We have just wrapped up an extraordinary season, and the entire media team would like to thank our community for their enthusiasm and engagement. Especially when compared to other sim leagues, the participation in writing and commenting has been exceptional this season.

It’s an off-season tradition – it’s time for the 2x media weeks with the tournaments (WJC and the IIHF) and drafts (SHL and SMJHL) coming.

These 2x media weeks offer excellent opportunities to earn extra cash, allow new players to showcase their talents, welcome new teammates, immerse in the IIHF and the WJC tournament, or reflect on past draft picks for your team.

It's also a special time with the Ottawa Highlanders and the San Diego Tidal joining the SMJHL. With the expansion draft coming next week, starting today, all media written about the expansion will be worth 2x.


A. Expansion Media Week: Commencing now until March 30th, at 23:59 EST – all articles and podcasts related to the expansion draft, the expansion teams, or the expansion process in general, will be valued at double the standard rate.

Kindly include (2x Expansion) or an equivalent marker in your thread subject.


B. IIHF/WJC Media Week: Commencing now until April 2nd, at 23:59 EST - for the entire tournament duration - all articles and podcasts related to the IIHF tournament or the WJC tournament, whether current or past, will be valued at double the standard rate.

Kindly include (2x IIHF) (2 x WJC) or an equivalent marker in your thread subject.


C. SHL Draft Media Week: Starting immediately and running until March 27th, at 23:59 EST - encompassing a few days before and after the draft - all articles and podcasts about the SHL Draft, whether current or past, will be worth double.

Please add (2x SHL Draft) or an equivalent marker in your thread subject.


D. SMJHL Draft Media Week: Beginning on March 26th, and extending until April 2nd, at 23:59 EST - once again, covering a few days before and after the draft - all articles and podcasts related to the SMJHL Draft, whether current or past, will be valued at double the standard rate.

Please add (2x SMJHL Draft) or an equivalent marker in your thread subject.
