It is well known that Willow is aggressively against the media because she views them as pests and annoying, but even she will have some fun with the social media team because she knows they are just some college kids trying to make a career. The current trend with the Panthers social media marketing is doing these challenge videos with players and Willow does one with Lias where both players alternate wearing noise canceling headphones while the other tries to figure out what the other is saying. Willow likes doing this because she has a very dry sense of humor and can make up ridiculous things off the top of her head and generate some clicks for the department. The other thing she loves to do is make those ridiculous gifs that you see on those gif keyboards when you type in players names, doing things from throwing popcorn into her mouth or holding up a sign that says “Go team,” things like that.

Written Option 2:

Elvar Gil-Galad is really not a big fan of the media in any forms but is required by contract to deliver a post-game presser on occasion. The Management of the Grizzlies makes all the players take turns so that everyone has to participate but Elvar will usually just sit there quietly. Even when asked a question he will just give a one-word answer until the media stops asking him. He is not a fan of being in the public eye at all at all and it may seem like Elvar is stuck up and snobbish but the reality of it, is...

Elvar is just very shy and his English isn't great yet so he struggles to find the right words when asked questions. It may come across as the Icelandic goaltender is a jerk, but he will have a lot to say someday once he has a few more years in North America and gets some practice speaking in public.

Leo Finnegan isn't the most media savvy player in the league. He's pretty professional and to the point in interviews. Although, he does show flashes of his personality at times and has no issue with helping the team out with marketing campaigns. What is good for the team is what is most important to Leo. The team gaining more attention and making money is good as the team can then use those funds to buy better infrastructure for the players on the team. They have always needed new gym equipment, maybe Leo taking part in a marketing campaign will help get that new equipment. Leo is also interested in getting personal sponsorship deals, he realizes he can only make so much money from hockey and he needs other sources of income from when he retires from the game he loves. Brands that could give him some freebies wouldn't be bad too. He likes fashion and brand-name things. The next thing on his list is a new suit so hopefully saying that in a interview will get him connected with a great tailor.

Yeah you know the team does these marketing campaigns all around town. One that stands out is where we go to pee wee rinks and suit up with those kids. We mic up and play with them. The camera men follow us around on skates too. It’s pretty funny because they can’t skate. When we are done we usually pick a kid that plays our position and do an interview with them. I like it this way because then I’m less nervous about being in the media spotlight. When I do interviews at our rink I get frazzled and sometimes fumble through my words. I always make sure to leave my Bauer chest protector on and my Sherwood elbow pads so that when I drink my prime drink the viewers will be drawn to what equipment I use. I am hoping to land a sponsorship deal soon and maybe do a commercial that’s only a few words to say like prime: for prime time. Or something like that

OPTION 1:

You make one little mistake and it starts an All put internal war between myself and our General Manager. It's a good thing I am nearly irreplaceable on the team or I would be playing for somewhere like Montreal, Chicago, or even worse Los Angeles. What is this war and how did it all start you may ask? To answer that question we need to go back at least 5 days ago, just before opening night for the San Fransico Pride.

The Pride just recently went through some changes with management. Our old GM Caleb, one of the best GM's in SHL history too, had just left the Pride to focus on personal growth. This left a vacant hole in the upper management. Ownership finally pulled the trigger just before the season started and hired our new GM Bad Wolf, whom is an excellent choice.

Now a little back story with Caleb, he always had an open door policy with the team, did matter what he was doing you had a question, a concern, or a thought on how to improve yourself or the team, stop by his office and pitch it NO MATTER WHAT HE WAS DOING.

Ever have the moment in your life when you are on auto pilot? Well...that happened just recently, I was walking into "Caleb's office" and I heard the shower running in the executive bathroom. Not thinking anything of it, we are all guys after all I walked right in. Much to my surprise he was not a he, he was a she and Caleb was no longer Caleb, Caleb was Bad Wolf and Bad Wolf had just undressed to jump into the shower.

With nothing separating us but the truth of the situation I screamed like a 10 year old girl and ran. Bad Wolf who must have been a track star when she was a child caught up to me moments later with a house coat now bestowed on her. She said she understood it was an accident and she will be more careful to lock the door to her office before jumping into the shower.

A few hours later I got a message to meet Bad Wolf. She let me know she had a job for me, eager to make amends I accepted before hearing what it was...EVERY LIGHT BULB IN THE STADIUM NEEDED TO BE CHANGED OVER...this wasn't a job, this was a punishment.

I went to work, I did the job she asked for and changed them all over to high effiecnet energy saving light bulbs. You think she would be happy with my work. But noooooo, apparently my arrangement of the bulbs bordered inappropriate as I created light and dark pink circles that could or could not mirror a certain SHL GMs annotomy.

Since that day their have been "odd jobs" I need to do around the arena that get complete in ways they were not intended too. Painting the West side of the arena, removal of the chewing gum on seats, even washing the urinals and toilets (I really hope she washes her toothbrush before using it).

This has become the best part of my job.

Knights Timber pride

Deth Klaw does enjoy his time in the spotlight, but he also enjoys his times of peace and quiet as well. Klaw is more than happy to be a part of his team's marketing campaigns, but he is also more than happy to let his teammates take the lead on such things. There are times where he really enjoys being on the front page, but all the time gets old fast. It is nice to be able to go out and get a nice meal without being pestered from time to time! as well. Deth only fields sponsorship offers through his agent, whom he has been working with for a long time and know what kinds of things he'll be interested in pretty well. Klaw does like a good sponsorship but isn't interested in being on every billboard like some players are. At the end of the day, the fans are the reason he gets paid so he likes to make them happy, but also enjoys his own time and peace and quiet as well.

Hockey is back, so is the media covering it. Each player gets their time on the spotlight, but how does your player handle it? How big part they are for their team’s marketing campaigns and how does your player feel about that? How much they like addressing the media, trying to get out with as few words as possible or trying to make themselves as well known to land some hefty sponsorship deals?

Hockey media as we all know can be its own bear to deal with fun enough. Brooklyn Physt has the enviable spot of playing in Toronto, which is one of the most hockey mad places for a team that has been around since the beginning in the Toronto North stars. Yet she has the privilege of having been named Captain Toronto North Shore last season.

All of this comes together to mean that everything all all of the above is happening Brooklyn is one of many to be featured in many team media campaigns because how could you not have your team captain as part of your campaign almost before and after almost every game, she is going to have to be made available for media coverage, fielding questions dealing with the backlash, the highs and lows and everything in between And luckily yes, her name value she will be able and has been gifted sponsorships here and there allows her the opportunity to be very choosey with them

Leonard Wood is not the star player on the Philadelphia Forge so his time in the spotlight is kept at minimum. However, Wood is okay with that. It allows himself to focus on the game with less scrutiny that comes with the expectation to put up big points. The media typically swarms players like Tony Soprano, Cale Salad, or BASE PACK. But not Leonard Wood, he sits back and focuses on his game. But when he does answer questions by the media in press conferences, he is naturally professional in his demeanor. He takes his time to answer the questions thoughtfully and with consideration for the team and fans. The result is hopefully an informative story in the Philadelphia Inquirer for their subscribed readers. And his primary sponsorship opportunities are in the Madison, WI market. There, in Madison, he is a beloved hometown hero. Not many from there play in the professional league so he is embraced. This makes him a trusted voice for sponsorships back home.

Solaire has shown multiple times that he’s been more about himself and trying to get home then about playing hockey, and his GMs have finally gotten tired of it. All Solaire discusses is his friends from back home in Blacksmith Andre and Siegmeyer of Catarina and how everyone could get back into the world of Dark Souls and instead of focusing on the season coming up, Solaire has been stuck there. So, the General Managers have realized that Solaire is not prepared for the upcoming season and how he’s still distracted about getting back into his video game world instead of playing and readying himself for the season. We’ve seen this time and time again about how distracted Solaire has been and the General Managers think that if they get him working on stuff in the stadium like changing all the bulbs that he’ll get his head in the game and focus on the season coming up instead of being distracted by going home.

Alexandros Mograine is not someone who enjoys the media, he will not shy away from talking with them as necessary for the team but in almost every case he would rather not have himself be put on such a spotlight. That being said over the last several seasons the Syndicate have been going through the growing pains of a rebuild and with Mograine being the first piece in that rebuild he has unfortunately for him been front and center of a lot of Chicagos media pieces to advertise as they move away from rebuilding stage. When it comes to promoting Chicago and the team he will always speak for the media because it is his duty and job to be the face of the franchise but he would be lying if he didn’t crave for the day someone else would take that spotlight from him but the future looks bright for Chicago so maybe he can take a step back and be the introvert he likes being soon. Only time will tell.

Option 2

Mia Lavoie doesn't especially enjoy being at the centre of attention in any circumstance. Even having everyone watch her at a birthday party makes her a little uncomfortable. That said, she also recognizes that, like it or not, the media is just a part of the job. She takes interviews when she has to, but doesn't actively seek them out or try to get the spotlight to turn her way. And when she does partake, she usually tries to use the time to talk more about the team and recognize her linemates rather than to show off her peacock feathers and make it about herself. When she does have to turn it on and participate in interviews she's typically a pretty good sport and gives full responses before running away. And every once in a while she might go beyond the standard interviews to bring attention to an important cause or something, but outside of that she's pretty quiet off the ice.

I was recently VOLUNTOLD granted the honored task of bringing the Videotron Center into the 21st century by replacing all old incandescent bulbs with LED fixtures.  Though I am pretty certain the new law was meant to be about the lights illuminating the playing surface, I am now tasked with replacing EVERY bulb.  From the giant (scary as f***) ones above the ice, right down to the little lamps in the scorekeepers box.  I thought about clarifying our interpretation of the law . . . but the steam coming from THE BEST GM EVER’s ears told me shutting up was a smarter choice.  The following is a stream of consciousness while enduring this cruel and unusual punishment.

It’s a good thing I'm not afraid of heights, though driving a cherry picker on ice is a fear I never knew was an option.

Do they not have freedom of speech here in the great white north?? . . . Who’d have thunk that RAmenAmen would be so offended when I replaced him in all his family photos with RA from the spittin chiclets podcast?! I mean it’s not like I made it permanent!  Just a little glue stick, cut and paste action.

I’m gonna have to get a whole new halloween costume now as well.  The “Package of ramen noodles with a WORLD’S BEST GM jersey” idea is out the door now!

Why do I keep hearing giggling coming from the players tunnel . . . they better not even act surprised when a few clap bombs ring high on them in the next practice.

I’m supposed to be fishing right now.

I wonder if anyone’s every drifted a cherry picker . . . and if they have, what’s the record for best drift from the highest?  I’ve got my helmet on, I can’t think of a single thing that could go wrong!

Kristian Seppanen, the star right defenceman and assistant captain (otherwise known as ass cap) of the Atlanta Inferno hockey team of the Eastern Conference of the Simulation Hockey League, otherwise known as the SHL, pissed off GM @hotdog and assistant GM @micool132 by threatening to stop earn TPE and go IA. The reason Kristian Seppanen made such a bold and audacious threat was because these damn TPEs take so much energy to write these days, it's not as easy to write 150 words as it once was, back in the good ol' days when Kristian Seppanen was young and full of dreams of cups and fame and lore. But ever since MrPresident traded Kristian Seppanen in Hockey Nation (otherwise known as HN) away from the Renfrew Millionaires to the Arkham Yellow Kings, MrPresident has become a certified Kristian Seppanen hater, because Kristian Seppanen in both Hockey Nation and the Simulation Hockey League is a certified bum and people were mistaken for drafting him in fantasy.


"Change the lightbulbs , Troy" @luke said to me Friday as he is walking out of his office. I'm going to do it, he tells the coach how much ice time to give me and I want as much as I can get it. But I didn't come to New England just to be some light bulb boy. I came to be a hockey man. ... or something. Anyway, I get his angst with me. I thought the door said BM, as in where you go to have Bowel Movements, not GM. It was an honest mistake. And who has a 500 dollar trash can? If anyone is "Gross" it is him for having such an expensive can to put his apple core and protein shakes in.


okay, I will admit that I shouldn't have pissed on his desk. That was just because I wanted to see if I could reach the far end from the side with the trash can.
