3. Which are your three favorite Charity Auction items? Why those?

My favourite Charity Auction items are, and it was hard to narrow down the list, in no particular order:

1. Win a poem written by Reno's friend who just had foot surgery

Obviously, this leads to a lot of questions. Perhaps they are a well known poet, and for you to have a poem written for you by someone with a professional standing could be very valuable. Perhaps they do not know iambic pentameter, and their poetry could be all over the place, leading to some wild form and good laughs. Or, and I hope this is the case, the poet is all hyped up on the good pain medication after their foot surgery and the poem is going to be quite insane and also quite entertaining.

2. The Ugliest Blanket Imaginable

The best blankets I've ever had were handcrafted and were built to last. Also all the blankets never leave my house so even if they were ugly, only my family would know about it. This is a great gift, a handmade blanket that's also ugly? And most likely very comfortable. Jess seems like a great blanket maker.

3. Shrine to your SHL Player

Look, we all have a player that we like very much. We put a lot of hard work in building them up and enjoy their successes, both team and personal. To have that in your own personal shrine that you can keep on your bedside table to be the first thing you see when you wake up and the last thing you see before you go to sleep would be an amazing add to any decor.

Winning an award is not easy. To win two (or more) seasons in row is even more impressive. Which one of the back to back award wins you are most impressed with and why? Can be written about any award, including team and user awards. Below is the link to Portal where you can start looking for back to back winners.

The award which is the most important and perhaps hardest to do, has to be winning the SMJHL Defenseman of the Year award. I believe it's only been won back to back three times in the entire existence of the league, and Ace Lightning was lucky enough to win it in his third and fourth season with the Nevada Battleborn. Very impressive!

If I were to form an RPG party with four of my teammates, I'd go with:

Carter Stankoven - The Stank Tank

Carter’s physical presence will make him the ideal candidate to stand at the front of battles, absorbing damage and protecting the rest of the team.

Jennifer Huh - The Healer

Jennifer is one of the heartbeats of our team. As a Healer, Jennifer will keep the party in peak condition, mending wounds and restoring health during and after battles.

Mark Jagerson - The DPS (Damage Per Second)

Mark will take on the role of the DPS. His ability to adapt and exploit enemy weaknesses will be invaluable in taking down our rivals, ensuring our success.

Pohler Beargeron - The Mage

A big fricken white polar bear as a Mage? Yeah, I think so. This will will allow him to harness powerful spells and magical abilities to support the party, all while being a fricken polar bear. Hell yeah.

6. If you had to form RPG party with 4 of your team mates, who would you pick and which role would they play?

This is a fun idea. I know "RPG" can be interpreted in many ways, but since I only play JRPGs myself and know those best, I'll pick four roles that could fit into the classic Final Fantasy games. We'll have a strong, physical attacker type (e.g. Sabin in FF6) and then a paladin type (e.g. Cecil in FF4) and then I'll pick your typical white mage and black mage to complete the group. There could be more different roles, but I'll limit myself to those. I will also pick the S77 WPG roster since some of them have left the team. For the physical attacker I will pick the player who had the most penalty minutes which was Langston Hardison-Laurent, because why not (it was very close because Christian Kinsinger was only 1 PIM behind). Lias Ekholm-Gunnarsson will be the paladin who did a bit of everything and also led the team in points. Mikko Rashford will be our black mage, because he led the team in hits and also wasn't so bad in total points either. Since I have no idea who else to pick as a white mage I'll pick myself, the goalie, since I have to 'save' the team all the time, even if that didn't work out so well last season.

Team Spotlight series brought us some quality graphics and media, one of them being FuriousChicken’s series on draft numbers of each SHL team, highlighting seasons, rounds, positions and teams they made their picks from. All in all there is a lot of cool data to anyone who likes charts. Personally I was most interested to see where each team drafted their prospects. While most teams draft from almost anywhere there are clearly some teams that feed into certain SHL teams, as shown on the last graph of the linked article. Do you think the league is in a healthy place when it comes to pipelines for SHL players or should we aim for even more even spread among teams? Or maybe you would like to see even more players carrying on their careers with teammates from SMJHL?

I found the so-called chaos chart very interesting, too. If you look closely enough you can identify some connections between SMJHL and SHL teams, especially the thicker lines. I wouldn't say we have clear pipelines or even something like 'farm teams', but some SHL teams draft more often from certain SMJHL teams. A lot of SMJHL GMs have their players on SHL teams and if they're involved in those teams' war rooms and help scouting it can't be avoided. However, the more we mix teams up, the better. Let's avoid too strong pipelines and let players meet more new people in the SHL.

4. Cal Juice is the best player that you shouldn't pick in fantasy because while he's an amazing player who is going to score at least 40 goals this season the rest of the team can't handle his talent so every time he passes them the puck it leads to a turnover. Lots of goals but no assists unfortunately.
5. I've been waiting for this moment for years. What I'll do is create a trading card platform to earn the trust of the SHL development team and database workers, then when I have the database permissions I'll use that to write a script to slowly take fractions of pennies out of Luke's bank every time he makes a transaction and over time that'll lead to millions of dollars in my bank.
6. I would pick Lime because Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) is one of the top 3 most attractive men in the world (the other two being Tom Holland and Adam Driver, Patty because he's just been a cool person for a long time, Nike because he is our fearless leader and Sharky because literally tricked me for months into thinking he was actually JT because of his discord username
7. I think the only PT that should be changed is the mock draft because it's the only one that I forget to do season after season. It's nothing wrong with the PT, I'm just not tapped into the draft stuff whatsoever so when I get to my desk and start to do PTs that Sunday I always get deer in the headlights syndrome and end up not posting anything

The Hall of Fame is reserved for only the best, which means many are left outside. So now we need something for the rest of us, what would the other hall be called and how would people be selected for it? Would you let people be members of both Halls?

+2 TPE I think the hall for the rest of us should be Hall of You Care A Lot. Because really SHL is just about putting in effort and getting back what you put into it, unfortunately the sim just doesn't respect that effort a lot of time and people who spend nearly all of their free time on here don't get to feel that joy of winning the cup or making the hall of fame. My idea is basically if the committee can tell that this person/player really cares about the league and put a lot of effort into their player then they get to go into the Hall of You Care A Lot. No gatekeeping, no "they might have cared enough", you care a lot and you're in!

I really like the concept of our league-wide charity drives. Everyone can put up stuff for auction and there's someone who will bid on everything. What's available depends on people's talents and passions and I love to see everything that went up for auction.

If I have to pick three though, I'll start by saying I'm most excited to hear Shiamus' cover. They didn't include a guideline on what the song could be so it could really be anything.

Then, I grew up with Pokemon and just find pokemon cards really neat. I think that lore's idea for their auction is imaginative and fun. People seem to think so too because the bids on those auctions have gotten really high. Lore came up with a good concept that I honestly wouldn't have thought of.

Finally, the crown jewel of this season's drive auctions is the asron bot name. I knew it was going to be popular, after all you get to name a tool that will be used league-wide and it seems like it's a permanent name as well, but I didn't expect it to make as much money as it did. It's at 350 bucks at the moment I am writing this PT and will probably keep going up.

I assume Adam Prpich will be our representative for the All-Star game. He's the only one on our team who was able to hit 100 points and he's been a good player all around for us so I think he'd deserve his spot on the all star roster. He not only got 100 points but he also managed to block over 40 shots and register over 60 hits, which are good numbers for the guys we expect to be our sniper. Faceoffs are also an unappreciated statistic in the league and he ranked pretty high in the SHL in that department. Let's go Adam, make us proud.
