S78 mPT #1: Sometimes it is just nice to be a spectator Due: Sunday, August 18th @ 11:59 PM PST

Jarrod Lakemore has always been fascinated skateboarding. He never had a skateboard growing up, but he did play a lot of Tony Hawk Pro Skater, so he's familiar with the names of various tricks and respects how the skaters keep pushing the limits of what is possible.

When the olympics roll around every 4 years the sport you will catch Zeus Storm watching is womens gymnastics and beach volleyball. The talent they possess is unlike any other and there is nothing more gratifying then watching women run and jump and hit balls and flip over beams. Oh and they aren't too bad to look at either for good ole' Zeus Storm.

"I can't deny I had a lot of interest watching Rugby during the Olympic games, I have not paid so much attention to American football but I understand the hard hitting, fast pace, intense action that goes with it along with how things lately are starting to not feel like it with rules and random penalties. Rugby felt like what American Football viewers want to see and was interesting to see, both men and women can compete and overall gave a new look at the sport."

I love to watch the gymnastics in the summer (Simone Biles is the love of my life, sorry BFine) and in the winter I am glued to the TV while watching all of the ice skating competitions. Living the Yuri on Ice lifestyle vicariously through them.

I'm a huge fan of baseball! Detractors say that baseball is boring and takes too long, but I feel very differently. Unlike other sports, there is no time period, so up until the final out there is always a chance for the losing team to come back and win, which is super exciting. I love baseball .Smile

Bishop Van Apeldoorn loves bobsledding. It has been his favorite Olympic sport ever since he was a kid. The insane speeds they reach has always fascinated him.

This year I watched a lot of the volley ball which is always fun. I also enjoy the track events which canada did quite well at this year. For winter I pretty much watch it all.

I played a lot of volleyball as a teenager, and rowed quite a bit as well before injuries caught up to me for both sports, so those are both close to home for me, but just from the nature of what time they were on before work I watched a lot of Judo, and I have yet to figure out the rules, like at all, and I think that's neat.

Kristian Seppanen's favourite sport, other than hockey, is basketball because Kristian Seppanen loves blocking shots, and in basketball, a core defensive function is blocking the basketball. Seppanen believes that if he played basketball, he would lead the league in blocks.

The favourite olympic sport that John Hopoate loved to enjoy was the break dancing. It was great to see his home country making some fabulous strides in the urban dance environment.

Shadow Fenix's favorite sport to watch is of course, floor hockey on ice. Separate from ice hockey, it gives a new variety to the sport, while still being the same sport. It's the same, but different. It's confusing, honestly.

Nathaniel loves to watch American football. There’s just something about the game that is awesome, and it’s always entertaining. Sundays off can be great days of just watching games all day.

American Football, as Hannah is especially rooting for her 49ers to win the Super Bowl this season! But she's also worried taht the 49ers has the Super Bowl loss hangover...

Skateboarding is pretty rad to watch. The things that skaters are able to do with the board are amazing to see and the overall vibe of the sport is super positive. Others sports are so negative with how they view what the athletes do.

Since arriving in North America, Matviy has enjoyed watching some of the more niche sports that aren't as prominent in the Ukraine. Along with disc golf and mini-golf tournaments, one such sport is pickleball. It's a combined fascination of the sport itself and the incredible boom it has experienced since seemingly appearing out of nowhere and now having the backing of huge celebrities and sports stars across the globe. Maybe one day Cajabi will organise an SMJHL/SHL offseason pickleball league.
