Dogwood Maple has decided to hang up the skates and retire from SHL.

My journey started in the S57 SMJHL Entry Draft when the Maine Timber took a chance on a new create I cannot thank the wonderful people of Maine enough, and specifically @Citizen of Adraa @CementHands @Toast @SouthPaw @AgentSmith630 @sulovilen @Z-Whiz and so many others. I had a billion questions when I first started and they answered every single one without batting an eye. I spent three great seasons in Maine and can still hear our incredible goal siren song (Timber - Pitbull, feat. Ke$ha) from the old days.

In the S58 SHL Entry Draft, Hamilton grabbed me up and I started my career with the Steelhawks in S60. I was fortunate to be a part of two Championship teams (S61 and S63) in Hamilton as a part of my seven total seasons spent there. Huge shout out to @Hallsy @nour @JumpierPegasus @5ympathies @Rotti @bluesfan55 for all their help and advice and welcoming me into the Hamilton locker room. I had a wonderful time as a Steelhawk and I'm glad we were able to take home some hardware during my Hamiltonian Era.

After Hamilton, I moved 40 miles down Lake Ontario to Toronto and spent seven seasons as a North Star, split over two different stretches. Gotta start with @Wally @mcgriddleluver @Carpy48 for all the wonderful times in the Toronto locker room and the success that we had. I'll always have incredibly fond memories of my time there, especially as it coincided with my TPE peak and best offensive seasons. Just a really great group who helped me tremendously.

@Muerto then brought me to Calgary for a two-year stretch, which saw back-to-back playoff berths and a trip to the second round in S70. We had a fearsome forward trio and were consistently one of the best offensive teams in the league during my time as a a Dragon. I've been on a few teams across the sim leagues with a lot of the Dragons staff/players and it's always been a blast.

My final stop was in Edmonton, thanks to @HabsFanFromOntario @Eggcracker for letting me kick around for a few seasons and allowing me to finish my career on my own terms.

And of course I cannot leave out my wonderful Swedish family. We brought home two IIHF gold medals, three silvers, and a bronze as a member of the Tre Kronor and had an incredible time in the locker room. @StamkosFan @Halkohol @Spartan @Canadice @sköldpaddor @SchwarzNarr @Reno what a run we had

I know I'm forgetting folks, but immense thanks to everyone who lent a hand during this nearly four year span (October 28, 2020 - September 10, 2024)
