I, Jumbobone19, was drafted by Colorado in the S54 SMJHL draft. I quickly realized I really enjoyed the game and sim. As I was helping more and more out, @LordBirdman was the coGM when I joined the team. In S56, LordBirdman was promoted to GM and was looking for a co now. I applied with the hope of getting the job. Birdman selected me to become the Co. Birdman showed me how important bringing in the right users/players into the team to make it successful. And Colorado has produced some of the best users on the site in my opinion. And Birdman was great at finding those users. But I was more of a statiscally minded person so naturally I kind of took more to managing the sim, tactics and lines. It was a great combo.
During my tenure as co with Birdman, we won the Division twice, and we made the playoffs every season (all teams made playoffs lol). We lost in the playoffs in the 2nd round all 4 seasons though. In S58, Colorado gave Quebec City the toughest challenge. The series was decided by a Game 7. QCC won and went on to win the Four Star Cup.

LordBirdman stepped down as GM at the end of S59. So I decided to apply and got the promotion to GM of Colorado in S60. I was so grateful that @Ruggsy came on board with me as CoGM for my entire tenure as GM. We were another great combo as a GM Duo.
My overall plan was to draft well and to always make the team as competitive as possible. While we had some questionable holes in roster. We still managed to have some great seasons over the 8 seasons. We never actually won the 4 Star Cup which was is obviously always the goal every season. But I was still happy with every team we put out there.
We won the Division 4 of of the 8 seasons. We finished 2nd in the league 3 times in S61, S64, and S66.
In S61 we made it to Round 3, the conference finals for the first time during my tenure. But we had to go up against the #1 team Vancouver, who beat us and won the Four Star Cup after.
In S64 we made it to Round 3 but faced...#1 Newfoundland and lost. Newfoundland went on to win the Four Star Cup
In S66 once again we made it to round 3 and faced #1 Nevada and lost. Nevada went on to win the Four Star Cup.
A very clear trend going on and We just couldn't catch a break. Couldn't take out the #1 team. But we fought and fought hard every step of the way.

I am very honored to have been GM of Colorado for so long and to have had what I call a succesful tenure. I was able to bring some great users in and to watch them do some great things in the league is so awesome. The goal of GMs of SMJHL is to try to create an interest in the league so the users stick around and contribute to it in a positive way. And with that I feel like I did my job.
