S78 mPT #4: Charity Time Due: Sunday, September 8th @ 11:59 PM PST
#31

Justin Time was a menace in the J. Holding a GAA average in that league below 3 for over 3 seasons is one hell of a feat. Definitely worth some praise if you ask me.

Justin Time is by all means one of the best to ever lace them up, but Ramen has the added benefit of also being one of the best people this league is lucky enough to have around. Truly someone who's legacy will be remembered off the ice as much as on the ice.

I guess I am one of those weirdos who never considers the 'player' and just considers the person. I am also sad that I can't say that I know Ra well but in my times talking to them I really appreciate how blunt and precise they are. As someone with ADHD, folks who beat around the bush often times confuse me but when I talk to Ra I feel like they understand me and my context without me needing to explain it. Ra is a sweetheart and I wish them nothing but kindness Smile

I'm gonna talk about his IIHF Career, one year in particular that stands out to me.  S74. Which wasn't USA's greatest IIHF run but it certainly was Justin's. Let's take a look..

4 Shutouts in 9 GP (6 if you include the Preseason games)
1.60 GAA
.945 Save %

Probably one if not the best IIHF performance for a goaltender unbelievable run my man, too bad you got upset in the knockout stage!

Disclaimer: I didn't research any other goalie to see if the above statement was true or not.

Justin Time has the best name on the shl. This is accurate. I used science to prove it. No contest, the name is the name of all names. All name team. Big ups.

Other than a pleasant scouting conversation for the J draft I don't know Ramen well but their reputation is impeccable and I hope out paths cross more in the future. Justin Time is also a top tier name.

Besides being a truly amazing human being. I love the fact he had only once in his SHL and smjhl career played below .500 hockey in each league, both timws it was his rookie season. Even during the building years in Edmonton he was elite.

I haven’t met Ramen, but I’ve heard a lot about their involvement with the IIHF, and that they’re super dedicated and make other players want to engage more - that’s no small thing c:

One of the most interesting stats about Justin is that he got his highest game rating came during his rookie season, could that mean he peaked during his first season?

Justin Time genuinely has a case for greatest goalie of all time.
2x 1st team All-Star
2x 2nd team All-Star
3rd team All-Star
2x Challenge Cups (with 2 separate teams)
Mike Honcho
John McBride
4 more McBride noms
Sarmad Khan nom
Anton Razov nom
IIHF Best Goalie

If he keeps it up for a couple more seasons, he would cement himself as the G.O.A.T. In my eyes.
(I also didn’t do any research beyond him so don’t @ me.)

I think Justin Time has always been pretty solid international goalie which of course matters most because national teams are bigger than club organisations. His seven wins last season were impressive with USA.

Justin Time in an incredible goaltender with a very fantastic goalie name. He's already coming up in conversations for this season's awards as he is doing some very impressive work!
He's got a great team in front of him which helps as well but that's no slight to their hard work.

A fun fact about Ramen is he beat me to win a Cup, but wasn't a dick about it. That's a rare thing in this league, so that's cool. Justin Time is also a pretty good goalie (except in IIHF, woof USA on the struggle bus)

Only one stat/fact?!

A GAA of under 3.00 in 7 of the last 8 seasons, as well as 40 or more wins in 7 of the last 8 as well. Not to mention a staggering 8 shutouts in 56 games during S73 while with the Blizzard.

Time is just incredible. (get it? because Justin Time? I'll see myself out)

I love RamenAmen as much as the next IIHF enjoyer, but Justin Time has been Grzegorz's nemesis for his whole career. When Edmonton knocked LA out of the playoffs a few seasons in a row, who was in net? Justin Time. Now that SFP is our arch-rival and the Battle of California means more than it ever has, who's their backstop? Justin Time. His regression is a few seasons ahead of Grzegorz's, but he's never more than a half-step behind in the personal stats and is always at least one step ahead in the wins column.

@RAmenAmen I love you. But I also kinda hate you. But I love you more.
