round they went to the finals (3 times). and they lose everytime. so dont get your hopes up

that reverse sweep PBP"s in S50 was a very funny memory for me. the collapse of it all

I think we've got a real shot with this core, lots of prospects to build around.
