1. Milestones +3

3. West should absolutely build defenseman pairs of rivals. Using the existing teammates is something you should do in an IIHF run where you happen to have SHL teammates on your squad, especially if those teammates played together a lot during the past SHL season. That would give you an advantage over your opposition and make it more likely you win matchups of those two players, familiar with each other's game, over two randos who haven't played together before. This is not the IIHF; this is the All Star Game. Mix it up. Encourage flashy bullshit. Get those two arch-rivals who dropped the gloves three times last season to play on the same pair and show the world how they do. Who knows, maybe they'll get into it and cook up a really crazy trick play for the fans. Or maybe they genuinely hate each other and will both try to puck-hog at each other's expense. There's only one way to find out! We're here to have fun; being a sweat about your defensive pairs is counter to the spirit of the event.

4. Despite me being the other goalie on the team, Justin Time should get the starting nod for the West. This season was absurdly brutal for goalies across the league. The save percentage milestone for this season being below 900 should tell you everything you need to know: everyone got shelled and there were only three exceptions. Two of those were in the East, so Grzegorz got the All Star nod despite a deeply mediocre season for the West. Justin rocked out a 908 in a season where that put him in the top three. He starts. In the East, just go by order of save percentage: Denebor Milasch starts, Rebecca Montaigne backup. West still has better goalies.

A few seasons back in Quebec, Ju-gong started picking up curling as a pass time along with some teammates in the offseason. After a few years of this off season curling, he has started to become quite the powerhouse of a skip in local leagues. Perhaps identifying with his new dual-Canadian nationality, he finds spending time on the ice sheet throwing rocks instead of saving pucks plenty of good fun that still engages his mind. As a shot caller, he has developed a good sense for the tactics of the game, and can help his team of amateurs win pull off some unlikely wins at times. While still quite a novice at sending throws himself, he more than makes up for it by making smart decisions on the ice. He would never consider doing curling more than just a side hobby, but it’s one that he has steadily improved on and certainly enjoys doing a round of when time allows.

I don’t think that putting something like an all-star game inside a certain city does much for the fans in that area in terms of excitement. If the local team is bad, they’ll still be bad, and if they’re good, they’ll still be good. Local fan bases are dialed into their team a lot more than the league, and while an event would be well attended – anywhere there are fans that would be true. I think in order to get more casual and on-the-fence fans watching, something extra needs to be done in order to get their attention, and hosting in one of the same 20 cities wont ever do that. No, the all-star games need to be bold and venture into places afar. I don’t just mean cities that don’t have teams, that’s far too small brained, here’s what I purpose. SHL all star game in Antarctica, and SMJHL all star game underwater (in a facility of course). Make the news, turn heads, bring in the attention of those who might not watch otherwise!

6. With all the downtime after losing in the Conference Semifinals, Zedward decided to learn a new skill in the offseason - piano. Zedward had never played an instrument before (besides when he was forced to learn violin in the 3rd grade) and many of Zedward's teammates are musicians, so he felt compelled to try something new. He bought a relatively cheap keyboard off Amazon, then quickly realized it didn't even have 88 keys so he decided to ask his friends and do more research. While he waited for his much nicer, 88 key weighted keyboard to arrive, Zedward tried to re-learn how to read sheet music. It did NOT come intuitively for him. It took 2 whole weeks just for Zedward to remember what each note did and what all the lines were. Finally, 3 weeks after even deciding to play piano, Zedward's new keyboard had arrived and he was ready to start practicing. Zedward immediately fell in love with it, even though he was terrible. After another 2 weeks, Zedward had finished the "Intro Piano Songs for Beginners #1" book and bought books #2 and #3. It was only another 2 weeks before Zedward could play songs with both hands! Now Zedward has the rest of the offseason to try and learn some popular songs from the radio to impress his teammates.

11. I think there's one clear and obvious answer about where the next All Star Game should be held. The Moon! The Moon has been talked about as a potential IIHF expansion team, and this could absolutely be the kick starter to get the traction going. Hockey players will love to see how it could be a fun, exciting, and novel place to play!

13. I have your back
I have no doubt and I don't think there is any disputing that Mr. Cristoforo Roccamontepiano is a shoe in for the SMJHL MVP award, not sure what the actual name is.  Who is there that could make a better case for winning this award over him.  He was second in goals, second in assists and that spells first in points by a whopping 6 pts. And all this by leading his team to the number one record in the whole league.  He was also tops in power play goals by an amazing 9 goals.  He just knew how to put the puck in the back of the net. And the team didn't suffer defensively either with a +39 and great 76 DGR.  Just give it to them now.

6. Your player starts practicing a skill that has nothing to do with hockey, what do they do and how it goes?
One thing that Deth Klaw has really enjoyed learning more about is cooking. Hockey players need to eat, a lot, especially during the season. Gotta have fuel to perform on the ice. Some players are happy slurping down whatever tasteless glop that keeps them running, and some don't care about health and just eat fast and convenience foods to get their daily intake in. And while Klaw doesn't always avoid those things, he really became interested in learning to cook delicious and nutritious foods to keep him going on and off of the ice. After, if he needs to eat something, it might as well taste good, right? Klaw really does enjoy a good piece of meat, especially steak, and while it can get expensive, he can afford it on his SHL salary. Also he has spent quite a bit of money on kitchen gadgets to help him cook good food as well. So far, everyone who has eaten his food has said it was good, and maybe even asked for seconds, so it is going pretty well so far! (180 words, +3 TPE total)
