Welcome back to yet another glorious award show.

The S74 World Junior Championship was one of the most competitive tournaments we have ever seen!

Congratulations to Team Norden on winning the gold medal as their first season combined, beating the perennial underdogs Team ICE in the final. UCORCAL came out of nowhere to win the Bronze against Team Rhine.

Now, onto the awards!

DeMaricus Smyth Award

This award goes to the best forward of the tournament. S73's winner was Sunrise van de Schubbekutteveen . The nominees for this year are:

Harvey Danger Award

The Harvey Danger Award is given to the best defenseman of the tournament. S73's winner was Johnny Shuffleboard . The nominees for this year are:

Peter Larson Award

The Peter Larson Award is given to the best goaltender of the tournament. Scary Jerry won the award in S72 and S73. This year's top three nominees are:

Beau Kavanaugh - @takethehorizon - British Isles
Meo Vanbiesbrouck @Dhoop - USA Blue

And the winner is nelly celly, making it the third straight win for a rhyming goaltender!


Alex Andani Award

The Alex Andani Award is given to the best rookie, or first timer, of the tournament. Froya Solberg won the award in S73 playing for Team ICE. The top three nominees for this year are:

Brady McIntyre Award

The Brady McIntyre Award is the most prestigious: it is the award for tournament MVP. S73's winner was Sunrise van de Schubbekutteveen The top three nominees for this year are:

Gunnar Söderberg Award
