13. Written, 50 to 200+ words. Five Nation Tournament
The only international tournaments in SHL are WJC and IIHF but in real
life we have had Olympics, World Cups and now the 4 Nation tournament.
What kind of tournaments besides of IIHF and WJC you’d like to see in
SHL? How they would be different from the current tournaments? How often
they would be played and would they be played instead of current
tournaments or would both be held at the same time? Or would you think
it would be instead better to restructure current tournaments?
If I'm being completely honest, I don't think there's a need for another international tournament and I say this as the biggest enthusiast of international hockey on the site and in real life. The Olympics are a multi-sport festival that just so happens to have hockey, the IIHF World Championship is the one sanctioned by the governing body of world hockey, and the Four Nations exists because the NHL doesn't align with the IIHF calendar and is too incompetent to organize their own tournaments. Maybe like a special occasional one to showcase potential new federations like the WBC that PBE had a while back? but even then that feels redundant. (111 words, +2 TPE)

Looks like [TEAM] won Season 79 Challenge Cup! So who won and why? What
could the other team have done differently to change the result? What
was your favorite part of the series?
The Pride have won the Challenge Cup, and to put it bluntly I do not think there was really anything the Forge could've done to make this series more competitive. After hammering them 8-2 in the first game when the Pride were a bit too rusty and shipped 3 first period goals, Philadelphia was utterly steamrolled in the rest of the series. San Francisco essentially ran Game 1 in reverse (3 first period goals for and cruise control the rest of the way) for a Game 2 win, then utterly banished their rivals to the shadow realm with a 14-0 unholy clobbering in Game 3 in the City of Brotherly Love. From there, the Forge were just completely demoralized and ended up shut out in Game 4 as well, and while they put up a much better effort in Game 5 in California, the Pride pulled away late to hoist the trophy to the heavens. This season's Four Star Cup should be a great fight between QCC and Colorado. On one side we have the Citadelles and their high-powered offence, the top team in the league in the regular season with 94 points and 3 scorers in the top 10 in points. QCC has had a fairly easy path to the finals, beating 2 of the bottom 6 teams in the league in the first two rounds and a good Anchorage team in the division finals. Their offense has slipped a bit from the regular season but their goaltending has stepped up and been strong enough to make up for it. On the other side is a Raptors team that finished 11 points back of QCC but with a more balanced attack. Colorado had a much more difficult path to the finals defeating 9th overall Detroit in the first round, and then knocking off 3rd and 4th ranked Carolina and Maine. The come in the finals as the underdog to 1st seeded QCC but I get the feeling that they're happy with that. While QCC was the best team in the regular season my prediction is that Colorado upsets another of the top teams and wins in 7 games.
2. (105 words - 2 TP) Having your 1st and second line centers above or near 100 points would make many coaches slacks grow tight. However, looking further and seeing that Philly's centers are 1st, 2nd AND 3rd in scoring on the team makes me wonder, "what exactly is it, you would say, you do here wingers?" Having such a disparity between linemates is a head scratcher and potentially concerning if San Francisco can focus on shutting down the high scoring centers. A one two punch has certainly been a mainstay of winning teams in recent seasons, but that without secondary scoring that one two punch won't carry you too far.
3. (155 words 3 TP) Twenty three points for a defensemen is great, wonderful, stupendous even. Unfortunately, Mr. Salad has seemingly forgotten to read up on his new positions role. Tied for a team worst 46.5 CF% and in sole possession of the title of "worst Corsi" at -52. A defenseman's job is incredibly difficult . . . and a forward moving to defense and absolutely HOOVERING up minutes is no small feat. Cale Salad absolutely deserves to be commended for their play. But that commendation should not be in the form of the playoff MVP at this point . . . if Cale hauls off and pumps San Frans net full of pucks (and his two teammates WAY in front of him points wise don't get any more) then sure, lob him back into the conversation! For now the Anton Reznov is a two horse race between Gnabe Dabson and Tony Soprano. My money being squarely on Gnabe Dabson with a nice little points cushion.

3. Cale Salad is currently 6 points ahead of next defencemen in points for these playoffs, if they keep it up could we see defenceman winning Anton Razov?
Yes, especially if they win the challenge cup because clearly Cale salad has shown an offensive ability that can be game changing at times well he's not the exact reason they are there but he has been a very big role as a defenseman in this postseason and if he continues this trend up against San Francisco he's gonna definitely will win the Anton Razov for Playoff mvp. Personally I didn't think Cale salad would be this game changing coming in to the postseason but he has proven me very very wrong this postseason. What a postseason for him and his club.

8.Both teams had to only face elimination in game during their journey to finals as San Francisco was taken to game seven by Calgary on second round, while Manhattan took Philadelphia to game 7 during their first round matchup. While both conference finals had multiple close matchups both teams should be coming to the finals being pretty confident to themselves. Both have also lost only one game at home so far, which would give advantage to Presidents’ Trophy winning San Francisco. But who do you think will end up lifting the Challenge Cup? Which team has the edge and why?
San Francisco is in a strong position to win the Challenge Cup battle and come out on top. Even though both teams only faced elimination once on their way to the finals, San Francisco's impressive showing as the Presidents’ Trophy winner makes them stand out. Their strong presence in their home games, with only one defeat, gives them a major edge over Manhattan. Furthermore, their ability to handle challenging rivals such as Calgary in a seven-game series demonstrates their capacity to excel in high-pressure situations. San Francisco's strong defensive performance and depth in their roster give them the advantage in this championship series. Manhattan has demonstrated resilience in their games, but San Francisco's consistent performance this season positions them as the top contenders to win the Challenge Cup.

I think Quebec City is gonna win the challenge cup because they have shown this season that they are dominant and I think it might be a close series between Colorado and Quebec City but I got Quebec City in 6 but I believe Colorado can also give a very good fight but Quebec City's superstars will make a difference

7. This time for J: Who you got? Who wins the Four Star Cup? Why?
It all comes down to this for the Four Star Cup. The Quebec City Citadelles, who finished the regular season in first place in the entire league, will face off with the Colorado Raptors, a surprise finalist after they beat the Maine Timber and Carolina Kraken to represent the Southern Conference. I think there is a clear favorite for this finals but I, unsurprisingly, have the Colorado Raptors winning the championship. Although I believe the Citadelles have the advantage in the series in terms of offensive talent, the last few weeks in the Raptors locker room have me ready to run through a brick wall for this team. The belief and comradery that I've been lucky enough to witness and be a part of makes me believe that we have a shot at pulling off the upset. Meowlnir Kittenson is playing out of their mind right now, practically carrying the Raptors throughout this entire playoff run. Sometimes, teams need to ride a hot goalie, and right now, I wouldn't want to be on the other side of the ice.

12. Written, 50 to 200+ words. Old Reliable IIHF Analysis
Write your predictions for this year's IIHF tournament or WJC! Tell me about your team! What are your expectations for your player? What teams are you watching out for this time around? Did last season's results surprise you and how much do you expect them to change this time?
This will be Normand Marineau's second time playing in the WJC. He never really had a chance in his first season, playing as the 4th line center. With some of the top players moving up to the IIHF, Marineau is hopeful to be of more use for Team Rhine. Although we are still in the process of getting the team together, I think we have a chance to compete and make the quarterfinals like we did last year. It's going to be tough to beat the usual suspects like Canada and USA but the WJC tournaments are always full of surprises. I think someone like Team World, who finished first in the tournament play last season, will likely fall towards the bottom of the rankings this time around.
