Written Option 1:

This season, Nathangus McExplosion has been playing his rookie season with sophomore Violet Stoica @Renomitsu (sorry if that's not how you write your player's name) and Shoyo Hinata, the OLD DOG, as we call him in the altanta inferno locker locker room, the former Season sixty six champion team by the way. Shoyo is very old @Gordon Bombay and should probably retire soon like dick clapper. The linemates are very good to Nathangus because Nathangus has been taking a lot of advice from violet and her experience as a rookie being fresh but also from shoyo hinata who was a runner up for rookie of the year like a million years ago. He was robbed by the way, the awards committee failed real hard by not making shoyo ROTY. Anyway nathangus is also learning a lot from Violet and Shoyo's mistakes as they turnover the puck quite a lot and to not make them feel bad, nathangus also does the same. Coach Hotdog @hotdog and Coach Micool can't teach them anything or how to not turnover the puck, hence the line's nickname "the uncrustable uh i mean the uncoachables". That eel boi on the team tho sure could teach them a trick or two.

Option 2:

As far as social media goes Matiss likes to use it to follow the other teams in the league and to stay up-to-date on how everyone else is doing. He does not use it to see what people are saying about him or his team but just to stay updated on things that are happening around the league in general. By using social media I think it is a good way to see what teams are doing well and what players are contributing to the teams. That way when you go into those games, you know what players to key on and match up against. Matiss will never interact with people on social media and just uses it to follow for information and stay updated. There are times when he would see some posts or topics about his team or teammates and would typically just ignore them and go look for other topics to read up about.

Prompt 1

Pork Tenderloin has had a variety of defensive partners over the years. The first significant defensive partner I believe they had would be @luke in his first few season in the league. However since the retirement of Jayson Aittokallio, Pork Tenderloin has found himself being paired with @Troy_McClure03 and has taken him under his wing. Week in and week out the two of them practice and build chemistry and honestly they have been quite the dynamic duo. I would venture to say we are almost certainly one of the top defensive pairs in the league. As time goes on, Pork Tenderloin will certainly fall victim to father time as we all do but Troy can take up the mantle as the defensive leader on the team and do his best to mentor new players as Tenderloin retires in the far future. I am quite pleased with the people I've had the honor to share the ice with in my time in the SHL.

Brayden Point is a well known center. One of his favorite sayings is how well he is a center he is nothing without his teammates to the left, right, behind, and goal. Brayden Point makes it his point to bond with his locker and team and become friends both on and off the ice. Both during hockey season and on the off season it is important to connect, bond, and follow up with the team. Brayden Point would go as far as to teach and play with someone who was leaving Tampa. You never know when that relationship might come in handy and you don't want to burn any bridges with the league or fellow skaters. During practice Brayden Point is a known leader on the ice and even without an A or C on the jersey Brayden Point is respected and looked up to for being a stand up player and well known friend. Tampa Bay has high synergy because we care about the team as a whole and want to be the very best like no one ever was. Barracuda

Prompt 2 - 160 Words

Trevor lahey used to pay a lot of attention to social media and the things said about him. But after he tracked down a few people that said some negative things about him during his rookie season and ended up with a restraining order and a night in jail, since then he hasn’t even looked at a social media post. Now days he just assumes it’s all positive post, which to be fair it has been all positive news this season, when you’re leading the team in all scoring categories it makes it really hard to say anything negative about you. The team has been pushing Trevor to get on social media to help promote the team, but it would probably just end in disaster like last time. What they should do is get Trevor a publicist to handle all of his social media life, maybe once the team is over this rebuild they will be able to afford it.

We've only just reached the end of Mary Hollywood's second season in the SHL (it feels like just yesterday she was bopping around in Regina, a mere baby Elk). As a result, she is still very much finding her way. During her brief SHL career, one can notice a distinct difference between her first two seasons just by looking at her statistics. Intriguingly, her overall point production only went up by one from her freshman to her sophomore season. You might expect this to be a mark of Big Sad, but no! This is the shifting of a role. No more passing for Mary. It was time for Mary "The Possession Ends Here" Hollywood to shoot. She dropped 33 beans and upped her goalscoring big time. This is because of her role with her teammates shifting! One can easily glean that in her second year, Mary was leaned on far more to score. The biggest shift here came in her work on the power play. Mary was thrown on the top power play unit with her esteemed teammates Celeste Desjardins, Jaromir Jagrbomb, Austin Morley, and shnopple lopple. While her power play TOI actually went down this season, one can only presume it's because they spent less time screwing around and more time actually scoring the puck. With a season under their belt to get used to the Mary Hollywood Experience, Mary and her teammates were able to build the chemistry this past season (and heading into a hopefully very successful playoffs!) knowing that Mary does in fact hit nukes as one of only three players in the SHL with a 20 shot accuracy rating.

Seattle is a very young team that has been drafted and begun their development journey almost entirely together, all within the span of a few seasons with the exception of a few veteran players. Growing together to learn the professional game from the onset of their careers is a surefire way to build chemistry, but importantly, it also ensures that the team's culture is solidified and ready to accept additions when they happen without being disruptive. That was the situation Jesus Murphy found himself in after being acquired by the Seattle Argonauts after completing his rookie season with the Hamilton Steelhawks. Coming into a team of players still around the same age meant that contention was not quite yet in the cards, yet getting a chance to get in with the team and begin developing chemistry at this point should help Murphy make waves when the time comes for the Argonauts to resume their place as contenders for the Challenge Cup.

Written Option 2:

Easton Schaffer has been quite fortunate to spend his first (partial) season as a DFA with the Ottawa Highlanders, which was a brand new SMJHL franchise, getting in at the grass roots level with a group of players thrown in together and building their chemistry from the ground up. Even more fortunately, Schaffer was drafted by the same Ottawa team in S78, along with the core group of forwards that are still on the team today.

His linemates have included players like Hockey Player, Peyton Campeau, Spaceman Spiff and Pique Boo, the latter now playing in SHL. We started off mainly as the team's youngest players, but are now evolving into the team's leadership core, as well as the Top-6 forward group of the team. We always practice together, and yeah on some occasions we do make some time off the ice to go out and enjoy activities and dinners. Since the team is newer, we haven't been subjected to, nor engage in, hazing rituals. The newer players like Hotdog Lunch and Leo Carlsson have just fit in our forward group seamlessly, as we hope they will do for future forwards that join in the future.

Thankfully Toasty has always been someone who thinks social media is a waste of time and only wanted to work on his game to make sure he made it in the SHL. There were too many times throughout his career when a teammate would get down and too in their heads about a slump they were dealing with all because they started to follow what was being said about them on social media when all they had to do was get their head in the actual game and try to get through the rough period. Toasty has had to make social media accounts as part of contracts with his teams but it is merely there just for one post for the sake of meeting the requirement and then never used again. That stance will likely never change as Toasty has always been an extremely serious player who doesn't let anything distract him from his game. Especially with his eyes set on the Challenge Cup again, all social media things can take a hike.

Roisin would probably follow what is written about them on occasion, maybe occasionally even contributing to the discussions about her online. She would likely find a majority of it to be positive, with said coverage focusing on her work in the defensive line for the Tidal or through her media work. For the latter, I can see her having built a bit of a following through her Rising Tide and Blizzard Buzz series. Though with that being said, I think she might have a bit of a negative reputation in some places because of her bullying nature on the latter. She would probably interact with her fans a good deal through things such as livestreams, gaming nights, and maybe spending the occasional day with fans. Additionally, I think her fans would probably be the ones to start the majority of the conversations. Though with that being said, I think there would be occasions Roisin would start them.

Gagner is a player who is very insecure and cares a lot about what others are saying about him. As such, he has created several alt chirper accounts that allow him to attempt to drive the narrative on what is said about him. He spends far too much time making posts hyping himself up. Unfortunately, he named all these accounts after himself and everyone caught on quite quickly. This has turned sentiment about him a lot more negative, where it would have otherwise been fine anyway, given that he is actually quite a skilled player. This led to his coach calling him into his office one day, and he told him he knew about Gagner's social media habits and wanted him to stop. "If you spent less time typing, and more time practicing, maybe you wouldn't have to worry as much about what is said out there." At the end of the meeting, Gagner was told he was to no longer go on social media in the future., which upset him greatly.

Celeste definitely has a penchant for at the very least consuming social media about themself- podcasts are typically the particular drug of choice as it were. They're not big on reading on most social media platforms because they're definitely a videos and silly shit guy, but they'll see it there sometimes as well. Most of the content they directly interact with is more harmless: fancams, highlight reels, blooper clips of themself falling or whiffing really easy shots in really stupid ways. It's pretty easy to bypass the negative stuff if you cultivate your algorithms to just not ever show you any of it, and that's exactly what they've done. If they want to hear stupid, braindead negative takes, they pick a stupid podcast or go on Reddit, which is probably not a place a professional athlete should ever set their digital feet. And podcasts suck and are stupid, but sometimes Celly feels that it's good to get external points of view, even if they are dumb as bricks ones.

Prompt 1

Howlett's teammates on the (tentative) third line's offense are Jennifer Huh and Anna Skovgaard, both of whom James has been slow to warm up to. Years playing against both of them still rubs him the wrong way when he has to work drills with them. Of course, he does, and he tries not to let these feelings bleed onto the ice, but away from anything hockey related he's stayed back. At least, for most of the season. With playoffs approaching, he wouldn't reach out to them, but he would accept any requests to attend events. Go share a meal, hang out outside of work, whatever. These two, and Koivunen and Tanner beyond that as the defense on the line, are going to be with James for the rest of his career ideally, so he figures that he has to learn to tolerate them eventually. Maybe they'll be friends at some point. For now, we'll stick to tolerance.
