Written Option 1: Nathangus McExplosion done goofed up. He angered @hotdog one too many times by saying he looked like that nerd picture guy we share amongst teamate right @Jepox ? He claims its "not me" but we all know it looks just like him and his eel face. Anyway hotdoge said : "Nathangus McExplosion, player of the atlanta inferno in the simulation hockey league, btw, if you don'T change all of the arena lightbulbs for free I'm gonna locktober you up in the general access locker room with @JamesT forever". So Nathangus had no choice to change every light bulbs in the arena because otherwise he would have to open all his stash of hoceky card packs very quickly and he does not want to do that with james t because james t is a menace and a bad influence on card pack opening addicts. The light bulbs are very high in the arena and angus uses a jetpack from his clone father to reach the heights and there he sees @Bongo and @CaptainCamel also changing light bulbs and they say they also told hotdog he looked like the nerd picture we shared in the locker room so it was funny and we drank a coca-cola.

Celeste is fine interacting with media, but definitely tries to get out of it with as little actual interaction as possible. This does not extend to the Rage's social media girls, because Celly is always down to clown and team media is always way more entertaining than reporters. Put them in a room with a teammate and a tortilla and tell them they gotta slap each other with it? Awesome, that's so stupid, let's do it. Guessing teammate baby pictures for a Jumbotron tv timeout video? Fantastic. But the postgame media scrum? I don't have a letter on my chest, guys, let me out of here. Especially after a loss. Celeste has no interest in talking to teammates, let alone reporters, after a loss. They need to be left alone and will often just try to escape out the back way as fast as they can or simply hide out in the showers until the fuss has died down and it's safe to leave. [164 words]

This one is a bit of a touchy subject in the Atlanta locker room. The only reason it is touchy is because of a power hungry GM @hotdog btw @micool132 is totally legit and not power hungry. The issue that caused hotdog to make me change out all the lightbulbs could be considered a misunderstanding (by hotdog btw, not me). It all stems from a picture that someone from the team obtained of hotdog. To this day, hotdog denies that said photo is of him. It’s confusing why he denies it when it’s so clearly known to be a photo of him. I once again brought up the photo of him being a photo of him and he once again denied it. I was standing right there holding his headshot comparing it to his face. That was the final straw. He forced me to use my wings to change out all the light bulbs. Luckily it was easy, so I didn’t learn my lesson.

Option 2: Leo is a big part of the marketing for the Syndicate. Him and Ho-Lee Smokes are two potential star defenseman playing together, and so far have been an amazing pairing. The fans of Chicago love the two together and it helps that Leo is a very tall man who doesn’t speak English too well, so people find him funny. Leo doesn’t mind the media attention, but he’s much more of a get to know your fans kind of guy. He’d remember everyone on his morning routine and would just be a normal part of the community. It’s not like he doesn’t like doing the photo shoots and the commercials but he’d much rather have a nice talk with a fan while he’s out in the park, or going to autograph signings. If he does get roped into doing interviews, he’ll answer all the questions and be honest, but with his lack of English and already not great speaking publicly skills, it would sound like he’s trying to get out of the interviews quick.

The coach of the Seattle Argonauts is a real hardass and decided to take an opportunity to get in the kitchen of newest Argo addition Jesus Murphy. Coach is an old school sort who believes in the value of mind games to find out what makes an individual player tick, and this was a good opportunity to get under the hood of a player with a lot of family legacy preceding him in Seattle. Upon being asked to spend the weekend changing light bulbs around the arena, Murphy set to the task without complaint. It wasn't until about the fourth hour when he stopped to take a short break that he realized just how gargantuan the task was, and how little progress he'd made. However, he put his head down and kept working through the weekend, chipping away at what he could manage. It wasn't until he reached a point where the bulbs had already been changed that he realized he was never supposed to complete the whole job himself. However, his willingness to put his head down and work made him a fan behind the bench.

Rasmus enjoys a good prank and he’s a big blue jays fan so he did the classic organize a giveaway during the home opener and bring out a brand new Tesla to be given to the winner of a lucky draw, with the only catch being that it was the general managers tesla that he was offering up for sale. while most would just laugh it off, this is whitecaps baby and there was no shot that he could just let this fly, lest he be in the position where now others are going to start to play pranks that involve his tesla. So he had to make an example of Rasmus and the new LED light rule seemed to be the perfect time to do it. Its not the worst punishment that rasmus has faced in his life and if you ask him he would tell you that the prank was still well worth it to see the look on his GMs face when he walked in and saw his tesla up for grabs.

Julian Florsch is not a big media personality, and doesnt live for the attention like some of his colleagues do. So he's always more than happy if someone else wants to do the post-game interviews, or be the face of the next box of Weetabix, exotic animal flavoured cat food or whatever type of rubbish companies want someone well known to present to the market. However, when push comes to shove Julian will do whats good for the team. So if that means showing up at a fundraiser, attending one of the sponsors events, going on camera to be the face of the next marketing campaign for one of the sponsors products or services or whatever helps bring in more cash to run the team and improve the team facilities, Julian will act happy to do it. And therefore, we are proud to announce that Julian Florsch will be the next face of Monarch Milk.

Peyton is a big part of the marketing campaign, he is the Hollywood star after all, he is the one that is tasked with being a bit of the media star for the franchise. He’s not only promoting himself but the team by extension. The Highlanders themselves have been able to ink some deals over the past few seasons due to this. He doesn’t just speak to media but he commands it. The photoshoots and videos that are posted to the team’s social media. Peyton is a natural in situations that involve the media. Perhaps when his career is said and done he could be some life coach or something. From the movie set to the ice there’s certainly a unique skill set for his traits. He’s a lot like a David Beckham in his sport. It’s truly an oddity for an ice hockey player of all things to be such a media starlet but he seems to thrive in every second of it

Option 1
It was definitely not intentional, I just love to get under the skin of my teammates and general manager. So I intentionally put a Philly cheese steak on the desk of my GM, being that he is from Philadelphia, I know that this is one of his favorite treats. However to mess with him, I put beyond meat in the sandwich along with swiss cheese. As soon as he bit into it, i could hear him gagging all the way from the spa room. He stormed out of his office and threw the sandwich across the locker room, cursing loud enough for the media to hear. The only other noise you could make out was me cackling from the hot tub. He stormed over to me and started whipping me with a towel. That is when he told me to get my ass out of the hot tub and that I would be the one swapping out all the lights in the arena with the maintenance staff. W:167

Written Option 2:
With Kelowna falling just short of winning it all last season, media hype naturally was high at the start of this season. Critics claimed that Gino Fortezza, who had a mediocre season ran hot just at the right time in the playoffs, yet still had some blips that lead to easy goals. Now Fortezza became basically the team's veteran overnight as Beargeron and Gagner got traded in light of the Knight's rebuild. Fortezza usually is a man of few words but took some media training to at least be able to fake a media personality. With many roonies coming in, the team needs a leader desperately and while Hawkey is stepping into that role, they are still younger than Fortezza and need backup. With the results being rather bad, while not unexpected due to the rebuild, Fortezza is doing his best to tank critical comments, not allowing them to diminish the young team's efforts and motivation. Better times will come for Kelowna, the project just needs time.

Given the lack of shyness and the love for attention in Sonja, she would be up for the task and would be quite happy to do so. Well that is unless if someone starts asking her dumb questions. After all her relationship with the media is bit of a double edged sword. She kinda hates dealing with them at times. That being said, she would for sure use this chance to try and gain some attention to herself and if she gain a few extra fans in the process or maybe even a nice sponsorship then it's a win for her. After all she can build her image that way quite well. So there would be absolutely no problem for Sonja to take part in the team's ad campaign, if anything she would be very happy to take part in it and try to help as much as she can. She also likes to talk quite a lot so there would be no problem with how much words she would use either. Or at the very least she would not be using a lack of them, that's for sure. (189 words)

Billy Herrington handles the media spotlight with a mix of charm and confidence. Being a veteran in the SHL, he knows that addressing the press and being a part of marketing campaigns is part of the job, and he doesn’t shy away from it. In fact, he often thrives in these situations, using them as an opportunity to engage with fans and increase his presence both within the league and beyond. For his team, the Atlanta Inferno, Billy is a key figure in their marketing campaigns. His charisma and larger-than-life personality make him a natural fit for promotional spots, and the team often features him in ads, social media campaigns, and community outreach programs. Whether it’s posing for billboards or showing up for fan meet-and-greets, Billy embraces the role as one of the faces of the franchise. When it comes to addressing the media, Billy tends to enjoy the process more than most players. He’s not one to shy away from reporters' questions, and he often gives thoughtful, sometimes humorous answers. He understands the importance of building his brand off the ice, and he uses these opportunities to connect with fans and potential sponsors. While some players prefer to get through interviews with as few words as possible, Billy is more likely to crack a joke or give a memorable quote, knowing that it’ll make headlines. He doesn’t go overboard, but he finds a balance between professionalism and personality. For Billy, the media isn’t just a chore, it’s a platform. He knows the value of staying in the spotlight, whether for sponsorship deals, team promotion, or simply maintaining his status as a well-known name in the SHL. It’s all part of his approach to making the most of his career on and off the ice.

Written Prompt 2 (161 Words).
Andrea recognises that he's still a name in the making, but one that may harness whatever opportunity he can muster to make himself known. At the beginning it was a real challenge, his english being sufficient but his italian accent and mannerisms noticeable from miles away. Fortunately for him, he's certainly a gregarious and outgoing person, and one eager to take on new projects face new challenges, handling the media and his social image are no different. As such, once he got better in touch with his environment and learned the ropes, he quickly became a natural at dealing with and thriving in these kind of occasions. Moreover, while he's not against partaking in some seemingly random kind of sponsorship, he certainly would rather only keep ties with such products or brands he personally would be a consumer of, for while spreading far and wide his image is important for him, he remains nonetheless, a man of integrity. |
