At this point in the season, you should be starting to get into the groove with your teammates. But it's not all about the chemistry when you're on the ice - it's the tunes you listen to in the locker room before you get out there that really help you bond.
Written Option: List 5 songs that are on your team's pre-game playlist, and tell us why they're played (150 word min.)
Graphic Option: Design the album cover for a CD-version of your team's pre-game playlist. Has to include at least the team name and logo.
Teamless Option: As above but it's your workout playlist.
You will receive 3 TPE for fulfilling all the requirements for any of the options. (You only need to do one of the options to get the credit and wont get additional credit even if you do more than one).
All responses are due on Sunday, September 1st at 11:59 PST. NOTE: IF YOU SUBMIT/EDIT AFTER THE DEADLINE YOU WILL RECEIVE REDUCED/NO TPE.

The QCC playlist is driven partially by the music league I run out of the server because I'm an idiot that never developed a music taste until recently. (Hence why I always eat it when I submit something I actually like.)
Song #1 is simple, Seven Nation Army, THE quintessential jock jam of the modern era. And also a good song on its own merit.
Song #2 is Welcome to the Black Parade because everyone in the locker room likes it (it won its round in the league by a landslide)
Song #3 is when they give me the aux cord and I put on Empty Threat by CHVRCHES (one of my two fav songs from my fav group) then get zero votes (let's be real it's also just not a good pre-game song)
Song #4 is when I steal back the aux cord and go with Stick Season by Noah Kahan as a crowd pleaser (also as a Vermont sports fan it has taken OVER the scene. Even if I don't actually like it that gives it sentiment)
Song #5 is La Machine A Scorer because we wanna hear it more out there >:3

Song 1: Centuries by Fall Out Boy because I'll leave my mark in the league for years
Song 2: Firefly by Jim Yosef for mental support and because it's great
Song 3: Warriors by Imagine Dragons to play to the whole team to boost morale coming into a losing battle
Song 4: I'm Still Standing by Elton John because I'll keep on playing for the cup and I'll keep on pushing
Song 5: The Formula 1 Theme because it's a banger and why not have another only instrumental song blasting through my earbuds
I have a very long list of victory and morale boosting pump-up songs for myself and the team but these are just a couple. Music definitely helps anyone with not the best confidence or determination in the pre-game and warm-ups that we can do this. And we coming for the cup.

Too young for this shit
song 1: the wellerman (the remixed version or whatever) - our team is named after boats and we like to go onto the ice with sea shanties bc why not
song 2: song 2 by blur. the joke is there but it's also a very good sports song so we like it for that reason
song 3: wagwan delilah. @Gwdjohnson forced us to listen to it and used his ex-gm powers to add it to the playlist without anyone noticing. fire gabe.
song 4: i'm shipping up to boston by the dropkick murphys. we are not from boston but it is a very nautically themed song, and the dropkick murphys really like hockey so that helps
song 5: rock n roll star by oasis. i snuck it on there in honor of the band (maybe) reuniting.
this playlist has helped us start off the season better than i think any of us expected so we're hoping to keep the good times rolling
ty to @High Stick King @EvilAllBran and @Ragnar for the sigs
Song #1 is Tear in My Heart by Twenty One Pilots. Tear in My Heart is a really heavy song and is really good workout music, really because of great chord progression. Twenty One Pilots in general is great.
Song #2 is Before You Go by Lewis Capaldi. For some similar reasons too. It is a very heavy and honestly pretty sad song. Like TOP, Lewis makes really great music overall.
Song #3 is Teenagers by My Chemical Romance. This is genuinely such an awesome rock song by an incredible band, MCR, and it's just really, really good music.
Song #4 is Jesus of Suburbia by Green Day, another really awesome rock song by another really awesome band, Green Day. Works really well as workout music. This whole genre does, to be honest.
Song #2 is Aerials by System of a Down. More of the same, still really great rock by a really great rock band. System of a Down is Lucas' favorite band.
Toasty’s playlist is designed to get the team pumped up and aggressive, so it focuses on slightly heavy tracks. Not so heavy that the teammates hate it, but heavy enough to set the aggressive tone.
Track 1: Militarie Gun “Will Logic” is from a band everyone is familiar with now. They set the tone without being too abrasive from the start.
Track 2: King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard “Motor Spirit” is a long Motörhead-esque metal song that could build in the background while the team gets ready individually.
Track 3: Drug Church “Grubby” provides some melodic hardcore to even out the middle of the playlist, but keep the energy up.
Track 4: Angel Du$t “Very Aggressive” gets the team in the mindset to play aggressive.
Track 5: Bad Nerves “You’ve Got The Nerve” is a fast punky song that sets the tone when about to walk out of the tunnel.
We're taking it back to the 2000s for majority of this Playlist
#1 Eminem - lose yourself
Not much to say with this one, if it doesn't get you going nothing will
#2 Fort Minor - Remember the name
Again another timeless pump up song
#3 CKY - Escape from Hellview
Found this band from viva la bam and never fails to get me going, not everyone's favorite but doesn't matter when I have the aux
#4 Highly Suspect - Lydia
Great song also one of the coolest music videos rumored to have been completed by a professional free diver in one take. This one should get you ready to run through a brick wall
#5 Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff
You want to set the tone...this is how you set the tone. Make the other team play 3 inches shorter from the opening puck drop.
Honorable mention - Cotton Eye Joe because who doesn't get at least a little amped when that comes on over the PA system.
#1: Jump Around by House of Pain, which helps hype the team up and get their muscles moving
#2: Master of Puppets cover by Trivium, a really heavy cover and fast of an already pretty heavy song. They originally used the original by Metallica, until Darby was able to find this cover
Can't Be Touched by Roy Jones Jr., for pretty similar reasons to Jump Around but with the added bonus of having the chorus act as a chant that the team can say to themselves to get more hyped.
I Won't Back Down by Johnny Cash, because sometimes you need a more light song to calm the nerves, and besides you can't go wrong with Johnny singing about not backing down from anything
Remember the Name by Fort Minor, just because it's a song that says that the team wants their players to be remembered.
While a few of the players have their personal own playlists, these are the ones that the team themselves have decided to be thier big team playlist.
Pop/Star by KDA because I can and Kpop will never die
Lets Ram It by the LA Rams in like the 1980s. Because Kiwi especially loves ramming things. With her head. Most of the fights she wins cause she headbutts her opponent in the face.
Therapy by All Time Low for a little middle playlist vibe session and cause Kiwi could probably use therapy or anger management at least
Wouldn't It Be Nice by the Beach Boys cause 50 first dates is Kiwi's favorite movie and Adam Sandler is SO funny
It's Been by Barenaked Ladies but is the "its been" part over and over and over again. Kiwi and team don't actually listen to it. They pump it into the opposing teams locker room for psychological warfare. So while NBB is getting served sushi and playing slots in their LR. the other team listens to two words over and over again while they lace up skates in a broom closet.
Its a total Markoolio Bonanza in the lockerroom. Not a lot of people understand the lyrics, but the groove and hype is translateabel all over the world.
#1Två snubbar och ett kex. Translates to Two dudes and a cracker (saltine). Its the starter of the day, getting the neck swinging to the rythm, an easy start to build up the hype.
#2 Rocka på! Translates to Rock on! The build up continues, now every part of the body starts to move with the rythm.
#3 Kassanova. Translates to Cassanova. The most forward and outgoing players are up and dancing. the hype is real.
#4 Mera mål. Translates to More Goals. This is where the peak is. Everyone sing along even tho they dont understand, or speak the language. The sounding out sounds is the glue to great passes on ice.
#5 Jag orkar inte mer. Translates to I cant take it no more. Is more about never giving up and is the song that is meant to get the focus right and put the head in the game.
Bonus
#6 Gör det igen. Translates to Do it again. its what has been played 23 times so far. The victory song!
#1 {We Are The Champions - Queen} The obvious number one since we are the champions (LETSSS GOOOO WHALERSSS)
#2 {It's Still Rock And Roll To Me - Billy Joel} We will rock this league, and roll with the punches
#3 {We Built This City - Starship} We built this Whalers franchise, and we are going to do amazing things with it
#4 {Livin' On a Prayer - Bon Jovi} We have had some rough moments, but we will make it though, because we are champions
#5 {The Final Countdown - Europe} A nicely timed song to start of the game, as the fans begin the countdown till the puck drops
Armed with this absolutely amazing playlist(mostly older music) The Vancouver Whalers are ready to become the champions again, they will battle through the loses, and celebrate in the wins, but either way, they are champions. Or at least, they were last year, GOOOO WHALERSSSS.
Halfway through the SMJHL season, the Raptors have become religious regarding pre-game hype songs. These five songs make the playlist every game day through the highs and lows.
Song #1: Darude - Sandstorm, which is self-explanatory, if you've ever heard the song you want to run through a brick wall for your teammates as it brings so much energy and focus.
Song #2: Sheck Wes - Mo Bamba, because it gets everyone jumping up and down and gets the Raptors barn rowdy right before game time as it blasts through the PA system.
Song #3: Kalwi & Remi - Explosion, this one is specifically for Nathangus McExplosion as it gets him going and he busts out some pretty nifty dance moves.
Song #4: Superman Theme Song - which usually gets played when Clark Kent is in the bathroom and we want to summon him before we go on the ice. We're also hoping to one day see his superpowers show up on the ice and hopefully fly (literally) past the defense.
Song #5: Vegedream - Ramenez La Coupe A La Maison, the French national soccer team song when they won the World Cup, this is one that I brought to the playlist when I came into the locker room, it puts us in the mood to win the cup and bring the cup home to Colorado!
