I think, given the prompt, many of us will think about the awards. I plan to go in a different direction. I think we should be able to vote, as a community, on how much TPE we get per point task. I vote 100 to get us started. Let's see just how far we can push TPE inflation. I'm sure there's an economist somewhere who'd love to use us as a reference.

I think that combining the tasks is perfectly okay, but we should extend the amount of time that is given to complete it. So if we give 1 week for each, we should give 2 weeks for the combined task.
Just have to make sure we keep the graders in mind as well as it can be a heavy task to grade.

I think we should vote on everything. Let’s make the SHL a democracy. Give the people a voice and recognize our choices! Let’s all Vote!
*Thank you Nokazoa and Squid for the sigs!

I'm pleased with our current level of democracy, as well as the split between CW & ASW. Some of the activities feel a bit stale, but I unfortunately don't have any ideas to replace them. I am miffed that I haven't gotten any milestones in the last couple of seasons, so those limits may be a bit high.

I think we have an opportunity to really get everyone involved with certain things. Vote on the best GM, the best transaction of the season, the best draft pick in the past coup-le of years. this can even be a PT task, where people have to look up and get more involved in the league

I really like the idea of seperating the tasks and having more tasks to do over an extended period. The issue arises when things like allstar announcements arent done until after ASW closes. A higher standard for these departments is required to make the split tasks work.

My opinion is that I wouldn't want to me making the final decision here given that three votes separate the option. But really this should just be a data driven solution. Have active members to CW/ASW been complete at a higher, or lower percentage since separating? The people who dread writing long post are probably not the people deeply invested in this.

I do like the idea of a player voted MVP, or players choice award, but I'm not sure voting for other things would be good. Could take longer and harder to get a good majority consensus.

On the CW ans ASW poll, they are two different tasks why would you combine them? Makes no sense. Championship week if for end of the season stuff and All-Star week is well about the All-Star game. I must admit, I must have joined after All-Star week last year of just don't remember it. So, how would you combine the two? If the thing is that All-Starr is too much then just eliminate it and make the CW week worth more. Looking at ASW in the archive, it looks cool.
As far as voting on things. I think voting on more things, even if not binding that HO makes decisions on would be a good things. I saw others mention about relocation and I think it is a good idea. Things can affect the fine of all the players, so why not let them have a part of the say even if a percentage? So, like 4 votes are HO and community is 5. Input might even change a mind or two at HO. Code: Word Count:179

I think the league should vote on player of the week. It would be a cool addition to the season and bring more focus on the results of the sim. Could just be a quick poll with the top performers of the week and the league voting for one. Only thing is I'm not sure FHM can be sorted to see player stats by week. Oh well.

I'm all for tasks being combined. As someone who is basically inactive, but wants the opportunity, I'd love to sit down and hammer one thing out rather than try to be on the site multiple times. I know I'm the minority here, but it would simplify my life.

id like to make more passes available for purchase for those of us with league jobs, similar to what is the case in the ISFL, so that i wouldnt be concerned about tasks as much....

My experience with public voting on awards is that you get a lot of people voting based on friendship or name recognition and a few people voting on merits.
