Please pick ONE prompt to write about. Do not mix and match prompts. Identify the prompt you are using in your submission - Copying and pasting the prompt will deduct from your word count so if you do this make sure YOUR submission is 150+ words excluding the prompt.
Written Option 1:Your team’s local broadcasting station’s analyst desk has invited your player to talk about themselves as well as their team’s upcoming playoff matchup and the best way to win. If your player hasn’t made the playoffs, they instead invite you to talk about your player’s performance this season and how your team can improve next season. What do you tell the desk about your team’s current match up? What do you tell the desk about your own player’s performance? How is your player while on the desk? Are they a nervous wreck or are they cracking jokes and quips with expert charisma? Graphic Option 1: Create an image that shows your player guest starring on a sports broadcast desk. Written Option 2: Your player is invited to guest star as a commentator (either colour commentator or play-by-play) by another sports league! The pay is absolutely incredible, but there’s just one catch! Your player knows nothing about the sport and has to be there in 12 hours. Do they accept? Do they refuse the massive amount of money? How do they prepare? Do they just wing it or spend the next 12 hours meticulously studying? How does it go? Do they make a fool of themselves or are they charismatic enough to make a good guest star? You will receive 3 TPE for fulfilling all requirements. All responses are due on Sunday, November 17th at 11:59 PST. NOTE: IF YOU SUBMIT/EDIT AFTER THE DEADLINE YOU WILL RECEIVE REDUCED/NO TPE. Graphics need to be viewable when PT is graded or you will not receive TPE. Discord only hosts images for very limited time. Affiliate claims from either PBE or ISFL or WSLB or SSL are accepted; link directly to your post and note if your username is different there. If you have any questions/concerns, please PM me. Tasks with malicious intent will not be graded. The graders reserve the right to determine malicious intent, after discussion with me. You will not be warned. This task is for SHL players and send downs only. If your player is S80 or S81 this is not for you. PT credit: Naomi

Written Option 1: The Edmonton Blizzard were eliminated from the playoffs with the least wins in the league. Of course, that didn't mean there were no promising signs, and Alexa Johansen, rookie and new superstar, had been invited on by the team's media team to do some interviews. Of course, they started discussing the team performance, what could improve, what to look forward to in the future, what, exactly, those promising signs actually were. But everyone knew the real topic would be the performance of the players. With so much of the team being rookies, there was plenty to talk about, though the casters largely focused on the forwards, Alexa's own role and area of expertise. They discussed the MattyJ trade, the performance of Matviy and how he could become the leader of the second line, as well as Alexa's linemates, Olafur Atlason and Gwendolyn Telenn, but then it was the real highlight of the show: discussing Johansen's own record breaking rookie season, what she did and how she trained, in order to get 89 points as a rookie, setting a new modern era record for the SHL.

Task 2:
William Salming knows a lot about media stuff when it comes to pro sports. One thing he has learned during the years is that you have to respect the customer who pays a lot of money to watch sports. That customer expects that he gets a broadcast which has excellent quality when it comes to commentators and play-by-play guys. You have to be very well prepared in those jobs to respect the customer. That's why also William Salming turned down the offer from the NFL to be a guest analyst in the match between Seattle and Hamilton even though he knows both cities very well but American football is a sports which is somehow unfamiliar for him even though William watches the Super Bowl almost every year. But he doesn't know enough about the NFL to be able to give enough insight for demanding customers at home. That is the main reason why William folded the offer of 100 000 dollars for a one match. It was a great offer but Salming said thanks, but no thanks.

KFAN Radio in Seattle had AT-AT on as a guest for their segment on the Argos season recap and pre-playoff hype. They discussed how his rookie season with the Argonauts went. He feels he obviously has a lot of room for improvement but felt he had some good things to show. He led all rookie defenseman in shots blocked and was 12th in the entire league. That was a big part of his game in juniors so he was glad to see that trend continue in the SHL. He lamented the fact that he did not get into any fights, though. It seems players in the SMJHL are a lot more willing to drop the gloves than they are in the big leagues. Also his corsi was pretty bad at under 40% so he wants to be able to turn that around. The best part of his season was being part of a lot of enthusiasm and positivity about the future of the team, with a lot of young players the Argos were able to show lots of improvement and he is excited to be part of this new era in Seattle hockey. The team feels like their first round matchup against the Texas Renegades is going to be tough and the team as a whole has to be prepared for the high-powered offense led by league MVP Chris Valentine. They really have to buckle down in their own end and try to stifle the Renegades' powerplay as well. When asked for his prediction AT-AT suggested the Argos would surprise the league and take the series in 7 games. S76 SMJHL DRAFT 3RD OVERALL PICK S77 SHL DRAFT 4TH OVERALL PICK IIHF TEAM NORWAY

It really does depend on the sport for Johnny Patey V2, but for most sports, if he at least knows the general rules, will take this opportunity because he could almost get through it with just making a fool of himself. If he knows absolutely nothing, Patey V2 will definitely not be taking the role, because Patey V2 does have a goal to be an aspiring commentator of some sorts after he retires, so this could put future job opportunities in jeopardy. Patey V2 does not have an issue with looking like an idiot, but there are not many job opportunities for Patey V2 after the game because he did not go to college, so making a fool of himself in the one role he wants to go to would be a PR disaster for him personally. When it comes to money, it does not matter how much is offered, unless it is enough to retire for the rest of his life.

Grzegorz may have been invited by the Los Angeles Chargers to try desperately to build some kind of fanbase for that team, but that doesn't mean it was a good idea. Grzegorz won't turn it down. He'll try his best to learn how this weird bastard child between rugby players and lawyers actually works, but all that manages to do is convince him that the NFL is as rigged as the WWE. What he ends up providing to the podcast is not so much a foreign sports stars opinion on the Chargers, but a surprisingly detailed and convincing argument that the NFL should be considered a sports entertainment company and not a proper league. The WWE doesn't give a shit about this opinion, but the NFL world does. LA's GM is suddenly inundated with presser questions about why the NFL is smearing his goalie, and half the NFL forums on the internet have banned discussion of his interview with that podcast by the end of the week. The Chargers once again have egg on their face, but the podcast Grzegorz interviewed has millions of views from all over the world and have never been doing better. They're happy, everyone who thinks the NFL is a real sports league is furious, and Grzegorz is confused.

Written Option 1:
Hi Bob, thanks for inviting me on to talk about the playoff push for the Quebec City Citadelles. It is an honor to be regular season champs, but we won't rest on our laurels. We got here by hard work and being a complete team. And we won't be looking past Vancouver in the first round in our quest for the cup. We will beat them with the same formula that got us here. We have our high flying first unit led by overall top point scorer, Cris Rocca (that is what I call him as their full name is a tongue twister). And he and his line mates comprise one of the highest scoring units in the league. Then you have my Unit which is nominally our third unit, but we have the top three players in +/- and our D mates are 4th and 10th respectively. We are a good 2 way unit. And don't forget our goalies who can stop the puck with the best of them. We are not overlooking Vancouver, but I wouldn't want to be them right now. Code: words: 204

Jacob Marsh invited to be a commentator for the upcoming international cricket match for Canada. Why they chose a 3rd line J player to do commentary on a cricket March is anyone's guess but Marsh isn't going to back down to the challenge. To prepare for the match he picked up a copy of cricket '22 for ps5 and spent the night playing to try and pick up the rules. He failed that task successfully and while learned its a fun game did not gain the understanding necessary to even fake his way through a broadcast. During the broadcast itself, it actually turned into an entertaining watch with Marsh asking solid questions from an outsiders perspective that likely helped casual viewers increase their knowledge base as well. While there is still a vast number of terms Marsh doesn't understand (agricultural shot, stumping, Yorker, silly point etc.) He is starting to learn the basics like bowler and wicket and learned much more about the game even if some terms still sound like jibberish to him.

dieter frühstück was very glad to go on anchorage tv and talk about his season and predictions for the boats' playoff series against great falls. he mentioned that anchorage went 5-1-0 against the grizzlies in the regular season, and while that isn't a good indication of where the teams will be come playoff time, it's a good place to start. "we know that we can beat them," said frühstück. "we just have to make sure we play our game. we're taking them seriously, because what team wouldn't in the playoffs, but we know we can go out there and beat em." as for his personal performance? "i feel like i let myself down this year a little bit." he said. "not leading the league in blocked shots, and blocking less shots than last year with lower hit, point, and takeaway totals isn't exactly what i wanted to see, but we're a team, and the team performed well, so i'm happy with that." he closed off by saying that he believed the boats could win a ring, but they had to play up to their potential.

I got the call last night about joining the New Orleans Sports Network for a pre-playoff Analyst segment. I of course said yes and got my best suit ready to go. When I arrived I was quickly rushed through the dressing room where my hair and clothes were straightened up to look more presentable to the TV audience. The hosts, Sammy and Oliver, were there ready hours ago, but they would be doing a lot more than me today. They started off by asking me my thoughts on the Specters season and what we are doing to prepare for the playoffs. "Well, you know, the regular season did not go the exact way we wanted with finishing in the bottom half. Yeah 12th place in the league is not terrible, but ideally we would want to be in the top 10. The second half of the season saw us struggle to get points. With the playoffs coming up and us facing off my former team in Minnesota, the team has shifted focus on winning the series and moving on to the second round." You will have to watch the rest of the panel if you want to see what else was said, I went into detail about my performance and how I struggled defensively during the second half of the season.

I cannot believe you'd give me a prompt like option 2, and then have the audacity to provide me with other options.
Matthias is getting dragged out to a Jugger tournament, and it is going to be absolutely amazing. He won't study a thing about the sport, because frankly, he's just gonna google what it is, see how awesome it looks, and say "alrighty then, I'm gonna go in completely blind" Cue 12 hours in the announcers booth of Matthias going absolutely ballistic levels of hype over the sport. If you haven't played a round of Jugger - hell, if you haven't seen a round of jugger, especially with an unhinged buff guy cheering you on, you just haven't lived yet. Yeah, when he takes that job, he's going to look like an utter fool and have the raw charisma to make his appearance one that will feature in YouTube highlight reels for years to come. Just classic, unhinged nonsense in an incredible sport that desperately needs more attention put on it. Go, watch a match. Yeah, you. Go watch one now, PT person who's reading this and who is also probably Gwen. You. Go, shoo. Watch.
