As much as I can remember, I was super active, because a that time, I had plenty of time, as I was very young, and I came from another simulation league. First team was Montreal MIilitia, english at first was not the best, but with time it cleaned out and interactions with other people became pleasing and natural

I think I was initially brought over by Nyko after getting bothered about it for a long time. Overall, I think I had a very positive experience, as Wasty even made me a signature when I was first drafted to Anaheim!

My first day here was a bit of a trip because I created on draft night, and decided to make that my 'tradition' (as if doing that with my second player can count as a tradition).

my first player was a massive lil dud but my return with great falls was really nice, the gms there were super welcoming and active as possible despite our lackluster performance.

I won't forget my first day on the site. I signed on becuase another GM in a fantasy league suggested it, "like be a player mode in NHL." Thought that sounded like fun. Getting onto the site and creating a player seemed pretty easy, but understanding how to navigate the site and what to do next I was lost. I quickly saw the media section and pumped out a quick couple of articles. By the time I finished Abdeezy the GM of the (at the time) Blazers reached out to me. He let me know he had the first overall pick and wanted someone active and who would do the work. After a back and forth of what was involved and needed to be successful I gained the knowledge of what to do next and the trust of Deezy to select me first overall.

My first SHL interaction was with someone who approved the players, about if I wanted to be in the S70 or S71 draft class. Decided to be in the S71 draft in the end Smile

I honestly don't remember much. RED recommended the league, I joined, draft was very soon after that. By then I didn't really know much about how this works. CoA and CementHands were Maine GMs at the time and they took a shot at me. The LR was super nice, which helped me stay on board.

As it happened when I joined the PBE, people confused me for Sebster. Other than that, it helped that one of the draft streamers knows who I am and vouched for me.

I created my player a few hours before the smjhl draft so I was swarmed by the j GMs trying to get a feel for me lol. It was a fun day indeed.

Oh Gosh. My first interaction was a terrible offer from the Armada which I happily rejected. Had 2 good offers from Vancouver and Detroit and chose Vancouver. Was a lovely discord with close team mates. Good times.

God, it's been nearly 10 years now so it's very hard to recall how I felt immediately after creation, but I know in my first season at least I very quickly bought in as my time on Vancouver and with my teammates was lovely and that's when I was sold on the social aspect of the league. I had a partner in crime in Kinsler, and a team leader at the time in King. Not to mention two managers in Ben and Yousef that left a good impression. The following season would only better as we got the S20 class.

Well I had already known Rotti, but when I joined up and got a bunch of DMs about who to sign with, it was pretty cool getting connected right away with the boat boiz. When I eventually signed, I fit right in that Locker Room and its been awesome ever since.

myself i kinda just was like oh cool this was a whole website and stuff this must have been well done and stuff i also really liked the overall help i got at the start tho its kinda dissapointing that no SHL gms can notive LR activity since thats where most of the fun convos i had in the rookie year and stuff and i still think thats why i got so low in the draft i talked like daily there but barely any in the rookie discord

Honestly before the S38 SMJHL Draft my on forum experience was limited. Sure there was a discord but it was much smaller than it is now.

As for who I actually spent time talking to the Cursed Mike Izzy was the first person who befriended me here. That’s as far as I will go into that.

S45 was a different time, when I joined Lethbridge had just joined the SMJHL and I was one of the first draftees. It was interesting, but I really just couldn’t stick it out after getting drafted to SFP at the time. Nothing against the users there, just couldn’t get my footing, until I took a 1 year break and came back with a vengeance. (64 words)

i had the bad luck of creating 2 days after the SMJHL draft, but as a result I got scouted by practically every GM in the J. I went back through the messages and COL wins the award for being the first to reach out. Had a lot of good convos and here we are! Even made it through the pre-portal dark ages and everything!
