We’ve finally reached the point of the season that everyone has been waiting for. The time when the great teams soar above the weaker teams that have struggled to stay afloat all season. Unfortunately, although Anchorage has had another decent season they were doomed when they matched everyone’s most feared opponent in the second round.
Now am not saying Anchorage is going to be easy, they finished with 74pts and had a +40 goal differential (which is better than some higher seeded teams). This secured them 7th Overall and the right to beat Vancouver in the first round in 7 games. But come on they got Quebec.

This is before we get into individual player stats like Returning Assist Leader Ryland Murphy, Future Defensive player of the Year Leo Roze or Goalie Stat Gods Song Ju-gong or Lukas Konecny. Although it might be fun to watch the Owls sink some row boats, here are 3 reasons why you should probably watch another match up instead.


1. Think of a famous boat, ill wait…Was it the titanic? Most likely it was the titanic or another ship that was sunk because the only time people seem to care about boats is when they sink.


2.Ships are terrible at hockey. As mentioned above they barely work in the medium they were designed to travel on, let alone on ice. Imagine a ship one ice,    stop thinking about the titanic….think more of a ship on a hockey rink, looks dumb as hell. The only thing that might look more ridiculous on ice are trees but who would do that.


3. Are you still thinking about the titanic? Good, cause I want to point out the most famous scene in that movie is about wishing to fly. How embarrassing is it that in the most famous ship’s own movie that the most memorable scene is about flying.



So if you want to watch the ships try to not to sink be my guest but it probably just be easy domination from the birds. Probably, better to watch Detroit Birbs try to beat the Yukon Doge.
