Deth Klaw is super excited about being able to see places he's never been. While he's been welcomed in Anchorage and Montreal, seeing a totally new county is very exciting. For a wasteland creature like himself, seeing parts of the world that aren't desolate and full of mutated creatures is a dream come true. Traveling is a pain for Klaw, though, as airport security always throws a fit about his claws, but they're a part of his body so there is nothing Deth can do about that. In a culture that spawned such mythical creatures as Godzilla, Deth was an instant hit with Japanese hockey fans and became somewhat of a local celebrity. So many fans wanting pics and autographs with Klaw makes him happy. While the match may feel a bit like a 'show' match, Klaw is always happy to share the game of hockey with others, and without fans, this whole thing wouldn't be possible so he will enjoy playing the game in japan.

option 1

sebastien regazzoni was dragged onto japanese tv with a couple of his teammates to participate in a legendary japanese game show that tests the mettle of top athletes worldwide when they come to japan. notable athletes like lionel messi and barry bonds participated on it, and now it was regazzoni's turn. he was put on a rink with a massive goal, 20 goalies, and 50 boxes within the goal. regazzoni was told to hit as many of the boxes as he could in 2 minutes. he ultimately hit 30, which wasn't bad, but that wasn't his ultimate test. regazzoni was blindfolded, and told to hit 50 slapshots in a row to see how many he'd score on a goalie. regazzoni somehow scored 15, which isn't bad considering the fact that he was blindfolded. however, his performance did not make enough buzz for him to be considered Big in Japan, not that he really cared.

Option 2:

Paul Bondage is ecstatic that he can be a part of this historic matchup in Japan. Not only has he always wanted to visit Japan, but being able to play hockey in the greatest league in the world on their ice is truly once in a lifetime. He of course is happy to win over some of the local fans and will not let this opportunity pass him by. Of course, it's still a regular season game, it's just as important as every other one when you're on the ice. Those two points are important. With that being said, he will certainly never get an opportunity like this again. He plans on making the most of it and truly enjoying every moment to its fullest. Being prepared for a hockey game is never easy, let alone when you're jetlagged multiple hours, but he's willing to push through and do everything in his ability to take full advantage of this opportunity.

Written Option 2: Your team is taking part of this seasons SHL Global Series and they start their season with 2 games in Japan because HO has heard there is untapped market potential there. How does your player feel about the trip? Is it pointless travel to play in front of neutral crowd and missing on actual home opener? Or are they just exited to see the world and thrilled about the opportunity to win over the local fans? Does all this make the game feel more like showmatch than actual regular season game?

Having already visited Japan once before, Detroit Falcons forward Teemu Salami would be thrilled to get the opportunity to visit again, should the SHL Global Series still be around when he reached the SHL. Salami has called Japan his favorite country he has visited to date. Everything from the food, the cleanliness, the safety, the efficiency, and the culture make Japan a top destination that anyone would be lucky to experience. Missing out on an actual home opener is a downside, but the pros outweigh the cons here. While the players may be playing in front of a neutral crowd, this is a great opportunity to gain even more fans as they look to convert the locals into fans of the SHL. Japanese are passionate sports fans, as seen with baseball and sumo wrestling, and there is no doubt that if they had the chance to experience the SHL they would be fans of hockey as well.

The simulation hockey league is having a world global series game set in Japan. The games will be taking place in Tokyo and following the games. The players who played in them will be on a Japanese game show. The game show that they will be playing on will be called Pokémon battles Japan. Japan has recently been working on a scientific research breakthrough where they have brought Pokémon to life using the eggs and atoms of other animals and materials. With nuclear science, efforts, and the combination of the research, they have created Pokémon. Each player will get to pick three Pokémon that they can battle with. They pick Pokémon from what they find when they are inserted into the map. The game show has created a large map, similar to hunger games. You find as many as you can and then you pick the three that you want from the total that you found.

Wolf ended up finding 11 Pokémon. Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo he found hiding in a bush, eating an empty jar of peanut butter that one of the workers must’ve left behind. Wolf ended up battling a few players and got third place on the game show.

Petr loves the idea! This will give him ample opportunity to spy and sabotage the Japanese competition. State Security will be jumping for joy at the possibilities. The SHL head office has provided Petr with the perfect cover, as it is entirely genuine! Not only can Petr secure strategic objective while there aimed at crippling the Japanese hockey machine and its development, Petr can also focus on spreading propaganda. "Oh, hockey's too expensive", "Why would you want to play such a violent sport?", "Japan will never be successful, especially in comparison to the Czechs", "The Czechs produce the greatest players in the world". Forget show match, this game is an opportunity to put Czechia where it belongs: on top! All will bow to the rightful eventual world champions, the Czech Republic. All those who have not yet, are simply delaying the inevitable and stalling for time. (Just as I am trying to bump my word count up, ironically, but righting these propaganda manifestos each time is an art.)

I would love to go to Japan and play some games there, while I already have been in the country it sure is a beautiful one and an all expenses paid trip would sure make for some nice sightseeing and food eating that I could not get in the last time I was there. Plus it is really nice to bring the message and the fun that is SHL hockey to other countries and make sure we grow our fanbases for the sport there. While of course it is always best to play in front of a hometown crowd I think the upsides of getting more fans and bringing people into the cause of our game in different places outweighs the neutral grounds of the match being played there. Plus if the global series' of other leagues has taught me anything it is that fans in those places can be amazing and cheer their heart out even if it is not "their" team directly.

Graj is happy to playing in Japan. It's always been a dream of his to visit the country and thanks to his veteran status on the squad he was able to convince team ownership and his GMs to go two days early and go explore the cities before everything was set up for the games. He loved exploring the inner city of Tokyo and being able to taste some of the excellent cuisine that Japan has to offer. He's never been a huge fan of fish but was able to taste a few fish dishes that he really enjoyed, the highlight of which being a salmon sushi that was cooked to absolute perfection alongside some delicious soy noodles and perfect sticky rice. He was also able to visit a few historical sites within the city, such as Onsen, a beautiful lake and garden with all sorts of wonderful views and hiking and walking trails.
