Please pick ONE prompt to write about. Do not mix and match prompts. Identify the prompt you are using in your submission - Copying and pasting the prompt will deduct from your word count so if you do this make sure YOUR submission is 150+ words excluding the prompt.
Written Option 1: Nothing compares to the joy of coming home to a loyal companion, or so does your GM think as they come up with the idea to boost morale of the team and to get a mascot for the team with one move. So they will get a team pet (if there already isn't one), but they let players pick what it will be. So what kind of pet will it be? What will it be called? Does it just hang around the arena or training facilities or will it go into the locker or even join the team on bench (I’m pretty sure there is no rule in SHL forbidding gooses from the bench)? Who takes care of it? Will there be dedicated staff for it or will it spend a week with each player? Graphic Option 1: Create image of team pet visiting the locker room. Written Option 2: Teams want their players to be at their best when they hit the ice so they spend money to hire best staff to help them. Personal trainers, physiotherapists, equipment managers and many more are there to help your player to achieve highest levels and be as comfortable on ice as they can be. Who are the most important members of non coaching staff to your player? Who they are? How they help your player and what kind of relationship they have build with them? Graphic Option 2: Create an image of your player working with a member of the staff You will receive 3 TPE for fulfilling all requirements. All responses are due on Sunday, October 27th at 11:59 PST. NOTE: IF YOU SUBMIT/EDIT AFTER THE DEADLINE YOU WILL RECEIVE REDUCED/NO TPE. Graphics need to be viewable when PT is graded or you will not receive TPE. Discord only hosts images for very limited time. Affiliate claims from either PBE or ISFL or WSLB or SSL are accepted; link directly to your post and note if your username is different there. If you have any questions/concerns, please PM me. Tasks with malicious intent will not be graded. The graders reserve the right to determine malicious intent, after discussion with me. You will not be warned. This task is for SHL players and send downs only. If your player is S80 this is not for you. PT credit: puolivalmiste

We have gone back and forth several times on this, as mascots are a wonderful idea, and we have settled on a tame polar bear. Both because if it very cute and cuddly, and because it can maul and consume our rivals when the moment is right
Honestly, I’m kind of surprised we hadn’t thought of it before, it seems like such a simple idea in hindsight - all we needed was some sort of pretext to house an extremely dangerous animal in our locker room, and we’d pretty well be all set to finally overcome our rivals in Maine Timber, and conquer the Southern Conference! I hope our new addition will also help out at the concession stand, both because of the incredible novelty, as well as our prior hire having been mauled to death by a, frankly, deeply misunderstood polar bear. Just a little more funding, and we can add him to our little St. Louis family ♥️
"That way - no, no, a little to the left!" "Oh, shit, not like that wait no -!!" crash!!! "Oh god Cake is gonna hit me again" :'0

Alexandros loves the non coaching staff and would say he has a great relationship with them, he would thank them at every opportunity and would likely give them extra tips and be as friendly as possible with them whenever he can. Just because they are front and center does not mean they are not important or meaningful to him. He loves the cooks for providing the best food available to stay healthy and eat well. He loves his medical staff and praises the medical staff of the whole league as the SHL has never known injury with how amazing they are. He also loves his personal trainers for giving him the best training regimens and helping make sure he isn’t wasting his time with inefficient training. A team is not just the players the coaches or even the gm, it is run and functions when everyone is in unison and we ate Chicago love our staff and make sure they are appreciated. -162 words

Written Option 1: The scarecrows already have a mascot, and thus don't need a new one. This is, of course, the suspiciously lifelike scarecrow in the team's LR, which is of course moved to the bench every home game and travels with the team as well. There are rumors that it's not actually a scarecrow at all, but instead one of the GM's girlfriends inside a spookily realistic scarecrow costume, but the front office continues to deny these charges to this day. However, no one in specific is in charge of taking care of the scarecrow, and it is often reported to have moved all on its own, with even a few cases of players (both for St Louis and opponents) reporting they witnessed it walking under its own power. There are also accusations that, on occasion, you can hear someone playing pokemon inside. However, these are clearly all delusions caused by the great fear and anxiety facing a team as spooky as the Scarecrows causes. Don't ask why sometimes the mascot has crumbs around its mouth.

Task 2:
Physiotherapists are the most important members of the staff if we don't include coaches for William Salming. They are very underrated people who help players deal with small injuries which don't need a surgery. Physiotherapy is one of the best inventions human beings have ever made. It is simply amazing how certain exercises can decrease pain and rehab you. For William Salming, physiotherapists have helped him to deal with knee injuries and upper-body injuries like shoulder blades and so on. They are very important for William and if he forever grateful for the help he has got from those professionals. Even after rehab process, he still uses daily exercises to prevent new injuries and keep himself in a shape so old injuries do not renew. It is also important aspect when being a pro hockey player. Your body is your tool. Take care of it and good things happen hopefully. Salming has got lot of help from physios during his 21 seasons in the SHL and they have made possible for him to play such a long career.

Having a huge whale as Vancouver's pet is a little out of the question, though we should just install an aquarium inside stadium and put a dwarf sperm whale named Canuck in there. I think it's doable cause that breed of whale is 9 ft tall so it wouldn't be that hard. Being the Vancouver Whalers it's a little hard to find anything to be our team pet besides just a fluffy mascot. If we were adding a mascot I'd go for something like Fin the Whale except maybe a different breed. Going back to the aquarium idea I think it's kind of out of the question to have the players care for it. There would be a few special people on the staff to care for it, feed it and keep it happy during the season. In the offseason we'd probably send it to bigger establishments. Sig by ME

Who are the most important members of non coaching staff to your player? Who they are? How they help your player and what kind of relationship they have build with them? This is probably why the team therapist for Montreal is the most important non-coach advisor to John Peanut for the team. Its bad enough to deal with the trauma growing up, but as an adult size peanut bodied hockey player, there's more than enough ridicule to go around. Despite the toughness of his outer shell, some of the commentary that comes his direction hurts, and while some retribution is easily handled on the ice with a well placed hit or puck steal, some things can just eat away at a person and if left unchecked can become a ticking time bomb for bigger issues. Mental health is no joke and should be assisted accordingly.

Without a doubt the most helpful people within the team org that have helped Ju-gong along the way are the team nutrition specialist he’s had with both Quebec City and now Montreal. One of the hardest things he’s experienced in adjusting to life in North America is without a doubt the change in diet and cuisine. It was a complete shock at how just little of his favorites and traditional meals were simply just not available in his new home, spending hours and hours shopping often to just not find any substitute for what he was looking for. Even the instant noodle selection is appallingly small in comparison to Korea, giving only 3 or 4 different options to pick from compared to his usual 30. Thankfully, his nutritionist has been able to not only help sort out some of those home sick moments with his meals, but also help find new things in Canada for him to indulge in. Having someone to help find both new, but familiar foods he wanted to eat was a bigger behind the scenes step that most are unaware of.

It's funny the prompt mentions geese, because The Philadelphia Forge GM has recently learned about retired superstar Evil AllBran's problem with his personal exploding goose population. In an effort to raise team moral therefore, a flock of geese is now on site and available to raise the spirits of Forge players. They are collectively known as the flock, although certain standout individuals have been earning nicknames in the early days such as Marinate, Dinner, and Jackass. For the most part the flock has been making a big mess of the training center and extra staff has been brough on board to provide care and additional cleaning services. The flock, being a flock and not an individual, does not come to the arena or on the bench for game days. Additionally, noboday has yet been brave enough to bring one or more of the geese home yet. In fact, the players have started a collection in order to help EAB build a state of the art goosatorium in order to take the flock back at some point soon. -----------------------------------------------------

One of the most important unsung staff members of the Seattle Argonauts that Squidwardo appreciates dealing with the most is the physiotherapist and athletic trainer. Helping Squidwardo stretch out after games, designing a plan to promote recovery after games whether it be between back to backs or just after a practice, the trainer is extremely important. Being able to recover between games is a majorly important thing that Squidwardo found wasn't emphasized much in the junior league, but is now a routine thing for him in the major league. Being able to use ice baths, stretching, massage guns, or even just mass consumption of protein after games, Squidwardo does whatever the trainers have planned for him. So far it has been working this season and he has felt a lot better playing a lot of minutes and back to back matchups. Not feeling like he is skating with cement blocks on his feet throughout the game has helped him a ton and he has been able to step up his production a bit more. (174 words)

In the effort to improve team morale, the Specters decided to adopt a team dog. The dog in question is a black Labrador named Shadow. The reason behind the name shadow is because of its dark color it could easily hide in the shadows and would spook anyone would wouldn’t see it, hence the name. The dog would not be allowed to join the bench to avoid the risk of injury to the poor puppy. The puppy will also chill in the team rehab facility to inspire those to get back into shape and not be mentally soft in their game. The dog will occasionally be allowed into the main locker room to relief players from bad games and to let them get more calmer after a bad day. The dog will also have to be taken care of each week by a different player to ensure everyone has a fair shot at comforting and befriending the dog. |
