As this season comes to a close and probably without a cup (I’m writing this as Baltimore are down 3-1 in the finals) I do have announcement to make. S77 will be my last season with this player. It’s been a good ride, but I believe it’s time for a new start. Personally I felt that this has been the best experience I’ve had in any league despite all of the obstacles that occurred throughout my career.

A few things to note before I say my thank yous to all of those who have been with me throughout my journey.

First off, I plan on recreating at the trade deadline, to maximize my highest possible TPE. I also don’t care where I end up in the J anyway.

Next, I don’t care which team takes me in the SHL, as long as I can trust any plan you have for me. (I prefer not to ring chase this time around)

Finally, for the last season of this player, I’m staying in Baltimore. I’m not going to leave a team who just reached the challenge cup for the first time in 29 seasons, that’s not even ethical.

To Manhattan: Thank you for taking me in when most teams would not take me, largely due to trying to team up with Emi who is no longer with us. I know I had a couple of mental breakdowns that resulted in the end of my tenure there, but you have to start somewhere I guess? It’s a shame that I never got to play a game there, but I had to mention it as this was the first team that took a chance on me.

To Calgary: This one I have mixed feelings about. On one hand, this helped springboard me into being a more vocal member of the league. And on the other, Mike Izzy treated me a slave the whole time, and forced me into a forum locker room that wasn’t even active most days. Luckily there was still a lot of good eggs on that team, from Muerto to DarkCanuck, and Kenitoh. I know that we didn’t end on the best of terms, but I’m glad to see that the team is trending in the right path.

To Edmonton: When Boom brought me into this team I felt like a fresh new start was coming and it did. I made my first career all star game and scored my second career playoff OT winner but then the team suddenly decided to go into a rebuild and I ended up getting moved after only 1 season. There are a lot of greats but especially Boom made my time there so memorable. I’m glad to see her as a GM once more.

To Toronto: After the brief stint in Edmonton, this was the time to make Videl into the dominant force that she was and Toronto helped me reach that level. We had a lot of great chaps on that team, from Dextara, to Dogwood, to Valpix and Carpy. In S67, Videl had her most dominant season to date where she scored 59 goals, and dogwood broke 50, becoming the first teammates to do so. But then I made the foolish mistake to attempt to test FA which resulted in the end of my tenure there.

To New Orleans: This helped established me as a voice of reason and helped make me become more humble, and that’s largely thanks to my "Sim League Dad" in Joe K. But there was also guys such as 5urreal and enigmatic who helped make my experience in New Orleans the way it was. And along the way, I even got nominated for Jeff Dar Award, which signaled my transition to be more defensively minded. I eventually got removed because I was too old.

To Texas: This helped blossom valor from being a good player into a great player. This where Valor also started their playoff success as she reached the conference finals to the first time. But there is still a lot of great users that I got share the locker room with such as CapnCooper, Van, and NJBadApple among other's. However, as recent stuff as suggested, my age caught up to me. And resulted in a Free Agency departure as the team hit its peak.

To Baltimore: The final stop in Valor’s journey and my home IRL, I couldn’t have found such a great group in a free agency. From HHH, to wildfiremicro, to MikeLiut, to TakeTheHorizion. I feel this team is a perfect way to end my player’s legacy with a nice calm atmosphere. And I couldn’t thank everyone enough for this journey we’ve been on together.

And now a look at my players points and stats throughout her career:

Loved our time in Texas together, sadly we were not able to get you the Cup we all want.

Good luck with your next player, hopefully you will have at least the same success as Videl.
