Earls History/Thoughts Post SHL Draft (2x Draft Media)
#1

Earl Biggins, the highly anticipated SMJHL 1st pick is selected 20th pick in the SHL draft by Winnipeg Aurora!  Aurora

With the history of Earl Biggins you'd be surprised to know he was not even expected to get drafted in the SMJHL. With starting to play hockey at such a late age he never anticipated even the thought of going all the way. Earl has worked hard to achieve what he has done and now that he has officially been drafted to the SHL he has shown and even more determined mind set.

We asked Biggins what Motivates him to be great and in the position he is in now? Earl Replied "I started playing hockey at the age of 14. Never once did I skate until my family had to reside in Germany. A small little town with nothing to do but, they had an ice rink. so my dad and I started playing hockey together and at the age of 16 my father Bobby Biggins had suddenly passed away and I promised my father Bobby Biggins I would be great some day and boy would pops be proud." A touching story indeed here folks.

We also asked Biggins a couple more questions regarding his first year in the J and some other goofy things.

What helps you get through tough situations on and off the ice Biggins? "Well as we all know I was drafted at the same time as my childhood friend Hotdog Lunch and the things that get me through the tough times is I print a picture out of him as big as a poster and I cut out the mouth and I feed him Microwaved hot dogs anytime I get upset and it always cheers me up."

Wow what a weird way to deal with hard times Biggins why are you force feeding microwaved hotdogs to a picture cut out of Hotdog Lunch? "Well its funny you should ask but him and I have not talked since the "incident". and this incident is something I do not want to discuss at this time because there is not enough time in the day to explain this said "incident" we can talk about that another time on another day".

Okay very interesting Biggins... (What a weird guy, the reporter said under her breath.) anyways a couple more questions here for you Biggins could you tell us what your biggest fear is off the ice or on the ice? "Absolutely, my biggest fear off the ice is running out of hotdogs in my fridge. It's such an easy protein filled snack and its the perfect shape to eat like a handheld snack. My biggest fear on the ice is not fulfilling my game time ritual."

Do we dare ask you what your game...time...ritual is Biggins? "Well matter of fact I would love to explain exactly what I do. So on game days the first thing I do is get a giant dutch oven and put it on the stove halfway full of water. As I am getting ready once the water starts to boil I throw 12 hotdogs in there. Once the skins are split they are ready to go and I take them out and put them in a container where they can be kept warm for a couple hours. I then let the boiled water cool off and I take Peanut butter protein in a shaker cup and pour the hot dog wate....

Okay okay Biggins enough we do not need to hear about all that anymore!(as the reporter starts to gag.)

One last question for you Biggins so we can be done with this interview. How do you feel about the team you were drafted too? "I feel good I have one of my teammates with me and it should be easy to adjust to the guys in the locker room as long as they can handle my weirdness I think it will be a great fit. I'm going to further my career with the Mutes for a couple more seasons and develop more and hopefully chase a championship with them before coming to Aurora.

Well that's all the time we have today for Biggins and was that a really odd interview. I'm sure everyone is very interesting where this character arch is going to go and want to know more about him and we shall find out more once he gets into the SHL. In due time.
