S79 mPT #1: Lets Try This Again Due: Sunday, October 20th @ 11:59 PM PST

I would argue that Montreal is not likely to win the Cup. Montreal has been underperforming for the past five seasons, and although they make good moves, they haven't shown much signs of improvement.

For: Montreal wins the cup.

It's charity season so it's time that we share something with those who wouldnt be able to experience something like winning a cup themselves. The cup must be the greatest gift of all!

Why bet against anything else. The man is an unstoppable force. better against him would just be straight up wrong.

I can never see Montreal winning the cup this season for specifically one reason. Both Montreal and Edmonton were trying their best to tank to last last season in hopes to get the first overall pick, and Montreal managed to tank harder despite Edmonton playin the worst lines known to man.

FOR: Montreal wins the cup.

I just want this to happen because it'd be excellent chaos energy. What's TPE? What's having a functional team? What's the point of earning and increasing your attributes if you can be readily beaten by a last place team? It'd also get all of the "Quebec IIHF" memes off to a rip-roaring start and a topic of conversation for the coming dozen seasons. Maybe the Thunderdome would be re-invigorated by it.

Thanks @Amidships!

FOR: For first time since S71, Hodor wont have most blocked shots

Why? Because regression comes for us all, and 8 seasons is a long time for any player. I feel like now is a really good time for someone to finally take that crown from the aging Hordor.

Philadelphia finishes 3rd or worse in the division

Well clearly this is against. We will either get 2nd in the division or blow it all up. Super simple stuff if you think about it.

No chance this team is loaded up and has awesome rookies that are ready to step up and compete. They will be in tough with Tampa this season again but I have a hard time seeing them not being in the top 2 of the division.

Against: Max Carnage will win second Mexico in a row

He's gonna win whatever the Mexico is a trophy for but it's gonna get renamed to a different country, like he'll win the Cambodia trophy or something idk I think that would be pretty funny

For: New Orleans makes it to the Challenge Cup finals

With Blade Hunter on New Orleans, we’re stronger than ever, ready for the Challenge Cup finals. I’m dishing passes, crushing hits like a Mack truck, and scoring goals. This team’s unstoppable, and I’m leading us straight to victory!

FOR : May O'Nayse will win the Ideen Fallah Trophy

There is many reasons why I'm for this to happen. First of all, it's a member of my team so I'm always going to be rooting for them. Also, if May wins the MVP award, it will most likely also mean that we're competitive again as a team

I think Montreal is the strongest team in decades and will beat every team in every game. Forget what happened 3 or 4 seasons ago that is in the past. They are cool now I think

For: Max Carnage will win second Mexico in row

Lets face it a new top player is here to reign over the league. Carnage will almost certainly maintain this title because not only is he incredibly dominant as a player but the team is a loss without him.

For:Toronto finishes regular season as best team in the East.

I truly think Toronto has a legitimate chance to finish the regular season as the best team in the east. They have a number of positives working for them. Firstly, they are team that has a unique identity and have commited to a playstyle that has a shot of dominating. In addition to that their division is either youthful and not quite there yet in montreal, rebuilding under new management in hamilton, or older and on the downturn of player peaks in New England and Buffalo.

For first time since S71, Hodor wont have most blocked shots

This one right here. We all have our time in the spotlight, but mr blocks himself will inevitably be upstaged this year. A new king will be crowned
