Written Option 1 - 208 words

The fates have smiled down upon old man Viktor on this day! The second he catches wind of this plan, Vik is going to smile a smile so big and rarely seen that people are going to wonder if he skipped ahead to the future and won the cup. Nothing makes him happier than non-humans (no offense humans), and although his itch for accuracy screams for the mascot to be a literal lion, there is no way that would be safe or nice to the lion itself. So it's going to have to be a kitten, and since cats fair better in pairs, you know Viktor is going to show up with two siblings. Name-wise, I think it would be really cool to pay homage to some Pride legends who came before and go with Henrik (Lekberg Osterman) and Rikard (Bjerg). Cats being cats, they'll likely get free reign around the arena on off-days, and kept safe up in the pressbox during games. I can't imagine them particularly enjoying the ruckus, even if they do get used to it over time. The rest of the team will be lucky if Viktor gives them any chances to help care for the two, but regardless they'll be spoiled as fuck.

Written Option 1:

The Vancouver Whalers will sport a new team pet in a pet tortoise! The name is to be decided and will be based on a poll among the current skaters, but regardless our new turtle friend is welcomed with open arms to the Vancouver locker room, just being able to slowly get it's way around and make it to the stadium by the end of the 1st period. However, when he does reach the spotlight, the crowd will go crazy as he soon heads back inside to make it to the locker room by the end of the game. Honestly, not much is needed to take care our the new team mascot as he is free to roam the long hallways and people are sure to let him know where his food and water bowl is, but it seems like he just enjoys the environment of being around a faster, busier world. Maybe soon enough he'll appear as a guest on the ice!

Written Option 1
Well clearly, the Colorado Raptors will most certainly choose a team pet raptor as our team pet. It might take convincing Jurassic Park to let us borrow it for important games and special events. Maybe we get that one with the bit of blue by tis eye that was in the movies lately, I think it's just called 'Blue'? Anywho, to make sure players stay nimble and agile at all times, there won't be an enclosure for it. It's just going to be allowed to roam around willy nilly and bite at people as it wants to. Maybe on occasion it gets released into the stands to get the fans blood going and the people hyped. I think we just make @Takk806 the one in charge of it just because. There are most certainly no rules about an animal being on the bench the question would just be whether or not the team wants a live raptor on the bench during a game.

Written option 1:

The Ottawa Highlanders considered a few different mascots before settling on one. A cute highland cow with a floppy mane over it's eyes, dressed in the Highlander tartan was a popular choice, and nearly won. It narrowly beat out a strange spider made of rocks, but not quite a spider. It only had 5 legs, zero eyes, and kept waving two limbs around like jazz hands. It's weird mix of cute and creepy scared to many adults (the kids loved it) and it was vetoed before the end of the contest. In the end Frenchie once again put his hotdog agenda ahead of the cow and named the mascot Steamy, a walking hotdog that was apparently steamed and not boiled but no one but Frenchie could tell. Second year forward Hotdog Lunch was terrified, thinking this some strange threat from the GM, and anytime Steamy entered the locker room Hotdog Lunch froze and refused to take his eyes off of the mascot. The unnamed person inside of Steamy, rumored to be former defenseman Demir Bellona, noticed this and makes it his personal mission to scare Hotdog Lunch at every opportunity.

Option 2:

Hockey teams are a full fledged operation with many people involved to make it work. As players, not only do we have coaches who help us perform, we rely heavily on the training staff as well. They are crucial to the development and performance of us players. You want a franchise that gets the best of the best and I think we have that here in Texas.

The two members of the training staff that I find really important for myself is the physiotherapist and the skating coach. The physiotherapist is very important to me because I want my body in tip-top shape. They are really great at keeping everything strong and flexible, which lets me push my body hard on the ice and be able to handle the rough style of the job. For the skating coach, I work with them every day because I want my skating to be sharp, especially as a defenceman. I want my edges crisp and need to be quick and agile so I really rely on my coach to help develop those skills.

It takes a village to run a team right and these are just a couple of the people that make us great.

Anchor: With the Detroit Falcons on the lower end of the SMJHL standings; the owner had an idea to improve team morale after a day of Falconry with former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.; our sports reporter has the story.

Reporter: The owner of Detroit Falcons has added a team pet; one he bought from RFK Jr.! A Falcon that will hopefully kickstart this team 20 games into the season. We asked a Falcons player what they thought about the surprising addition to the team and here's what they had to say.

Bjelland: We love him; we named him Phil. Many players have different opinions on our owner but it's pretty unanimous that this was a great choice.

Reporter: According to team representatives; Phil will make his debut at the next Falcons home game and fly out over the crowd!

Anchor: Detroit is currently 13th in the standings so hopefully the addition of Phil the Falcon helps Detroit climb the ranks for an eventual playoff run.

Written Option 1

If we were to get a team pet in Texas, there is no doubt that it would be a trusty steed and we would get a horse as the team pet. The obvious choice for a name would be Renegade to match out team name, but I think we could do something cool like "Tex". This horse could be used in pre-game ceremonies too, where maybe a real cowboy could ride the horse on the ice with skates...if that is even possible. The other cool thing would be that Tex could be available during the off season for the Renegades players to spent time with and ride around the towns of Texas and in the desert. Having Tex on the team would be a smash hit with the fans too, who would pay a lot of money to come to the stadium and get their picture taken with Tex and then they can buy some Texas Renegades official Tex merchandise.

Marineau has three main non-coaching staff personnel who are always with him and that is very important to his success. First, his chef and nutritionist. Marineau prides himself on eating healthy and his nutritionist helps him stay on track daily and with every meal. It's so important to Marineau's lifestyle that the chef lives with him in his house in Colorado. Secondly, Marineau has a sports psychologist whom he met when he was younger. He's been by his side since he was a teenager when he moved from his family to try professional hockey. He is always available by call when Marineau feels he needs to discuss anything that's on his mind, or just wants to talk to someone to get a different opinion. Finally, Marineau has his own strength and conditioning coach that he trains with in the off-season to get him ready for the grind of the SMJHL seasons. The strong relationships Marineau has built with all his coaches and people around him are what keep him in such good shape, both physically and mentally.

Option 1:

Baltimore team mates went out and had a beer one night to talk about what team pet they wanted to represent the platoon this season. They came up with some pretty ridiculous ideas throughout the night before settling on one.

First up, the suggestion was an eagle or a hawk since it would match the logo but trying to tame one of these would be tough and also our mascot is the same thing so there’s a bit of conflict there. Next they talked about a dog which is pretty common amongst team pets but they decided that was a boring option.

New team mate Peter Tingle suggested a pig. The team oddly liked this idea. He would wear a spiderman costume and they would call him spider pig like the comic book character. The next day the team went out and got a pig and a costume and they had their team pet for the season.

Option 2: Since Nor likes to spend a lot of time in the gym, he has developed a good relationship with the team personal trainer who is usually always around the gym during his working hours outside of the time where we have a schedule team off ice training session. The team usually practices in the late morning, so every day, Nor will get to the arena an hour before practice and he will go spent about half an hour on a stationary to get his leg moving. Since it’s a low-intensity training, Nor will usually use this time to talk to whoever is at the gym at the same time as him this day. Sometime, a couple of his teammates will be there, but most of the time Nor his out there along with the team training which gave both of them a lot of time to talk about how their respective lives are going and to also talk about whatever is in the news.

Rence Sykut loves all of the perks that being a simulated professional hockey player provides for him including access to Seattle's rolodex of support staff that are made available to him by the Argonauts. First and foremost, Rence has become a gym rat in no small part due to the strength and training staff that he has worked with extensively to get his physical attributes up to par since making the jump from the SMJHL. Furthermore, he is ever grateful for the medical staff for helping him recover from game to grueling game so he and his teammates can avoid injury. It seems hard to believe, but not a single one of his teammates have sustained an injury in the four seasons that Rence has been playing for Seattle. This fact may seem astonishing, but it is truly thanks to the amazing trainers, physios, masseuses, and equipment personnel for keeping the Argos off the injured list.

Option 1:
The team thought it would be a great idea to get a pet. Obviously the Tampa Bay Barracuda thought having a pet Barracuda would be funny and topical, but after copious research we figured this would be too dangerous and we'd have to end up hiring someone to look after it. But we all really were digging the fish theme and decided what if we still get an aquarium but make it way easier to maintain?

So we landed on getting about 20 neon tetra glowfish. They seems easy enough to care for, and the tank didn't have to be monstrous. So we set up the tank in the locker room and now everyone got to line up and name a fish. I think some of the fish might've got named twice, but everyone seems happy (and it's not like the fish are going to respond to their name anyway). I named a bright green one Greeny. I love him so much and my happiness now depends solely on Greeny's happiness.

We have been BEGGING the management of NEW for years now to let us sponsor a team life wolfpack. We're the wolfpack, so it only makes sense to also have an affiliate wolfpack, right? Finally we found out that we have our very own wolfpack!! We were super excited until we asked if we could go visit them. The reply of "sir they are right outside" was concerning. What was more concerning was the crates labeled "caution: live wolves" and the prybar scuffed side of the crate laying down. About 10 feet away from the opening was a bloodstained crowbar. 30 feet from that was a blood-soaked boot. While I'm not sure exactly what happened, my guess is the package was stolen, and while they were on a hurry to get away, they slipped and hurt themselves on the crowbar. Who ever stole our wolves, i hope you are very happy with them and take really good care of them!

Will Nucks most vital personal staff member has to be his personal cook, Hans Von Klak. Will is a big boy and as a result he needs his protein to both get big and maintain that size. Von Klak is so vital to Nuck's performance that hes been contracted into Nucks seasonal contract. Making sure that Will has the energy and protein load that a supper star athlete has and needs is a full time job for Hans. Its more then just overloading on the protein, its also keeping the meals different so that Will doesn't get bored of what hes eating and also making sure that he likes it enough to eat all thats made for him. Hans even travels with the team and stays at the same hotel as them. its important that hes close incase Nuck gets hungry in the middle of the night and needs to fill his gullet.
